So frustrating. Why is everybody so scared of SJ? Allowing her to get away with bigamy, fraud (faking her death), abusing JD, ruining MR’s reputation (& the academy’s) & costing her her job, the list goes on. Even Jenny’s doctor is allowing her to bully them into breaking the rules & using an underweight minor as a donor. Who is this powerful woman? Why do no laws or rules of society relate to her. What can she do if they say “No” or stand up to her? I’d be filing a defamation suit if I was MR & her family & reporting her for the fraud and bigamy crimes. It’s not like she’s going to kill them if they tell her to gfherself. I guess that jerk KS has chosen the Apple of his teary eye & will stay by JD’s side with SJ and MaHD (YJ will escape with JH) & live miserably ever after, as he well deserves. MR should probably meekly marry some rich guy her mum picks out. Hopefully he’d be less abusive than her previous two boyfriends and she could at least live a quiet, stable, comfortable life. I know there’s a beach scene spoiler, but I just can’t see how or why MR would accept that loser back again. It makes zero sense. I watched a preview trailer for the next daily & it looks so full of energy and potential, mainly due to the presence of Nam Samg Ji and her effervescent vibe. One things for sure, it can’t be any worse than this absolute fizzer. The only thing this show has achieved is to have the worst ML ever to exist 🏆The poor actor should make sure he never works with these terrible writers ever again. They’re total stinkers 💩
Im thinking KS never woke up from his coma and died and he’s going to be in heaven which consists of MR and…
Yes! I like it. This is the only way to redeem his weak disappointing behaviour. That “after the accident” episode was pretty weird, disjointed & dream like. They could totally retcon all the mess by making it a coma dream. Instead of a wedding, let’s have a funeral & the last scene being the beach in heaven 👏🏻👏🏻
See, i just watched ep 61 of BML and the ML packed his bag up and went to a hotel. Why didn't KS do that MONTHS…
He probably can’t afford it because he’s a loser with no ambition, no desire to better his situation & is happy working crappy jobs and giving his measly wage to his MiL. Also the ML in BML had a spine, whilst KS may have been born without one as he can’t even hold his head up. Always hanging his head like a wet noodle
I agree, even if it's fictional aspect, they should've shown more fights between women, ofcourse seeing woman…
In todays episode (Ep5), the opponent in her first fight is wearing full makeup which is against the rules. Even her hair is unsecured. We are supposed to believe this is a professional fight when she’s in the ring like that? The physical improbability of these being professional athletes was glaring today. After I was told off for mentioning it last week , I was going to drop the subject, but I just don’t understand the casting here. Or lack of preparation. When male actors seem expected to transform their bodies to fit their roles, why are women just doing fight choreography and that’s it? Why are there no strong healthy athletic bodies in a drama about athletes? (Lee Si Young is a great example of commitment to a role as she first took up boxing to prepare for a drama. The fact she became an actual amateur title winner in real life is pretty cool.)
Yes! Remember Secret Garden, where the FL was a stuntwoman? Her physique was believable - and she had much more…
That’s right! I’d forgotten Secret Garden. I was trying to think of examples of actresses in kdramas that were actually believable in a physical or athletic role. There’s also Lee Si Young in Sweet Home where she plays a firefighter. The casting director deserves a clap for choosing her as after Boys Over Flowers she became a boxer in real life so she didn’t need a lot of preparation for the role physically.
I just realized, I never watched any drama of Suho, even though I am an Exo fan (WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME!)
Of the dramas where Suho is Main Cast, Are You Bread is shockingly terrible, Rich Man is embarrassingly bad but The Universe’s Star is a fairly easy to watch web drama. I’m a fan of EXO too, but honestly and objectively speaking Suho’s acting in those dramas is stiff and awkward. He seems improved here, but really he’s hasn’t had to do much. He’s really musically talented, but acting doesn’t come naturally to him. If he improves it’s down to hard work.
True. I wish the actresses would look more like boxers. I know it's just a drama, but still...
I suspect it’s a production choice to not have the actresses build some muscle definition during the preparation time before filming started. Perhaps because muscular women are often seen as masculine and not pretty (which is rubbish!). A lot of actors transform their physique for roles. I just read about the guy who plays Kim Bong Seok in “Moving” & how he gained 30kg to portray his character convincingly.
She does. Her weight is perfectly fine. She looks great. But she also looks nothing like a professional boxer, even a Bantamweight which is what she’s supposed to be. I was talking about muscle tone not weight.
The posing and flexing from her opponent, Jo Ah Ra embarrassed me as you could see the actress had zero muscle tone. Her bicep wasn’t even as big as a chicken tenderloin. Male actors work hard and build up their bodies for roles like this. It’s disappointing these actresses haven’t done even the bare minimum to portray the strength & fitness needed to be believable as professional boxing athletes.
Why does the SML look like his face is rubber to me? Bad makeup or bad plastic surgery or way too much Botox.…
🤣🤣I’ve already mentioned how unsettling I find his face, so I shouldn’t go into anymore details regarding my suspicions of jaw shaving, cheek fillers, Botox etc 😉 as I’ll be slaughtered if his rabid kpop fans find us here because according to them, he has looked like this since debut 🤔 (childhood pics exist-jaws don’t shrink at puberty) but I will say that contributing to his uncanny valley look are his veneers which are too big for his mouth and unnaturally straight, but at least those can be fixed.
Nope. Nothing has been confirmed. There is a man , James Kim, that she has inherited from but it doesn't say what…
Ahh okay, thanks Sherry. I thought I had missed an important revelation in my quick watches. I knew I could rely on you guys to fill me in so I didn’t have to torture myself by rewatching SJs scenes
Hey guys, has it been confirmed SJ was married to someone else & if so, does HD know about SJ’s husband/other man in the US? Or did she shut down that conversation & not bother to find out? (I’ve seen comments elsewhere that sounded like it was confirmed & even named the guy.)
Kim Jin Woo's acting is really off for me... I don't have any prejudice against idols acting, because there are…
I have the same reaction. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but for me there is something a little unnatural or unsettling about him. Whether it’s his acting or his face (I’m not saying he’s ugly or anything, it’s just that he does have that look of a guy that’s had extensive PS. Please Winner fans don’t attack me), I am just very distracted when he’s on screen which is disappointing. I actually looked at Twitter (X or whatever it’s called now) to read what people were saying about this episode and all the posts were just his fans waxing lyrical about what a great actor he is. I guess it’s nice someone is getting something out of his presence in the drama. Meanwhile, I’m over here…😬
Wth? I feel like I watched this episode while drowsy, nodding off here and there, waking up lost & not knowing what’s going on. Unfortunately I was wide awake as it’s morning here & I watch while I have my coffee & make/pack lunchboxes. Why did they waste 50+ episodes early on only to rush & cram all the important storylines into the last 20? The 100th episode is a mess with no cohesion & I’m throughly disappointed in the way they’ve just time skipped developments we should have witnessed. A big boo from me 👎
