Stranger was my first time seeing Cho Seung Woo. Everytime I see him outside of the role I have a hard time reconciling.…
Mine was God's Gift and his character was one of my all time favorite characters in dramas. Since then I've been following his dramas. He is a brilliant actor. Have you seen that drama?
Not seeing the Black Comedy - seems like normal palace politics to me. Love the Queen.
And about the black comedy, I'm not sure who are you referring to who said that it was a black comedy, but I could see it, I feel someone could laugh at the absurdity of how everything was going. I know I did sometimes. It wasn't realistic and there were too many coincidences. I think one of the funniest thing about this is the "Off with their head" concept. It seems like every dilemma can be solved by killing someone, and what they acknowledge as a "proof" is usually something silly, like when they said "if the medicine brought from outside the palace could kill the crown prince then it must be true that it killed him". I could prove anything the same way. I could just say if I could be a princess then I am a princess. What a silly thing to say. I also found the way the queen dowager committed suicide very funny, even though it was supposed to be tragic.

I'm not sure why everyone is saying that it's not a comedy, there were several comedic parts in this drama. The brothers' relationships to each other, their mother, and their love interests, the mother being not so graceful, the palace ladies who court the queen, the maids all over the palace, the youngest prince, Tae So Yong, the love interest of Prince Sung Nam, Rain's cameo appearance. I don't consider this a strictly serious drama at all.
I remember watching and thinking it was just a hallucination because I thought I saw Park Sun Woong lol He is…
There were also Joo Ji Hoon and Kim Nam Gil, and I don't think they even had a line in the movie, they were just randomly there. At least Park Sung Woong got to speak two words. XD
She did try to get her son out of murder charges. She was literally defending him as his lawyer and keeping him…
kinda agree but I guess sometimes your son is very suspicious you can't help but believe he is a murderer XD She has done the right move as a lawyer but didn't handle the mother thing too well.
She did try to get her son out of murder charges. She was literally defending him as his lawyer and keeping him…
To be honest there were too many coincidences linking him to the murders, anyone would've gone to the conclusion that he was the murderer. After watching so many law dramas I can tell you that the truth doesn't matter in a court. If all evidences point at you, you are guilty even if you are innocent. Lawyers don't care if you are guilty or not, they will try to get the best result for you even if it's not fair.
It came across as predatory and a bit offensive because he was like her last desperate hope for a relationship…
I don't see it that way. I think she is confident enough to think she has a chance with the assistant. She doesn't come off as desperate or insecure. And why is it predatory? He is not a child. He can just say no and not eat the fish. He won't say yes just to eat the fish, that's absurd.
I think they are suitable for each other and they will make a great couple, I always thought they had more chemistry…
That reason is good enough though, especially at their age. But I think her heart fluttered because he was being manly and helpful, so it's not like she just picked the first guy she saw.
OH MY GOD I JUST HATE SEON JAE'S MOTHER!!! Like what kind of mother doesn't even try to get her son out of murder…
She did try to get her son out of murder charges. She was literally defending him as his lawyer and keeping him from implicating himself even though she believed he was the murderer. The other thing was bad though, and very stupid. They can get caught very easily.
Btw, what does everyone think of Young Joo's sudden crush?
I think they are suitable for each other and they will make a great couple, I always thought they had more chemistry than the main couple in my opinion. Jae Woo might need more time to think of her as someone who is not like his sister though. I felt super bad for her when he said it was disgusting.
This debate about FL’s age is sort of meaningless and unnecessary!!!It’s all business at the end of the day…
If it's a male actor no one would've been bothered by it because males tend to age slower than females. Many actors like Cha Seung Won have been playing characters that are way younger than themselves and no one is having a problem with it. Yes, she doesn't look like a typical 35 year old but I know plenty of people who look 50 when they are in their early thirties. People age differently so it doesn't bother me at all. Jung Kyung Ho isn't that young either.
in the recent episode, 640, do they actually understand what Donnie Yen said and did he understand what they're…
They cut the part where an interpreter interprets between them so that they don't waste footage. I've seen one when Jackie Chan was there, he reacted to the interpreter so they kept the footage of the interpretation there, but they usually cut that out. There is also one when Ryan Reynolds and Tom Cruise appeared on the show, because no one except Jong Kook knows how to speak and comprehend English well. On another note, there is an after interview with Donnie Yen where he said it was difficult for him to communicate with others well on the spot (while playing the game) since they didn't speak Chinese, but he was thankful for Jong Kook for trying to communicate with him using bad Chinese (which I guess his way of alerting him while passing the ball to him).
This really should be made into a variety show, or at least a regular Youtube channel. The plot is outstanding. There are plenty of TV shows now that makes its cast do odd jobs here and there, but there is no TV show where the cast act like agents who help celebrities get commercial deals, it was like looking at the behind scenes of their world. JongKook and Haha using their connections to match up celebrities with companies so that they can do commercials for them is so fun to watch, and I like how desperate the celebrities are to get chosen by the companies.
Did i miss something or did they ever mention why the king had no daughters???💀i loveeed the plot. It was fresh…
It's not uncommon to have all same-sex children in one family. In this case I believe the writer thought that having daughters would only obstruct the plot process, because it's about fighting for the throne, and women aren't considered for that.
I can't think of anything worse. Her whole body got burnt, she got beaten up and sexually assaulted. What more…
I only saw the first episode of Taxi Driver. I thought school bullying was the worst in the japanese drama "Life" until I saw this one. This is definitely the worst I've seen so far. Even the scene when they were grilling samgyeopsal got me, I felt like they were grilling my flesh.
I can't think of anything worse. Her whole body got burnt, she got beaten up and sexually assaulted. What more…
I think there is a limit to what they can do as school kids without raising suspicions. Cutting her fingers off or injuring her face permanently would definitely get them into trouble. Burning her entire body is already crossing the line, I don't think they could've gotten away with it in real life.
My boy LDH needs a women of his own age, he is always miserable chasing older women. I mean either he gets pulled…
I get what you mean, younger guys dating older women are often portrayed as selfless in K-Dramas, but if I was him in this drama, I would definitely go after her with all my might, I would be as or even more desperate. I think hardly anyone would tell you that she is not out of his league, even when she is way older. Her character here is quite attractive. I didn't like her in any part she played before, this one fits her like a glove, and she looks even prettier as she got older.
What doesn't make sense to me is that they were so extreme during highschool yet ironically when they got older…
As you get older, you tend to think more about the consequences. Most of us have more power as we become older and stronger people, but we use it less since we know and realize what we'll be getting ourselves into if we used it wrong. I think it's always easier for a younger person to commit a crime or take a risk than an older person, regardless of how much power they gained.
it will for sure be explained later or if someone else comments to tell you :) either way you will find out so…
Thank you, that's all I wanted to know. I wasn't looking for a spoiler, I was only trying to find out if there was an actual reason to look forward to, or I was working my head for nothing.
She has done the right move as a lawyer but didn't handle the mother thing too well.
