I have to laugh at Dong Snr. The old hypnotist (thanks @Loehla 😆) is the most ineffectual villain. He’s always a step behind with his plot ideas to gobble up HDF, lacking the most current info. He must be relying on that useless Director Choi who “helps” the Chairman for his dirt gathering. He’s so far behind the gossip on who’s with who, & what the Chairman thinks, that none of his plans make it past initial formation. Any meddling he does, like telling Jae Hyun about MR & KS, never works to his benefit, because the main player (Chairman) is either already ten paces ahead, planning to put anyone but a Dong in the top job or at least has the opposite reaction than expected. He can’t even keep his maid/sister under his control & by the time he works out she’s dating her baker, they’ll have registered their
marriage 🤣
I’m sure once KS starts working at HDF, Dong Snr will try to block his path any way he can, but I have faith he’ll be frustrated and unsuccessful at every point. He is very consistent at failing to bring shady plots to fruition. 😎

I don’t quite understand what Jae Hyuns problem is. Why is he reacting like this? When his little mate cheated on MR his reaction was lukewarm disappointment at most. In fact it seemed he suspected long before the reveal and was impressed by JH’s “ladies man” status rather than concerned for his sister. Is his rage due to him wanting MR & JH back together? Purely for his own benefit though. He probably sees DJH as his only way out of spending his life as the fumbling idiot who ruined a company. Or is he reacting like this because he’s actually that classist and narrow minded?

These wealthy, supposedly timid mothers always seem to find their voice & power when it comes to interfering in their kids relationships & making them miserable. (Their power being tantrums, stomping their feet, smashing plates, shouting hysterically , hurling vile insults/accusations then having a pity party because they’ve decided they’re the victim)

Maybe that will be when Pres. Dong will make his move, as he’s been silently waiting to pounce on the company. I noticed the plotting in his eyes and weird stage whisper voice last episode.

They do look like leeks, but if you look at the green part, there’s a difference. A leek has a flat, paler & wider green leaf where these (dae pa) have hollow, darker green parts. The flavour is pretty much the same as green onions/scallions/spring onions/whatever you call them in your part of the world.

What a smiley, warm episode. The brief annoyances of HR & Big D couldn’t ruin the overall sweet vibe. I’m sure they’ll do their best to make us angry in the coming episodes but if KS & MR keep smiling and enjoying each others company like this, who cares what those lunatics do.
JDs reaction seems promising. Like she just wants to make sure MR isn’t on the rebound & wont hurt her dad, otherwise she’ll be happy to see him happy & loved up. Then delulu HR will put her birth secret out there & hurt her, but MR will be there to comfort & support her & help KS reassure and make her feel secure. HRs face when she was talking to MR & desperately wanted to spill the secret (try to use it as a weapon) was vile. She looked so hateful and wicked. Can’t wait to see her plan to get SDs help stomped on like a bag of flaming 💩 when he discovers it’s “a rich girl” that KS is dating. His greed will see 💵 💰🤑 & he wont have any loyalty to HR. Though being dropped by SD will probably be what spurs her to go nuclear with the knowledge HS stupidly gave her. I agree with Sherry that HR will reveal JDs birth secret in anger, when she realises she’s run out of moves to get KS. Because to her it’s a useful tool to hurt the people she believes are to blame
for his rejection of her feelings. She’s spiteful enough to drop such a huge bomb on a whole family & hurt them over a silly 짝사랑 - jjagsalang - one sided love/crush that was never going to be reciprocated.
I really hope SD doesn’t do too much in regards to trying to leech off MR & family. I just know he’s going to demand stuff in his obnoxious, entitled way & I’m going to feel all kinds of secondhand embarrassment, shame & cringe. Ugh, he’s the worst

A perfect romcom, light and easily digestible. No unnecessary breakups, third party stalkers, hysterical mothers. Gorgeous main-leads with fire chemistry, plenty of passionate kisses and believable skinship. Nothing complex in the storyline , just a happy dessert of a drama with a decent serving of cheese to enjoy between other more intense, richly plotted dramas. I’m glad I watched this one despite all the complaints I read about it being superficial and plotless as it left me with a satisfied smile & a warm afterglow.
Side note; the tailoring of Junho’s wedding tux was beautiful and really amplified his manly frame.
Even though the plot was light, his acting was still layered and his micro expressions sold his emotions. Nobody in the cast dragged the drama down with their acting. Yoona convinced me she is a competent actress
too, though I think the obvious comfort she had with Junho helped elevate her performance. All their scenes together oozed an affable charm & charisma that made it feel you were peaking in on a real couple and even the cliches & tropes were palatable and cute due to that chemistry. I think so. I remember noticing in a previous episode that JH was taller than KS & being surprised. Not because I thought KS was tall, but my impression of JH is of a little twerp haha MR may have to get married in flats unless they put KS in Tom Cruise style lifts

That was the only part that disappointed me, that MR stood there with her arms hanging limp at her sides as he hugged her. Oh & the look on her face 😯 was a bit 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mr Choi is the worst spy for the Chairman. He has terrible instincts, always gives bad advice and his intel is only ever surface deep, missing all context & meaning. I have no idea why the Chairman trusts him when his actions are more like an incompetent enemy than a loyal supporter.

I’m enjoying how aware of each other they are. That awkward tension when they get close or meet each others gaze. They are cute and the relationship is developing nicely, but yes, MR is going to have to overcome her shyness & make it clear to KS that she likes him too. They’re both shy, but KS has everyone around him reinforcing the notion that he’s not good enough for MR, nor would she be interested in him. You can see the barbs hurt him every time someone shoots one off. His confidence takes hit after hit, so unless MR gives him the brightest, biggest green light, he’s never going to make a move.
I really hope we don’t have to watch too many scenes of HR being a jealous creep towards MR. Whatever she thinks she can achieve by bullying the person KS likes is a delusion. Hopefully it backfires pretty quickly and she gets put back in her box. She can pout and whine all she wants, as long as it’s in her office, alone, without us having to be subjected to it and without it having any impact on our cute blossoming couple.

Seems MS’s background check was as superficial and deep as MS himself considering it’s fairly obvious DH donates almost everything he earns to the children’s home, along with his spare time. MS must have done something dodgy to the Dong family grandfather when they started the business because he lives in fear of losing what he’s got as if he’s got a guilty conscience and knows he doesn’t deserve it.

Meanwhile, our lead couple still haven’t had any romantic progress. There’s still obstacles to them getting together in the form of HR, MiL, MR’s entire adopted family & then the apparition from the grave, SJ. But sure, let’s watch JH move on from MR by having an enemies to lovers storyline with YJ 🤷🏻‍♀️ Is that really where the preview is hinting we are headed?
DH, though he has my sympathy, his silence is really frustrating. I guess we know where MR gets it from. Her reaction to finding out he was her father was believable & I’m glad she let her emotions out. She deserves an explanation and DH is being foolish by thinking that he’s protecting her by letting her be angry with him and removing himself from her life once again. She has trauma from the way she was abandoned and him being open and telling her everything is the only way she’ll have a chance to heal.

I was joking in my post yesterday about the Dongs being forgiven totally and the soundtrack trying to brainwash us that they’re now the good guys….but today saw that joke come true. Everything is forgotten, everyone is cheering them on & they get sweet bonding scenes with soppy music. Now we have to get ready for the fun hijinks of YJ & JH. I legit feel gaslit.

Agree. I almost prefer watching the nasty JH than the hangdog, sorrowful one. Try as they might to brainwash us, using the melancholy soundtrack to lull us into a false sense of security that these clowns are actually remorseful, I don’t trust their pitiful act at all. It’s funny that they’re even putting on the performance at home for each other. I really dislike that everyone forgave them straight away just because JH has severe mother issues. It’s gross to blame someone’s crappy behaviour on their childhood when they’re a full grown adult. MR still didn’t think to mention that part of their plot was to make HDF’s theirs. I guess she really doesn’t care about the company or who inherits it, but she should still have some family loyalty & give them a heads up now they know everything else.

Oh are the Dongs redeemed now because they reconciled with soppy music playing in the background? All is forgiven because daddy loves his son & son is only an asshole because he has mummy issues. Please ignore JH’s smug superiority complex and rude attitude as they are just character traits expected of the rich. Never mind his treating his side piece like a whore, (& that he even had a side piece to begin with) as he apologised to MR & that’s all that matters. She forgives him, her family forgives both Dongs, & we viewers were treated to a touching father-son chess game so we can forgive those poor villains too.

He wears his glasses so low on his face, always scowering over the top of them, that it’s annoying. No wonder you chose them as the weapon to punish this villain. I’ve fantasised about a good round house kick to the centre of his face myself, just to push his glasses up 😂
