Title Mercy for None Spoiler
When Gi-Jun reappears after his assumed death & meets with Lee Ju Woon in Ep5, LJW tells him about Cha Yeong Do…
I think I only really took note because I kept thinking “if you know this Cha guy is manipulating everyone, why are you leaving him be?”. The old guy let it fester for too long.

Just finished this, and honestly I started it with zero expectations. And it hooked me right away.Tbh, it feels…
When Gi-Jun reappears after his assumed death & meets with Lee Ju Woon in Ep5, LJW tells him about Cha Yeong Do and the role he’s played in manipulating everyone. CYD apparently told Gi Seok that the Chairman’s son was going to kill Gi Jun, prompting him to take him out & setting the scene for the big gang war and both Ju Woon & Bong San to overthrow the Chairman.

Can you give me a spoiler on this tag pls: ex comes back? Is it MLs ex? And what happened to ML that made him…
It’s crazy to me, but no, no confrontation. She let’s him get away with impregnating another woman, turns her self into the “bad” guy, & then has to go back to her hometown like a sinner. I can understand not wanting people to pity you, or wanting to take your power back & be the one dumping the cheater but not even confronting him allows him to absolve himself.

At least this drama seems to be shinning a spotlight on that cultural alcoholism & will hopefully (🙏 🤞) advocate for treatment for alcohol abuse rather than use drunken behaviour for comedy only.

No worries. I hate that cliche too and I’m not too fond of the one used here, where to save face the FL takes the heat for her breakup, creating a reason that makes her look worse than if she just admitted the guy was a lousy cheater. This FL does at least have an unhealthy relationship with alcohol, so whatever help she gets to fix that will be positive fallout from her weird choice I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

Title Second Shot at Love Spoiler
Can you give me a spoiler on this tag pls: ex comes back? Is it MLs ex? And what happened to ML that made him…
No, she followed him after seeing him buy the test & saw him with his now pregnant side piece and overheard him promise to end his engagement with FL that night. FL went out & drank her pain, ignored his calls & then preempted his dumping her the next morning by saying she chose booze over him.

Could be! In Buddhism, there are six realms of rebirth; the Heavenly Realms, the Human Realm, Animal Realm, Realm…
Christian based heaven, full of nonbelievers haha. Tbh, the way they all act towards the Centre Director (plus the way he’s dressed and the actors previous roles) reminds me of cult leaders you see in the dramas. I’m just waiting for them to reveal his hustle 🤣

Title Heavenly Ever After Spoiler
If there is a Heaven and Hell, there might be more than “one” level for them both. This drama is slowly changing…
Could be! In Buddhism, there are six realms of rebirth; the Heavenly Realms, the Human Realm, Animal Realm, Realm of Hungry Ghosts, Realm of the Asuras and the Hell Realms. The Heavenly Realms , just like the Hell Realms has many different levels. Neither realm nor their unique levels are meant to be forever and are considered temporary planes of existence in the cycle of rebirth, with the ultimate goal being to achieve enlightenment by transcending suffering through the cycle of rebirth. The Heaven in this drama seems to be more Christian based in some respects (they mentioned G*d, the Pastor & Church, etc) they could definitely make it a more multi faith mashup, including Buddhist (& Shamanistic) concepts of the Spiritual Realm. Maybe the afterlife ends up being one big melting pot of religious beliefs, so nobody got it totally wrong, but no religion was right or “the true faith” either 🤷🏻‍♀️
I agree about the dog in hell too. All dogs are good boys/girls & go straight to heaven 🐕🌈👌🏾🌈🦮🌈🐕‍🦺🌈🐩 🌈

So yesterday Se Ri mentioned “our Jun Ho” to the cheating husband & today she said how she wished he was “all ours” rather than “all mine”. Today Jae In & Yu Gyeong said it had been 6-7 years since they’ve seen her. I’m guessing she has a child (son) with that dead eyed cheater. The names are even close enough to be siblings. Eun Ho & Jun Ho. She probably has something to do with whatever swindle Gi Chang is pulling on the company too. Seems she wants to take everything from Jae In.

Title Buried Hearts Spoiler
Seo Dongju & Heo Ildo surprised me with their casual disregard for the imminent threat from the villainous Yeom JangSeon. Surely they should have been on high alert for resprisal, considering HID just announced to YJS that he was no longer under his thumb and was taking SDJ’s side. Instead they were sat there, unarmed, unprotected and unconcerned, drinking & chatting (albeit their chat was a highly emotionally charged scene that gifted us some fantastic acting) & then opening the door without checking who was there. It’s like they forgot YJS’s favourite pastime is trying to kill Dongju (& his spiteful self would be pretty pissed at HID & unlikely to let him live after he tried to stand up to him). He never lets up, so it made no sense they were so relaxed about their security. It’s also hard to believe that after hearing from the Chairman that YJS revealed their father-son relationship to him, that they wouldn’t immediately suspect that Yeom has whispered other things in his ear to manipulate him. (Dongju had to have noticed the weird negative vibe toward him that started when those two old dudes were alone chatting) Especially when his reaction to this news was initially anger, then next is to set up a meeting away from the security of the family home. No matter how loyal SDJ is to CHC, he knows how Yeom works & how he uses & twists information to puppeteer others. Both Dongju & Ildo became sloppy and unable to discern danger just so that crazy fat baldy could come in to loudly murder without any obstacles to move the plot along. I could accept such lax behaviour earlier in the drama, but at this stage of the game, Dongju should not be making mistakes like this or trusting anyone outside of his core team. He should be almost verging on paranoia in terms of self preservation and protection. I am a little disappointed that this is how they decided to kill off Ildo. They still could have had Chairman Cha betray & set them up without having them both lose their edge and just sit there clueless, basically inviting someone to come kill them. They might as well have left the front door open and a welcome mat out for death.

I wonder if the housekeeper will drop her Kopiko whilst coddling (oops I mean cuddling) Deokhui, who will then gobble them all up and the massive caffeine hit will get her up off the couch, stop her woeful crying, straighten out the ugly wave in her helmet hair and kickstart her into action. Now that she can’t manipulate her husband into doing murder for her, she’ll either have to try herself or get her Mummy-Maid to poison everyone. Her bitter resentment would go into overdrive if she gets her hands on those Kopiko Butler Kong has stashed in her pocket ☕️👿

In my opinion, everything is much simpler. He just got used to living in this house and doesn't want to change…
This is probably the right answer. He is a simple creature, selfish & for him it’s not that deep.

Title Iron Family Spoiler
Quick question about the rat Chairman, why on earth is he so stubbornly holding onto that house? I understand that his ex reneged on their agreement that he buy her out when they divorced and she probably shouldn’t have accepted his terms at that time but now that they’ve come to a stalemate, why won’t he just let her buy him out and go live somewhere else? That house was built for JY and she raised her son there so it’s a home filled with precious memories for her. Her face is part of the architecture ffs. He has no such sentimental ties to the the place and it seems he just wants it to be spiteful. To live in her home whilst replacing her son with his and he’ll probably move BH in eventually too. To be honest, seeing as he entered the marriage penniless and only married her to get financial support/investment from her father, she shouldn’t even have to buy him out. It’s her goddamn house. Any money he gave her for it (& keeps sending back to her) should count as her alimony after living with his cold, cruel ass all these years. Compansation for his mistreatment & emotional abuse of GJ and alienation of affection toward herself. Even if that wasn’t the case though, if they’d been a family in that home, & he actually had a sentimental attachment and happy memories, it still makes no sense that he’s so convinced it should be his rather than hers. Actually maybe that’s it, he thinks it should be his because he has the money to buy her out and that’s all it’s ever been about to him, money. The big fancy house, known to be the Chairman’s home by outsiders is a status symbol he won’t give up as his image is so important. Ugh, how frustrating, & now his equally emotionally stunted, rude son lives there comfortably. Zero qualms because he feels entitled. (Notice GJ’s nervous energy when they all ate together? He’s lived his life acting the fool like that, full of anxious energy, nervously chattering, seeking approval, trying to please everyone) Give the woman her house back you ugly scumbag Chairman.!!!! haha

I was hoping for a relationship between chairwoman and Ha Na. I thought that they might make a filial bond despite…
I agree with your analysis and enjoy reading your comments, so I just wanted to make a gentle correction as I’ve noticed many commenters using the phrase “two dimensional” to refer to characters they find complex and interesting. Two dimensional actually means boring and uninteresting, like a flat geometric shape such as a circle or square that has length and width but no depth. A well written character is three dimensional, like a sphere or cube, meaning they have depth and nuance, offering more substance than say a cartoon character villain. I hope you aren’t offended by my mentioning this, as it’s a common error I see here, but your writing reflects an intelligent person who wouldn’t mind expanding their language knowledge. My apologies if I overstepped. I am a terrible pedant sometimes.

The audacity of Myeong Ji & Se Yeong in that conversation about how Yeo Ji better not betray them. Meaning she better not leave the company to someone else after all their manipulation. MJ had YJ’s daughter murdered and has been pilfering her company’s money for decades and yet she has the nerve to mention betrayal. Evil characters are always so deluded in these dramas, believing their crimes to be righteous because their desires come before anything. Can’t wait for the end when those two mealy mouthed witches are out on their asses. Previously I had a little hope that SY wasn’t as horrid as her mother and was just going along with her but she is just as badly twisted and greedy. Now she’s gleefully poisoning the well against FL for no reason other than spite. Its annoying that JinGu’s mother was so ready to believe the nasty things she said about HaNa and it seems she’ll smear her reputation with the Chairwoman next. So nasty.

u got what???The two have some great chemistry even off screen
You know they’re saying this because Gong Hyo Jin is over 40 (she’s 45 ) & despite being a great actress & ratings queen, she isn’t considered conventionally pretty. In fact she’s copped a lot of ridiculous criticism from netizens in the past for not being “as beautiful as her male costars”. So before the drama has even started they’ve decided Lee Min Ho is too pretty and young for her and therefore they sense “no chemistry”.

Se Young sucks, SUCKS and JiSeok must be colorblind if he is still attracted to this red flag!! Eun Chong's grandfather…
Any beauty she’s been blessed with is obscured by the sourpuss permanent sneer she wears on her face. If she’s not snarling and curling her lip up, shes throwing a tantrum or screeching at someone contorting her features with hatred and/or disdain. Her personality is an ugly mix of insecure jealousy, privileged self indulgence and an unearned superiority complex. There’s no redeeming qualities about her that should attract anyone, let alone JiSeok who has a legitimate grudge against her family. It makes very little sense that someone so petty and nasty has both ML’s romantically involved with her. Even when she suddenly grabs JinGoos hand and acts all sweet toward him, it’s obvious that she’s trying to change the subject or manipulate him. Due to this, until they prove otherwise, I’ll continue to assume both guys are total morons

Can someone explain her first marriage to me? I'm still a bit confused on what exactly happened between them
Her husband was bisexual and despite being with her, continued to have a swarm of male lovers. She was aware of this and didn’t seem to mind. (They seem to be of the belief that bi people can’t be faithful and committed to one person & must have a smorgasbord of partners). Her mother discovered his proclivities and outed him on the internet, claiming marriage fraud and including video or photos of him at some man orgy pile up. He couldn’t deal with the public condemnation and disappeared leaving her to deal with the humiliation & public ridicule alone. He basically left her in limbo and was too selfish and gutless to even have a conversation with her to give her closure. Because of the state he was in when he disappeared, she wasn’t sure if he was alive or dead. (When he did show up, and she finally confronted him, he blamed her for being the selfish one because none of this would have happened if she hadn’t been so accepting and supportive enough to marry him despite his lifestyle. 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Title The Tale of Lady Ok Spoiler
The comments over on Lim Ji Yeons Instagram are crazy. People are really losing their minds over an actress clapping (along with everyone else in the audience) for an actor (& Director of her agency) who has a messy personal life? They’ve analysed every micro expression that crossed her face and have declared her guilty of being too enthusiastic in her applause & therefore a supporter of misogyny. The moral purity police strike again. Aiming for a woman’s reaction to a man who has done something wrong/immoral rather than focusing on him. Absolutely insane. I’d love to see these perfect people have the same energy to hold themselves & everybody in their real lives to the same standards. And talk about misogyny, when a woman applauding is getting more backlash than the man at the centre of the scandal.
Anyway, all that ridiculous nonsense aside, I’m excited for this drama. I had a slight panic when I went to watch the first episode and found it’s not available on Netflix in my region, but thankfully Kocowa is also streaming it. Episode 1 starts us off well, so cross fingers for the rest. Let’s hope we all have a good time watching 😊
