No, I can't see this epic love coming from XY, if you see it, than good for you, but I can't. Imo XY never loved jing the way he loved her. She has a lot of affection for him, but that's not the same. Her mentaly didn't change much with jing's death, since the beginning she kept saying she wont married anyone unless there is someone who will always put her first, otherwise she will rather adoptiong orphans to take care of. In her eyes, jing was never more important than cx, cx himself tell us this after XY's suicide. What she can't forgive thiugh it's CX's betrayal.

I am not ignoring XY's sufferings at all, but I don't believe her pain came only from losing jing, IMO a lot of it came from having her dreams of having a normal life next to someone who loves her and will not abandon her going down the drain too.

After XL died, XY chose to live for the rest of her life in the place where everything reminds her of him, so it goes without saying that she will never get over him.

She slept for 4 nights because she searched for jing for 2 days and hasn't eat anything, so she was exhausted, that's different than being unconcious.

I suggest you to re-read that chapter because that's not what happened. We don't even get to know XY's reaction when she heard about Jing missing, so I am not sure what you try to compare here.. Being unconcious for days? When did that happen?

Exactly, so I don't understand why would a Yaojing complain about this change. În the novel no one suggested XY anything about Jing's elders or anything of this sort, she herself came up with the idea of wanting first to finish her medical project. Grandfather even asked her if she is sure, because this might take a lot more than a few years. CX was just happy that she wanted to delay it, but he never suggested her anything.

Why are you pissed? In the novel she came with this idea for delaying her marriage to jing herself, without anyone suggesting it to her.

Into what coma did XY fell when Jing died? You make it look as if XY killed herself for Jing, which you should know that's not true and what triggered her was CX's betrayal. She lived quite ok without Jing for years. And what do you mean XY got over XL's death quick? Only the doll that XL left her made her smile again. About her 37 years underwater, she not once thought of Jing în the novel, there was no mention of him at all. At the end, XY specifically tells Jing she wants to go to the ocean, to one of those Islands that XL told her about, the Islands she wanted to see with XL, but he declined.

The novel ended with XY crying her heart out over XL's death and going with shiqi back to the ocean, to the place where she was mpst happy with XL. Shiqi can't even breath underwater, I am not sure what you find so happy about this ending, especialy as a Jing fan, but you know better, I guess.

I have seen ep 12, but I am not sure what are you reffering to. The fact that XY wanted to delay her marriager to Jing?

But it's not a happy ending, not being a tragedy doesn't make it happy.

She also protected him by self-harming herself when he got in that battle with CX. For someone who's so afraid of pain as WXL was, this fact alone speaks volumes. Thing is many people look only at what XY say and less at what she does, but what she say is just the top of the iceberg, there's a lot more underneath. YaoJing is easier to follow because they have the verbal communication, while YaoLiu has the tacit understanding between them and one needs to pay attention to the details to fully grab their epic tragic love.

You put the dot on the i, that's exactly my interpretation of the novel too.

I still don't see any source, I read and re-read parts of the novel several times and there is not a single passage where Jing is described as "love of her life". If you take everything literal, than I understand why you're so convince that XL is but a friend, since there's no kiss or a straightforward confession between them, but I personally believe there's more to the novel than what meets the eye. Lots of clues, lots of shadows, lots of unspoken words and lots of symbolism. You seem to pay a lot of attention on what XY say, but not so much on what she does, unless it's related to Jing. You just see the top of the iceberg and what lies in plain sight, but there's so much more underneath.

Oh that's different, I thougt they have been described like that in their official posts, cause that's what you said. It's true that FFB jas been named like that in the drama, but where is jing called the love of her life?
