I don’t know why I enjoy this messy ridiculous show. The one take away I have from todays episode (4) is that the thick glossy Swiss meringue frosting on MoNe & that Save CEO guys engagement cake looked delicious 🤤
Okay Iam now quite sure that Su min is mentally ill like it's one thing to be manipulative and toxic but she also…
The revulsion and full body shudder that hit me when she did that smile underwater 😰 She’s one scary “friend”. You are so right, the actress is doing a phenomenal job so that SM’s actions are convincing and you can imagine a person behaving like this in real life, rather than feeling she’s a caricature of a villain. With a lessor actress the role could have felt too outlandish and unrealistic. So kudos to Song Ha Yoon for bringing such an extreme character to life.
The problem is as i stated below - SW is not JA’s son, nor do i believe he is KS’s son. To me there seems…
Back in one of the early flashbacks when JA caught them together, there was a scene afterwards of DG & JA talking & whist he was claiming nothing happened he admitted he was “swayed” by CY. That was when JA wanted a divorce. So in my opinion there’s no misunderstanding, they had an emotional affair. He admitted he had feelings for another woman & was struggling to stay faithful. If there was a relationship between CY & DG before he married JA then he had no business being her emotional support and she is manipulative for asking that of him.
Drag the plot? Her story is part of the plot. She’s there to counter balance the ML. How boring would it be…
Ahh ok, I understand what you mean now. Rather than her character being unnecessary for the plot, it’s the execution of her storyline. I actually agree with your above points, especially the final one. I can’t understand the thought process behind her finding and dating her mums first love, when her mum still exists and is living her life in the US as she did in the original timeline. It achieves nothing but messing up Yi Chans possible future.
I don't really like the scene with Eun yu. Mostly her scenes seems unnecessary and just there to drag the plot.…
Drag the plot? Her story is part of the plot. She’s there to counter balance the ML. How boring would it be if there were no unforeseen circumstances and the story just followed EunGyeols plan to stop his dads accident so that he can peruse music? EunYu is the antagonistic force that a story is supposed to have. (An antagonist doesn’t mean a villain btw, before anyone freaks out, just someone or something that stands in the way of the protagonist’s goals.)
lmao why would a woman get past a man doing that to her They'll of course write in some wack ass forgiveness but…
I can believe there’s a misunderstanding, because the man is an idiot who doesn’t seem capable of comprehending what anyone says to him. When his current wife was talking about the son not liking carrots like his mum and mentioned blood ties he went off rambling about an accident as if he wasn’t listening. He probably heard one word from his ex and made a whole story up in his pea brain.
It was like Checkov's Gun. Why introduce Justin and then do nothing with him? What was the point?UPDATE: OK, I…
I think the point of him returning with Justin was to add the hint that he did something to his wife. Like if you were suspecting him, you’d go, “hmmm maybe he killed his wife and that’s why he all of a sudden has Justin with him”.
Why they even make fl to date sml in first place, if she gonna give up on him just like that and take 360° turn…
Why should she try to make a relationship work with the guy who was a jerk to her? Their relationship was based on dishonesty & his ulterior motives. She put plenty of effort into their relationship, spending time she should have been training with him and the first time she opened up and communicated her true feelings about boxing, he lost his temper with her. She’d lack self respect if she continued to date a guy like that. I’m not saying I think the romance between her & her agent has been developed well either, just that the one at fault for the breakup of her first relationship is the guy, not her.
So far, so good. Ep 4 was interesting. So I had to map out a family tree - but I thought each of the two divorced…
Thankyou for this Sherry. I watched all 5 episodes yesterday but could not work out who the Shin family were. I seem to have blanked out any scene with them and the SFL/producer so I was quite puzzled.
Okay, so I finally caught up and watched the first 5 episodes, ready for this weeks, only to read the post from Lovely Lunkera below that they’re only airing two episodes. Cursed sports broadcast, always messing with our dramas 😉So far I’m enjoying the show. Like a lot of others, I’m not overly invested yet, but I’m allowing the drama some time to find its feet. I have noticed with these long dailies that the first few episodes are often filled with awkward or exaggerated acting and a lot of clunky exposition to get us up to date on the characters & plot. I don’t mind the characters filling us in on their previous history or relationships, it’s needed, and I trust (or at least hope) most of the actors will settle into their roles and improve after the first 10 or so episodes. I did find myself zoning out during scenes with Eun Sung and her dad, but I’m not sure if it’s because the scenes were boring or that I’m not a fan of his acting from previous dramas and get easily irritated by the bird-brained-man role he seems to play.I enjoyed the touches of humour in the ML’s scenes, especially as he seems to take himself so seriously, so him slipping or realising he’s talking to himself in the park were a nice touch. I also like that the girl who has her sights set on SunWoo is so silly. Straight away you can see her plots are going to fail and she’ll be no real threat to the main couple. She’s more humorous than villainous & is presumably going to be paired with the older brother anyway. The only real villain is the nepo-actress who’s dad has paid for her to bully a whole theatre group & steal a worthless guy from the FL. I’m guessing she won’t be around too much longer or too involved in the ungoing plot once Eun Sang moves on from that little theatre.I do think I’m going to need to see a character relationship chart, or maybe someone here can help me out: I get who’s who in Eun Sang and Sun Woos families & how they’re all connected, but who the hell are those people we keep seeing eating around a table? The grandpa, some lady, a guy with glasses & a kid. What have they got to do with anything? The little boy is adorable and his dad is adorkable, but who are they please? 😊
Thanks for that link, I just popped it on for my workout and got a nice sweat up. Had to laugh in the last circuit,…
I focus mainly on strength training too as I have knee injuries & popping hip syndrome & stay away from most high impact exercise nowadays, so that was perfect for me. Thanks again. I’m looking forward to watching this after the previous disappointing weekend offering. Sounds like a solid set up & I love to hate a clear cut villain.
it is a miracle that hyoshim hasn't murdered her fam yet. Tney are even more useless than the FL's one in TRHC.…
Thanks for that link, I just popped it on for my workout and got a nice sweat up. Had to laugh in the last circuit, while dying doing push-ups, I noticed that pug was still sleeping on that couch. I haven’t watched this yet, going to wait for subs on Viki. Just came to see what the general consensus is.
And of course, YJ finally got a job at HDF thanks to little Dong and won the Big Bad Dong over right away (after…
YJ just had to give me my last full bodied cringe before we said goodbye forever with her shooting hearts at Big Dong. Though KS & MR not knowing how to kiss was an added bonus of wtf! awkwardness to see us off.
The first scene with KS & JD was moving, but it really shouldn’t have been set in MR’s room. Especially with her family all just perched in that lounge room awkwardly waiting for them to leave. KS should have left with JD straight away and had their chat elsewhere. But I guess then he wouldn’t have had the chance to reject and hurt MR one last time.
Because I hate this show so much, but I’ve continued to torture myself by watching it (seriously, how could I give up after investing so much time?), my mind has started wandering when it’s on & I’ve found myself focusing on irrelevant stuff. Today I had a good laugh thanks to Seon Ju. During the dining table scene when she was freaking out at KS, her eyes were so crazy. If she’d put any more intensity into screeching “what about my Jennnnny??” , her eyes would have popped out and hit KS in the face. The actress plays hysterically unhinged really well. I also had a giggle over her wardrobe. Why is she always dressed like she’s headed to the office? I know she’s “in real estate”, but ffs, she’s at her daughters bedside in a hospital or sitting on the floor at her mothers dining table. Her lightweight tweed or Boucle suits and dresses are strange choices. Everything about that lunatic is a strange choice though 🤪
