Kinda like that snake on the plane movie, but with stupider pplEspecially during covid times, when it 1st hit…
It would've been a fun movie then, like Tom Hank's The Terminal. It got me fantasizing about being locked alone in an airport. They have EVERYTHING! XD

Only one passenger with "survival instinct", the rest are selfless suicidal people, and even that person with survival instinct was stupid enough to touch an infected person to ask her to quarantine elsewhere. At the end of the movie, when everyone was together and that person got infected too, he said something about the people in land being selfish because they refused to let their airplane land, one of the girls who he tried to force into the quarantine area said "you were selfish too". No he wasn't! You were!! Just to stay with your friends you were willing to sacrifice other people's lives. This is what a selfish person would do, not sacrifice looking like an A-hole to minimize the damage that virus has done. I personally don't care about staying alive but even I think she was being a brat and he was very reasonable, except for the physical contact he made which was stupid. I hate that they made people who wore masks and were pro-quarantine into selfish people, while making people who gather with friends even when they are contagious with a deadly virus into victims.

Great actors, weak plot, unrealistic representation, two-dimensional characters, cheesy script and bad CGI. The movie was not bad, but it has been done better million times before, it's a combination of Die Hard 2, Sully, Blindness (Novel), and the first episode of Fringe. It's a really bad sign when you can name which movie/book/TV show every scene was from. Don't feel dissuaded to watch it though, but don't come with high expectations, it's just another disaster movie to pass time. They clearly spent so much of their budget casting popular actors and a tiny bit on everything else. I can't think of another movie with 5 extremely popular actors in the lead.

This is the best movie I've watched this year, and possibly in the past 5 years. It makes Along With The Gods seem like a low budget movie. I loved it! I hope the sequel is going to be as good as this one.

Was he supposed to be ugly? I don't think anyone mentioned that he was.
It didn’t feel out of place since it’s a historical movie. I actually didn’t notice it until the Korean army man asked him to cover it with a rag.

Then I too thought he was handsome in the movie. XD
Maybe they were too focused on his hair.

Not as good as the first one, but pretty good. Yo Han's Japanese is very Korean, I can tell he must've memorized the script written in Korean, but he did a good job overall. Kim Sung Gyu was a scene stealer. Looking forward to the next one.

I don't need overdramatization to find a scene emotional, I cry even in supposedly funny scenes, sometimes even when nobody is talking, "feel-good" movies makes me cry the most, just a good line can hit me and I feel sad, but what I don't like about his movies is that it's like watching a movie with a sign on the corner of the screen with "This is a depressing scene" written on it.. I always fail to relate his movies to real life, because it doesn't feel real, I can't pretend that it's not a movie. I recommend watching a movie called Capernaum if you didn't. I'm pretty sure you will love it.

I didn't like Yaksha that much. Its genre is my favorite, but if Sol Kyung Gu wasn't in that movie I think I would've fell asleep in the middle of it. XD
I prefer this one, not because it's better but because it wasn't pretending to be a masterpiece which Yaksha's genre is full of, and Sol Kyung Go being in the cast would make it a higher possibility. They both lack at least something, but I've learned not to get my hopes up for a Netflix movie, their best one is just "hmm.. good?". They are just a way to pass time when you have nothing else to watch.

Title Little Women
Yeah if the screenwriter didn’t mention being inspired by Little Women, this drama could be accused of plagiarism.
I don't think plagiarism would've been an issue here since most (if not all) people wouldn't have made the connection between the book and the drama if they didn't know that it was inspired by it, and there is no copyright to claim. I think they chose to use the title because they wanted everyone to make the connection so that they can enjoy the drama more as they watch it while keeping the book in mind.

Remember the younger sister ends up with the ML in the book so don’t get too attached to the ML and Kim Go Eum…
Haha. From the looks of it, they are not faithful to the book, and I don't think they would go that way because it's pedophilic or at least frowned upon in this era, but I think you should mark your comment as spoiler though, just in case. xp

why does injoo and her friend give off such lesbo vibes in ep 1 like it's seriously getting my hopes up--
Yeah, I thought it was going to be rich man pretending to be poor/poor girl type of drama but with two women.

Never liked when they turn episodes into "projects" and they would drag them for a month, but I like that the new PD made it so that the episode would have a closure and it's entirely a different concept the next week. I was worried she would follow Chul Min PD's footsteps. It's always bad when you don't like an episode and you know it would be the same next week. I never looked forward to an episode he made. I liked this week's episode. It was well done, especially for a horror episode which are rarely fun, and everyone was funny.

If anyone is wondering where to watch the episodes with English subtitle after VIU stopped uploading new episodes on their website, it's on KBS World's YouTube channel, I don't know if it's geo-restricted though.

I totally agree. I found out who was the director after I already watched the movie, then it made sense that it was that bland. I know that some people would find this emotional, but I always get duped by his movies "looking emotional" thinking they will be emotional but end up questioning if I have any. I am a person who can easily empathize with people and characters, and I rarely do with his characters. It seems like he likes to force emotions out by making viewers listen to the characters' conversations, see them walk and stare at each other, and with the seemingly depressive colors of the scenes. His movies look sad but they hardly are.

He already established a character as "the chatterbox" in his first appearance. He likes to talk a lot and he seems very interested in the information given. He referred to some of them in Running Man. He's been doing variety shows for more than 15 years so he is able to adjust himself to each show's concept pretty quickly.

Title Pachinko
The fact that people on MDL are still debating on whether (a story like) Pachinko 'belongs' on MDL or 'doesn't…
I think it's about it being mostly an American production. Snowpiercer for example wasn't allowed to be here for some reason, even though the director and the main cast are Koreans and it was mostly a Korean production. I don't agree with this categorization, but I think there should be a clear rule on what makes an American Korean production qualified to be in MDL. I'm not sure what you are referring to in your comment when you implied that people are being ignorant because I didn't read the other comments, but Minari was considered in some American awards shows to be "a foreign movie" even though it was fully produced in the US and there was only two Korean actors in the cast as I recall. So, a clear rule on what makes a drama or a movie Korean is something that should be really looked into. Is it the story? where it's filmed? the spoken language? the majority of the cast's nationalities? the main cast's nationalities? the director's nationality? the writer nationality? the production team's nationalities? It's very confusing.
