I hadn’t even thought about that, but of course SD would have an ulterior motive for running his nasty mouth. Calling DH too dangerous to have around JD is clearly for his benefit. If anyone shouldn’t be around JD, it’s him. He’s a terrible role model, dishonest & irresponsible. He’s a hypocrite too, as he’s constantly stealing, conning, scamming whoever he can, so he’s a criminal. Just unfortunately has been let off all the time when he should have been reported to the police. DH has made every effort to change his life and live decently. SD will never change and shouldn’t be trusted in anyone’s home or around anyone vulnerable or naive.

Yeah, SD has everything he needs staying there. Yet he still complains and expects more when all he does all day is practice his stupid limp noodle dance, spread discord with his gossiping & sit around picking his disgusting toes. In contrast, DH is an honourable man who has paid for his mistakes and just wants to live a quiet life while working hard & giving back via his work at the Orphanage. It actually angers me the way everybody has reacted to the news of him serving time in prison. All quick to judge him as violent and dangerous without knowing any facts. The Chairman and his family are such snobs but I bet they wouldn’t act that way about a fellow chaebol who went to jail for some white collar crime.

SD needs to shut his yenta mouth. So sick of his rude meddling. How dare he make DH feel so low when he’s already emotionally vulnerable over the MR situation. Everybody else on hearing the news overreacts as expected. Before getting any facts they immediately judge him, overlooking that he has obviously paid for whatever crime he committed and is now a kind, gentle, hard working man.
HR’s tone of voice was so nasty today. The woman can’t talk like a normal human being. It’s either revolting baby talk or venomous warnings. She’s completely bonkers and disgusting.

The scenes with MIL at the moment are exhausting. (Before they were irritating or infuriating) She’s like an energy vampire with that flat demeanour, sucking all the air out of the room & draining everyone of their life force. I doubt she’d ever get professional help. She gets attention from wallowing in her self pity. YJ’s whole life revolves around her mum. It’s kind of sad and pathetic to see a young woman have no social interactions outside of her home/work. She therefore has no positive influences and will just evolve into another bored, bitter control freak like her mum. Neither of them have any friends and just spend their time focused on the family members who live in their house, jumping to conclusions, invading privacy & overstepping boundaries. YJ should never have given up her job hunt. Her brain is going to atrophy like her pea brained
mums.

Yesterday I was puzzled by SS offering his MC services to JH for the wedding. It was so uncalledd for, and then he did that dancing & I just about died from secondhand embarrassment. I get that was meant to be a bit of comic relief, but gosh, why would he do that? So awkward, especially given how obvious JH is in his dislike for SS. SS’s desperation is too glaring. I actually don’t understand why he even works there. He should go work as a lawyer somewhere else rather than trying to be a minion for rich assholes at a family owned food company that won’t promote outsiders to the top jobs. Even being an ambulance chaser type lawyer would be more dignified than having to kiss
JH’s flat butt all day.

OMG!!! Thankyou for your rant. I actually posted below about how I had to pause 11 minutes in because I physically couldn’t take her acting. I’ve seen comments that everyone’s acting was so great this ep and I’m so confused because that was terrible. I don’t want to SEE the acting. I don’t want to see them contemplate their next reaction. I don’t want to be able to tell they’re just closing their eyes when they’ve supposedly fainted. Her grouper mouth and its panting and heavy breathing makes me uncomfortable. She’s the worst actor on this show. JDs actress did well today and she showed subtle restraint in her devastation . KS’s crying and guilt were believable too. But MIL was just an over loud, over exaggerated mess.

Oh no, I’m only 11mins in and my teeth already hurt from clenching them while I cringe. I had read some comments elsewhere about the MILs great acting in this ep, but I’m sorry, I can’t handle it. I feel no sorrow or pity for them during all the screaming, sobbing and collapsing. MIL fainting with her mouth open like a fish. My gosh, it’s so dramatic haha

Ahh Thankyou. I wasn’t going to watch because I was feeling too annoyed by stupidity. Thought I’d save a few episodes up and do a quick watch next weekend. But it’s Saturday afternoon here now, & I’ve got spare time so I’ll watch it now I know that it isn’t as ridiculous as I thought. (I mean it still sounds ridiculous but at least it’s not as far down the idiot rabbit hole as I assumed)

Look, I’m sure the police handle suicides, & when the victim has left behind a will & their wallet to identify them, the police contact the next of kin. Not some random woman 10 years later. Even if for some bizarre reason that didn’t happen, when the family were looking for her & registered her as a missing person, the police would have cross referenced unclaimed bodies from that time and notified the family. These people just believe anything without using common sense.

Not mean at all. That woman needs a taste of her own medicine, plus a dose of reality. She has no self control. She verbally abuses people and continually commits physical violence. Plus her stupid shaking and quivering she’s been doing in the last few episodes has pushed me over the point of being able to tolerate watching her.
I think I know the kind of dance schools you mean, we have similar ones here. No audition necessary, just $$$. I’m really critical and cynical about SJ’s whole ballerina storyline. The whole deformed feet thing especially bothers me. Unless she started pointe way too early (before her feet were hardened) she wouldn’t
have had
any full on deformity. She had JD at 20. Before that she was a student who took ballet lessons. I doubt she was in the National Youth Ballet. So she didn’t dance for hours a day, or enough to damage her feet severely. And to be honest, those photos of her in her stage costume…well though she is slim, that is not a ballerinas body. Not with those boobs. Get an actress that
actually was a
dancer (or hasn’t got implants) so it’s at least a little believable.

It’s legit psycho behaviour. Like, I get confronting your mistakes (like abandoning your child) can be uncomfortable, but she doesn’t even have to do it in person. She’s just chosen the craziest option available. Not to mention the choice that will cause the most damage to her family. She’ll probably just turn on the waterworks when she returns and her mum will tell everyone to back off and leave her be. She raised a selfish manipulator and I’m pretty sure she won’t stop pandering to her spoiled child now. Bullying KS, YJ, SS, SD, whoever dares to ask questions that upset poor SJ so that there’s yet again no true communication or character growth in that house. Apple/tree etc etc

I just commented elsewhere that Ban So Young plays nasty quite convincingly. I guess we need to tighten our bootstraps and get ready to loathe her as SJ 🥾

What a cruel witch Sun Ju is. Why not just pick up the goddamned phone and call your mother and tell her “Stop looking for me. I’m not coming back, I’ve made a new life for myself.” Rather than faking your death after all this time. I don’t care what her selfish reasons are, they’ll just be excuses anyway. There is no reason to do this. It also sends poor JD the message that even when her mum was (fake)terminally ill, she still didn’t want to spend even a second of her precious last minutes with her. When she finally comes crawling back, I hope someone donkey kicks her right in what I imagine will be her stuck up conniving face. I actually hate her character the most and we haven’t even really seen her yet (& there are plenty of other annoying clowns to dislike in this
show). There’s no redemption for a person who’d do this to their family, especially their child. Faking your death after 10 years missing, just because you don’t have the guts to face your family & tell them about your decision to abandon your husband & child? That’s some evil villain level ish. Senseless emotional violence.

More Junho content? Widely available in my country with reliable subtitles? Yes please sir 🙏 Some Netflix Kdramas may miss the mark, but generally I just appreciate anything that I can watch without having to use dodgy sites. Thankfully these days more streaming services offer Kdramas in my country, but there’s still a few shows that come out and I see that disappointing “Not available in your location” when I look them up. Especially on Viki & Prime.

Ahhh, that is a totally legitimate reason. I could understand her feeling that way, rather than this be just another senseless lie in a drama filled with people telling unnecessary lies that imprison them in unfulfilling lives (pssst KS & his hiding of all the truths).

I really hope that’s the case. The Chairman isn’t a fool and definitely has suspicious about the Dongs, but at the same time if he thinks MR marrying JH will benefit the company (& Jae Hyun) I fear he’d push ahead with the wedding. I find it hard to read that Director Choi cos he’s always blowing smoke up Dong Jrs arse. I know his loyalty is with the Chairman, but I can’t tell if he’s seriously fooled by the scheming little creep or he’s just acting.

Not only is the MILs character the worst, but her acting today was cringe worthy. That shaking jaw. KS also looked ridiculous when he ran in and flapped around to break up the fight. The storyline is frustrating and the overacting is glaringly obvious when you’ve lost interest because there’s nothing even slightly entertaining going on.
I don’t understand why MR is keeping her issue with JH such a secret. She could at least tell her mum that she’s reconsidering her relationship with Jerkface. The family are going to end up going ahead with her marriage plans and she’ll probably just meekly go along with it just because she doesn’t want to rock the boat.
I really hope CR listens to her daughter in law and looks at the Devious Dong Duos intentions a little closer before she starts booking wedding venues & sending out invitations.

Maybe they should add a supernatural tag as well as slight romance because Jay must be a vampire since he’s remained exactly the same age when everyone around him has grown up and grown older. Also what a pointless life he leads as the president. So much power, wealth and people under control yet he spends his time standing outside his girlfriends door, acting as her guard dog.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she also met a man at the reunion that helped stir up her desire to leave, cos you’re right, she had to have someone to support her.

This is a possibility. She has to have been caught up doing something with her life because as you mentioned, she obviously didn’t find success in the ballet world, or she would have been easily found. I just assumed she cut off her whole family because she’s not a very nice person and didn’t want to deal with them guilting her about abandoning her child.
