Title Song of the Bandits Spoiler
Can you feel the anti-japan in this? I wonder as a half japanese half korean.
I don't think it's healthy to feel the blame for something that happened in the past to different people than you. Japanese invaders are portrayed in a bad light (as they should), but same with Nazis, it's not anti-German to call them out. I advise you to watch it with an open mind that those people are different from you, with different values and goals. We shouldn't carry the guilt of our ancestors, and we shouldn't feel offended if someone expressed hate towards them for their bad behavior.

This was a great drama. My favorite character is Ji Hee, Hee Soo's mother. Her father is a close second. I know she wasn't a main character, but I found her story moving and her personality charming. I wish they would discover the kid with the power to stop time in the next season. It's going to be creepy and quite scary to go against this kid, but I'm curious about how it's going to play out if they were to introduce him in the next season.

why are the subtitles so poor though
I think it's because it's targeted to audience that hate watching anything with subtitles. Not going to specify a country, but there are some who only watch series with audio of their native language, and some whose native language isn't English but they don't have a subtitle in their own language. When I started watching Korean dramas, I used to pause sometimes to catch up on the English subtitles, I didn't know any Korean back then and English isn't my native language. It's hard to watch and read at the same time for beginners, that's why they simplify it. That and the fact that Disney is built for kids. Kids have harder time reading.

Honestly I find the actor that plays Kim Bong Seok quite cute. But I truly wonder how he would look like if he…
I'm not sure how he used to be, but he gained weight for the drama. Watch his episode of Gym Jong Kook on Youtube, apparently he loves working out.

From start this drama has so much potential it has super cool parents ,super cool kids ,and very good story. Only…
I think there are plenty of those around. I liked having all these seasoned actors in one drama. I also don't think people in their 40s are that old, especially at these times. They are not bad looking either, but everyone has their own standards I guess.

That was my exact question lmao how, after what he did with the bus to try to get his father's murderer, is he…
Maybe they will explain this as a flashback later on. If not, they must've added his character for comedic affects and they will only be using him as a tool to help the main characters. That would be disappointing though. His story of how he became Thunder Man was very interesting and sad.

Male lead for me
Yeah, him too, but I only watched the first episode and he wasn't on often. It's hard not to notice the female lead though.

No betrayal anywhere. Both the guy friends are a pair with different women. Watch on! 🙈
Thank you. The ending of the episode worried me, with the girl mentioning the friend's name, and the friend returning to the library to ask her about her name. I don't want that poor shy boy to get hurt.

I finished the first episode and I like the little changes that they did from the original. There is an epilogue…
Thanks, I missed it, Netflix skips it automatically for some reason. Useless epilogue though. They should've revealed something interesting, but they wasted it.

I just finished the first episode and I feel really bad for Kang Hoon's character and really disgusted by the "friend". I'm not really in a mindset that allows me to watch "friends" betray each other. If you watched the whole series, please tell me (in a spoiler tag) if this betrayal will be justified with a good reason (no need to specify it), and not the awful "I was trying to get you closer to her but we fell in love with each other" bs, because I cannot find it in me to forgive that. A friend wouldn't do that to another.

This will be my first comment on MDL, since I tend to not comment as I don't like to get into arguments or long…
Could you please recommend dramas with "deep and golden conversations about life", because I love those too. I still can't forget The Lunchbox and Il Mare. I keep looking for something like this but I always end up with shallow love stories.

I didn't watch Meet Yourself, I only watched Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, but I agree that it's silly to withdraw an award just because there is some talk online. I can't tell if there was plagiarism, but I came across a lot of online complaints about plagiarism when there wasn't any. I think common people take this word lightly, so if it is somehow a little similar to something else it's plagiarized, it reached the point where they would say something is plagiarized even when it's a cliché. "the constant appearance of the male lead whenever the female lead faces trouble in the village" for example is the basis of every drama/movie there is. It's idiotic to say that helping a damsel in distress can be copyrighted. Unless the "original" show files a complaint, and a committee of experts decide that something is plagiarized, they shouldn't prevent a show from getting an award they deserve.

Title Running Man
You are lucky, I rewatched the first 300 episodes until I memorized them. Now I'm allowing my brain to forget…
I'm referring only to the time just after the incident, not who is passionate now. Rewatch the episodes just after the incident. They were hard to watch. The members were like the walking dead. They got much better after ChulMin PD left. Just because they were making jokes here and there doesn't mean they were fully passionate about the show, the difference between before and after the incident was so clear that it was so uncomfortable to watch. I don't think anyone currently is without a passion, even the one (I think) you are referring to, on the contrary, that person was the only one who got better after and because of the incident. They became more active in making jokes and more involved up until recently. The latest format maybe didn't suit them, I can't tell why they are not involved recently but I'm sure they haven't lost their passion. I heard that they are trying hard to improve behind the camera, they are just not good at it.

does anyone know when we will see the kids again?
Episode 14 and 15 will be about Kang Hoon's father. He is the last parent to be featured, so I guess their story will continue at episode 16.
