Finally, Ice Fantasy Destiny will be shown on the 20th of March on Tencent.
They could watch the whole drama at one go? wow lucky them. I dunno how much tencent vip cost, but I'd gladly pay a few $ just to see IFD at once, sadly I checked their site and they don't have an english version of it. I'm so anxious to see what happens between YanShi, I just couldn't move on from this couple. Hopefully I'll finally get some closure, altough I try not to keep my hopes too high.
I'm deciding whether i should watch Eternal love first or ice Fantasy first. What do you guys think? Eternal…
Unlike the rest, I love Ice Fantasy to pieces! It's far from perfect and I admit sometimes it gets kinda draggy, but I was (& still am) so obsessed over it, that I wasn't able to enjoy any other drama because of it. Like really, I've tried so many highly rated dramas since i finished IF, but they just didn't work for me. The second couple (who wasn't even a real couple) stole the whole show for me, I've never shipped ANYONE that much. I haven't watched eternal love yet, so I can't help you with that, but IF is definetely worth seeing, especially since there is a sequel starting up tonight, so who knows, perhaps I'll finally get the ending I was hoping for all along and I'll finally be able to move on to other dramas :D Eternal love is definetely on my plan to watch list!
I usually don't like sequels, but I'm sooo looking forward for this one. I so hope I'll finally get to watch the ending I've been been waiting for for 62 episodes for Yan Da and Shi. Can't wait!
I've seen a mini-teaser on facebook for ice fantasy destiny, anyone know the airing date? I'm mostly looking forward to it just because I'm hoping for a happy ending for YanShi this time <3
Any news about an airing date for the second season?
Oh I see, thanks for the reply. Someone on facebook posted a picture with the airing date being 24 december, so I was curious if that's true, but I doubt it :D Any idea about how many episodes will it have?
There will be a short series (a few episodes only) of them in the "human world" and thus dress in modern…
wow, 16 episodes sounds amazing, on facebook people are talking about 2 episodes only, which will air in february. Please keep us inform it, I can't move on from this drama :D
I don't really like Zheng Shuang, don't know if I'm going to watch this, although the story seems my cup of tea and I do like Ma Tian Yu. Too bad they didn't cast Alina Zhang, her chemistry with Ma Tian Yu in ice fantasy was amazing.
Everything aside, I thing the highlight of the last episode was definitely YanDa x Shi scene, everything was so beautiful executed. It wasn't just YanDa's scene, it was THEIR goodbye scene to eachother and to the audience and I think the producers did do their best to make it worth it. Everyone died next to the loved one (Luna, KaSuo, the fairy princess), and I'm glad that YanDa (and to some extent Shi too, because they never actually showed his death) did too. Compared to their scene, KaSuo-LiLuo-LanShang final scene was a lot shorter and not even close as memorable. I guess they did save the best for last, since YanDa and Shi were the last ones to die.
I've rewatched the last episode and I'm not that mad anymore. Why? Because in the end, I belive Shi did care for YanDa a lot. Of course, Ka Suo came first and that's alright, since ice fantasy was mostly about their bromance, but I belive Yan Da was the second most important person in Shi's life. As he said in the end, she was his most beautiful (so she dethroned Lotus, lol. flashback - back in the mortal realm, when she first asked him if he ever saw a more beautiful woman than her he answered his mother) and best friend (that's how YanDa called him too in their YunFei stage) and that's what Yan Da was looking for throughout the whole drama. Shi didn't have friends, Shi only had Ka Suo and yet he DID accepted her as one. He never said anything as personal as that to any other character, in fact he had a pretty cold attitude towards mostly everyone in the drama, EXCEPT Ka Suo (obviously) and eventually Yan Da, so for someone who's main focus in life is his brother to say something like that to someone else isn't really a small thing. Hence after his reborn, he lost all his memories, but one thing that he did not forget is how to light fireworks and moreover he seemed to use them quite a lot (there were like 3 scenes of him playing with them). Another thing that I noticed, after Flame killed Ka Suo and Shi came after him to take revenge, when Yan Da begged him to stop, Shi DID stop. And that coming from Shi is pretty out of the character, especially since Flame just killed the most important person in the world for him, KaSuo, but he did stop when YanDa asked him to stop. In his own way, I belive he did care a lot for Yan Da and he did try to protect her no matter what. When she died, she asked him two questions, 1. if he's going to say thank you to her and 2. if he ever liked her. He did in fact say thank you and in his own manner I belive he did answer the second question too, hence the fireworks that came after that.
If you plan to watch this JUST for the second "couple", as I did, than my advice is to stop, because chances are that you'll end up disappointed. However, if you're into bromance, friendship, one-sided love, beautiful landscapes, great OST and why not, epic battles, than you totally should go for it. Just don't do it, if YanDa x Shi is the only reason that drawns you into it.
They ended up with the best couple! It's just Ka Suo and his boring love triangle!
You can say that again, lol. I guess you've seen the spoilers too, huh? I don't have much experience with c-dramas, but it seems to be rather common for the second couple to overshadow the mains, chinese paladin 3, condor heroes 2008 etc.
I'm still going to watch the ending, although Yan Da was the character I cared most about, she deserved better from the writer (and from Shi for that matter) giving that so many people were drawn into this drama because of her.
PS. If the writer wants to stay true to the book by not adding a romantic plotline between Shi and Yan Da, than I certainly hope he's going to stay true to the ending too and kill off all of the characters that died in the book and I guess that's everyone else, lol
