I might be in the minority, but I DO hope they will keep the chinese version ending.
I don't see why some people belive that the c-vers ending is more cliched than the typical "they lived happily ever after"
Moreover, scarlet heart is 1 year older than rooftop prince and 2 years older than gu family book, they shouldn't change the original ending, just because some k-scriptwriters decided to subsequently use it as well.
Never though that this drama can become dumber than it already was, but I guess the writer is doing her best to…
You're welcome. You know what's really laughable though? The fact that you belive liar game was fantastic so you rated it with 9, while you're not too big on W and yet you rated it with 10. My comment might lack logic, but so does your brain.
This was the saddest but at the same time best (sad) drama I've ever watched. Gosh... I cried more about his death,…
I did watch quite a few melos, and I still think UF has real and complex characters and overall was quite a sad drama. Ofc, not the saddest and not the best, but better than the average melodrama for sure.
I so hope I won't have to wait 2 more years for another LKH drama.
PS. So many actors gained recognition after starring in a LKH drama, sure - her stories aren't flawless, but the one thing that LKH does perfectly is creating complicated / complex and imperfect characters with real and compelling backstories.
She's the best in bringing out the hidden potential of the actors, hence woobin and suzy were lucky enough to be cast in her drama, their improvement is obvious. They both did better than in any of their previous roles and I'm sure that's thanks to LKH too, so the "woobin deserved a better drama" comments are laughtable.
Never though that this drama can become dumber than it already was, but I guess the writer is doing her best to prove me wrong. I'm a sucker for smart stories, but this is plain stupid. Liar game, j-version is a lot more clever and tense than this bs, but I guess LJS has a wider fan base. Hence, I'd give it a 5 myself, if it weren't for the already pumped rating.
Similar yet quite different from the chinese version. So far I'm enjoying it a lot.
I haven't read the novel, but I'm curious to know what adaptation follows the book better. In the chinese version, the 4th prince had no scar and Hae Soo was wiser and more ladylike. Does anyone know?
Ok seriously . Are we supposed to go AWWWW because his mother gave him food in the last episode and forget that…
From your list, I've only seen:
Scent of a woman
MISA
Falling for innocence
1l of tears
Koizora
A thousand days promise
The snow queen
and the only dramas that I personally find them better than UF are MISA and thousand days promise. The rest are equally as good (scent of a woman, 1l of tears) or worse (Koizora, falling for innocence, snow queen). It's beyond me how can someone rate koizora and snow queen higher than UF, but hence to each it's own.

I, too, love melodramas, but unlike you, I did enjoy UF and I did get invested into the story and their characters. That aside, you say you've seen a lot of terminal illness shows, so tell me, if UF is the worse on your list, which one is the best? What korean melodrama actually made you go awww?
The real drama starts from episode 11 and episode 19-20 made me emotional. Actors tried hard especially Kim Woo…
To say that the writer and the director wasted too much of viewers time is kinda wrong, giving that I don't belive for a second that they wasted mine. Sure, UF isn't the best drama ever, but I, for one, enjoyed it more than most of the dramas that aired in the last couple of years. To each it's own, I guess.
I'm glad that we didn't get an open ending, I belive no writer can surpass LKH when it comes to melodramas, UF isn't really her best, but it's better than the usual average melodrama. Thanks for the awesome ride and I'm looking forward for Suzy's and Woobin's next dramas. They were both great.
