On Under the Queen's Umbrella Dec 29, 2022
I just watched the first episode, and I'm confused to why Ui Sung's mother and her son say that they have more right to the throne than the queen's son, they are not saying it like they think highly of themselves or like they are entitled, they are saying it like it's a fact that has a basis behind it. So, I'm wondering if I missed something about the background of them, or is it a spoiler that would be later explained, or I shouldn't read so much into it, they are just both entitled and narcissistic. It was weird for me because the chances of both of them being that narcissistic and entitled isn't very high, and they said it like it was sad that the crown prince stole away what's rightfully theirs. I don't think false entitlement would make you sad and disappointed, it would just make you angry. They were acting like a poor wronged people who are just after taking back what was theirs in the first place.

I liked some of the episodes, but others were quite boring. I think they are relying too much on the cast. Most of the tasks aren't entertaining.

Can someone tell me the estimate of how much time it takes for subbed episode to come out after actual broadcast????I…
It gets uploaded in the same day. About 12 hours or so after its original airtime. It's subbed by VIU (Singapore). It's usually out at 7:00PM (GMT), but it can run as late as 9:00PM (GMT). Keep in mind that the original airtime will be pushed an hour next year.

I hate the episodes where they go around eating too, the latest two episodes were boring to me. I don't like it…
I didn't mean it in a bad way, I know for most of them it's just a character. I mean I don't like it when all the cast has that character. When they are all on the same level it's boring for me. I like some challenge. Their games and skills are very tamed and ordinary in my opinion, nothing makes you jump clapping excitedly. What season do you recommend then? I only watched episodes from the third season.

I watched several episodes of 2 Days 1 Night and didn't like it. I prefer fast paced variety shows like Running Man and The Genius, I'm not into the Slice of Life genre where they do everyday life, I only watch those when Kim Jong Kook stars or guests in them, because he often turns them into fast paced ones, I also don't like it when no one is impressive (in strength or brain) in the cast, 2 Days 1 Night is known for only having weaklings and fools as cast members. Not being mean but I like a bit of extreme competition, I'm used to being entertained by the idea of a supervillain or a powerful entity that can hardly be beaten.

Wow I'm really glad the PD has changed tbh, I got tired of the repetitive indoor quiz games and eating, and ended…
I hate the episodes where they go around eating too, the latest two episodes were boring to me. I don't like it when they do a mission to eat, then do another to eat again. This just reminds me of dogs honestly, and it's no fun, all they talk about is how hungry they are and how much they want to eat.

Is now a bad time to point out how inaccurate and widely discredited the MBTI test is?
I think it depends on the way you take it, do you believe there are only 16 personality types and each person of the same type is exactly the same as the others? If you did, then you would be wrong, and the classification would be highly inaccurate, but if you look at each letter separately and understand that all letters as a whole describes only a part of your personality you would be accurate. For instance, we each know whether we are introverts or extroverts, we can be a combination of both, but one is always likely to be dominant, and that affects our personalities, I can hardly do what an extrovert would find easy, and same goes for the other letters. Personality Tests don't tell you who you are, and what you should be, and doesn't classify people as the same, it's just a way for you to work with yourself and improve on it.

It's closer to The Man From Nowhere. It was referenced in the movie as "The Movie with Won Bin".
That was good too, but they can't be as serious with all the dancing here and there.
It isn't an original story, I watched it knowing that. From Leon The Professional to The Man From Nowhere and to John Wick, we've all seen it before, but what I like about this movie is that it's self-aware. They don't give you a false hope that it will be something special, they even mention The Man From Nowhere at some point. Anyway, I like Jang Hyuk's acting, it's always fun watching him in fighting scenes, and I like this type of mindless action movies. That is really what I came here for and that is what I got, but if you are looking for something brilliant, look elsewhere.

Korean John Wick
John Wick was the American "The Man From Nowhere". They changed the girl to a dog for some reason (Maybe because it's easier for Americans to feel bad for dogs than to feel bad for humans, or just for the irony of it).

John wick SK version hahahaha love it
To be fair, John Wick was the American version of The Man From Nowhere. The story has been done multiple times before, John Wick wasn't the first one.

It's been a while since we saw JongKook team vs JaeSuk team. I really like them as a team but I also like them when they go against each other. I wish they could switch it up every once in a while.

Does this give the same vibe as Mr. Queen? I'm looking for something with the same comedic style. In other words, does the queen lack the gracefulness of a historical queen? That's what I got from the trailer.

OMO!! Just 20 minutes into episode 1 and there are way too many characters. I can't tell who is who because they…
I had the same problem with some of the characters in Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. I think it's because they cast the same type of faces for princes, they are all "flower boys" with extremely soft features so it's hard to tell them apart, especially with makeup on. They should consider having some tough looking princes or something. Even if they are supposed to be brothers, they can't all be pretty, siblings often look wildly different.

I love this show, but I think this is the last season. The crew is quite old, except Se Chan and So Min. I miss…
I think age is really just a number, most of the older member are more fit than Sechan and Somin. JaeSuk and JongKook can outrun the younger members anytime. They talked about this once, they don't do active games as much as before not because they got too old or can't do them anymore, it's because it got kind of the same after a while so people got tired of them, so they are trying new things to keep them interested. I also like active games, but keep in mind that they are trying to match the taste of the average Korean viewer, not ours.

This drama wasn't entertaining enough for me. It dragged even though it had only 6 episodes. I barely was able to finish them. When I saw that Ha Jung Woo and Hwang Jung Min were the main leads I was sold and I had very high expectations, maybe that's why I was very disappointed by how lacking it was.

In the middle of ep. 4. Just a bit puzzled that Jo Woo Jin and Yoo Yeon Seok have rolls well below their talent…
Well, the main leads are way above their talent and status, so their roles are bound to be significantly smaller.

It's pretty weird that they decided to change the English translation of the movie for the 3 sequels. It makes it seem like they are another movie. It would've been less confusing if they decided that each sequel would have an entirely different name, but naming the third one after the second which is different than the first is very weird.
