I read elsewhere that the special episode may have all been a dream...but it didn't start with a character falling asleep or end with a character waking up so I don't know what to make of it all.

I re-watched that part, it seems that it's the day Toki graduated or right after. I updated my review but it doesn't change my overall feeling about it or rating.

Normally I'm really bored by the drawn out 45 minute episodes but yes, this was a bit too rushed. In 90 minutes they crammed in: boyfriend cheating and breakup, new relationship start, grandma in hospital, ex-boyfriend drama, tennis showdown, breakup and engagement. I would have been fine if they had focused more on tennis and removed some other things like the sister or the ex. Yeah, I think I kind of blocked out that very long suitcase ad in ep 10 lol. I also really liked the best friend.

It just started so we don't know how it will end, but from the trailer there will be a lot of angst and a happily ever after is not guaranteed.

It definitely can be interpreted in different ways. Normally, I might have interpreted it differently, but because this was from China I went with the interpretation that I did. I can see it being bittersweet. It felt sad to me because I'm not convinced that the 1 guy will magically forget everything and be happy for the rest of his life.

Oh that's too bad they never fixed the iQIYI subtitles, hopefully they are better on YouTube, very welcome :)

If you watched on iQIYI right when each episode aired, then try now, because sometimes a few days later they'll go back and fix subs. Normally there's a membership option for uncut kissing scenes and episodes are released earlier. I mainly watch the free YouTube version, they should release episodes 2 for free soon.

I'm hoping the teacher doesn't like the high school student romantically/act on it, I've heard some manhwa spoilers so it seems like that won't happen but you never know with adaptations...

yes same, there are only a few "sweet and naive" characters I've liked - recently in Caged Again and Knock Knock Boys

very welcome, I generally take notes as I go - a few times I've re-watched earlier episodes where I didn't take notes to get timings of suggested watch points

I haven't seen "Falling High School Girl and Irresponsible Teacher", here at least it's a substitute teacher for 1 month so not as much control over grades but it's still there for a month. Step siblings don't bother me if they meet as teens and fall for each other really soon. Step siblings raised together and falling later is difficult for me to enjoy the romance.
