and the owner posted that Tian Yu said he has no romance in IF. I've sent him a msg asking him where did he get this information from, but I'm not that familiar with tumblr so I don't know if he/she got my question. No answer so far.

This is getting frustrating, if Yan Dan doesn't get AT LEAST a confession or a kiss from Shi by the end of the show, I'll never watch another drama from this production team. Like really, I refuse to belive that the writer didn't take advantage of what-could-have-been the most interesting part of the story - the star crossed lovers aka Yan Dan and Shi, and instead he focused for the full 62 episodes on the boring love of ka Suo and Li Luo, the never-ending conspiracies and the dumb mermaid who can't do anything right. This can either turn up epic, either plain annoying and frustrating, but I, for one, am starting to lose my patience waiting for something that I don't even know if it's meant to happen. Someone from the production crew should at least give us a hint or a teaser about them, just so we can get the facts straight and stop hoping (or not) in vain.

Moreover, Yan Da is listed as a main character, yet so far she got less screen-time than some of the supporting characters, like come on, am I missing something?

I, too, am watching this mostly because of them, altough it's a good drama regardless, their potential romance is what can make it epic. I started this with low expectations, but their plot-line caught me off guard. I don't even remember the last time when I shipped a couple so hard, I really hope the writer knows what he's doing.

I don't know if it's true or not, but I definitely hope it's just a rumour. It wouldn't make any sense. I can't seem to find any spoilers on the internet about their evolution, but giving that all 4 of them are casted as main leads, Imma keep my hopes high.

I'm on 21 and I'm getting confuse, I can't seem to figure out Shi's feelings at all (altough I like that somehow) Thing is Yan Da is my favorite character and I'm starting to belive that Shi doesn't deserve her, she obviously loves him a lot, but what about him? Is he really going to marry the mermaid? They get so much screen time togheter, while Yan Da gets like 3 minutes every now and then.

For me it feels as if he's the main lead, his character is a lot more complex and three-dimensionnal than Ka Suo's - who's kinda generic and not so well developed. I've read some spoliers and I'm 100% sure that you are right and that Shi isn't blood related to Yan Da, but the big question is - will that change after his reborn as a fire prince?

Thanks for the answer, I kinda expected it : )I've never been a fan of Feng W, although I got to admit he's doing a nice job here. The Li Luo x Ka Suo part is ok, but nothing out of the ordinary, as Shi x Yan Da is. As I said before, I'm enjoying this drama so much mostly because of them, I've never been too big on wuxias, but their plot line actually makes me want to sit and watch the whole thing. Don't know where this is heading to, especially after Shi's reborn as fire prince, but I'm still hoping for some sort of closure between the two, although I got a feeling both of them will die by the end of the show. Hopefully at the end and not sooner, because watching this without Yan Da or Shi in it would be kinda pointless to me : )

I ship them so much, I've seen 15 episodes till now and I'm loving it. I don't even want to think about the possibility of them being blood related, I love them too much as a "couple" to accept them as brothers, like no way. I still have like 20 eps to go till the latest current one, but can you tell me if I should expect less scenes between them, now that they are both back from the mortal realm?

I understand what you're saying and I don't have any expectations regarding a real romantic plot line taking place between them, but I do hope for some hints or something of that sort. I do enjoy platonic romances and hopefully I'll get at least that : )

Well, I guess the writer spent too much time on the plot and too little on the characters - I couldn't care less for any of them, hence the plot seemed draggy and overall I felt it lacked a soul.
