The apartment isn't lost, she just doesn't go tf home, that is the problem here. Either way I would have loved to have a small subplot of them going house-hunting together... unless she winds up moving into his current home ofc, and they redecorate it to suit both of them. Which will be kinda awkward with bro Taemin hanging around lol, but maybe the sooner he sees her as Taeho's wife the better. Dunno. Anything is better than the petty roadblocks imposed by their crappy families that continues to expect the leads to put their personal life and future together on hold for their temper tantrums ๐คฎ
I got bored on the last few episodes, but episode 15 picked up the pace a bit
The pace picked up, true, but also the dumbness of plot. This show really lost me with that terrible episode 12 and never recovered imo. Let's see how the last episode goes and how low my final rating lol
This show has turned from a must watch to a drama where I fold my laundry to while it runs as bg noise on 2x speed, bc it's this bad. Absolute brain rot level plot since eps 12 and more makjang than the actual current soapy weekend drama that even has a far more coherent storyline than whatever tf this is.
We are essentially 80% finished and there are three characters who are beyond redemption, IMO: Choi Myung Hee…
I don't get why she doesn't go home in between. I miss Hyoshim's apartment but i guess we won't see this set again. Since it goes straight to their marital home, once both leads are finally allowed by the writer to marry in the last episode. Seems there is a weekender law that prohibits the leads getting married any sooner than that ugh. Which is a shame bc there is much you could do with a "what comes after" settling into married life and living together subplot, and would definitely be way more interesting than gremlin's childish temper tantrums.
A lot of people said this is based on the web novel, not webtoon in case you are watching it. And the drama is…
there is a very annoying character in here that has been omitted from the webtoon. Basically a late-game villain who arrives lipstick-smeared, disarrayed and drunk to the "I am a psychopathic piece of shit" contest the two other villains have been fighting in the whole time. It gets very makjang-y past episode 11-12, so best to turn your brain off while watching, honestly.

of course it is. He is actually guilty and i am gonna flip my imaginary table if they gonna continue saying he did not murder them/is innocent that they died. HE IS NOT. If he hadn't sped toward them FRONTALLY, they would have never had an "accident" but would have arrived safe at home since they were driving exactly as you should on the road, not too fast or anything. JIM BUM IS THE CAUSE OF THEM CRASHING, (even if SH jumped out of the makjang bush after all and wheeled the car down the cliff or lit the gas tank or something)
It's like saying well the DUI driver didn't intent to kill the family in that car, he was just driving too fast and they had just bad luck to be there at that moment. Absolute brainrot logic. It is attempted murder at the very least.

This confuses me honestly because what else than attempted murder can you call that speeding frontal toward his brother's car? Like because even if he chickened out and steered aside before collision he obviously caused the couple to crash down the cliff or at least to crash. This is attempted murder by definition no matter how you twist and turn it and wanna make him look innocent, HE IS NOT. He TRIED to kill them. Not actually killing them but being the reason they crashed is not being innocent ffs. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. Even if the writer wanna make another person "the actual killer" by inane makjang law, he is guilty and should be jailed for a long long time.

Yeom is her father, like the show cannot be more obvious with that tbh. JB is most likely sterile as an alcoholic (TM mentioned he already drunk when he was a child) but does not know that THee isn't his daughter. She has been cuckoo-d right under his nose as his daughter in the same way TM was made to believe he is their son. Difference is with TM, both of these criminal cretins are aware that he isn't their son by birth. Whereas demon pretended THee is JB's daughter while she is veeeeeery likely the result of an affair with her minion Yeom. This explains also why he is so obedient like a dog towards her.
However, if THee were born a boy, the demon would have obviously used "him" for a power grab instead of TM because THee is her actual child and thus it would have been a preferred puppet from her own flesh and blood. Also while keeping up the lie of the child being JB's of course.
" so , who killed my birth father? " ... that's what he asks after a confession?what more silly twists will the…

I think i'm confused with the parents generation, so the dad sleeps with his brother's wife by the instruction…
What? No. No, no please back up ๐ TH's parents had TM first obviously, so both are full brothers, not half. However TM was ripped away from his birth parents right after being born and given to granny's eldest son to raise and mask him as his own son instead of those as of the son of the second son of grandma. No one slept with anyone else, they just cuckoo-d grandpa into believing that his eldest son had gotten an "heir" that will be taking over the company later on (when the alcoholic loser is actually sterile as THee isn't his daughter either) since he was away for a year on a business trip and wouldn't know better. Hence TM was also raised in the belief that his actual aunt and uncle are his real parents when they are not, TH's parents are his birthparents and thus he is a full on sibling with Taeho, and not blood related to Taehee at all.
TLdR:
Myunghee has two sons: Jin Bum (the eldest) Jun Bum (i think i can never remember the name of TH's parents lol) the younger one.
The younger son and his father/TH&TM's grandfather built the company together with Myunghee from the ground up.
Jin Bum didn't produce a child/heir to the conglomerate business despite being married way longer than his younger brother, who got his wife pregnant pretty quickly. That child is Taemin. In order to keep the family hierarchy intact and not have the second son outshine the first, older, useless one, Myunghee took the baby TM away from his parents to give it to her oldest son to raise the kid as their own, deceiving her husband that oldest son has the needed heir now. Taeho was born then years later, but as the second born son he was basically useless and had no claims whatsoever so grandma sent him away to the US as a child dooming him and his brother both to a lonely childhood apart from each other w/o knowing they were not cousins but brothers.
As said before it is some messed up joseon royalty "mUh bloODLiNEs" level shit๐
Taehee is 99% likely the result of an affair of demon with her underling but sold to JB as his child. So he does not know Taehee isn't his daughter. Hence why THee stole a hair from Yeom to make a DNA test after making him drunk to determine if he is her father (and have blackmail material i guess), bc it wouldn't be a family drama without a dna test. Lol.
Eps 25-ish.. So keep at it and your finger on the ffw button, as it will be worth it. I promise. Eps 15-25 are…
Yeah understandable. I watched only the scenes of the leads in those midsection episodes tbh bc everything else was annoying lol. Also watch out for spoilers here as there's a pretty big plot twist later on you best experience for yourself.
Yeah it is definitely a trap, do not fall for it lol. There will be nothing cheerful about that weekender. I will sit that one out and actually look forward to taking a break from longform kdrama for a while even though i will miss LYOL a lot, honestly. Yes, also most of its side-characters by now heh.
The hardest part of LYOL is to get thru is the midsection of eps 15-25 where the story is standing still basically outside of the leads' relationship development. I spedrun thru these frustrating parts and only made halt for the adorable as heck leads' scenes tbh. Eps 25 is where the show massively improves in general and the plot is moving at a good good pace. Just do it like Lunkera did and start there if you don't wanna sit thru toxic ppl festival lmao, My motto back then was "do it for the leads" bc they are so so so so good and by now one of my favorite kdrama pairings ever with how healthy and wholesome their relationship is, How well they communicate (after first hiccups) and support each other all the way through every problem thrown at them. Damn rare to see this in kdramaland, honestly. It's Hyoshim's horrible mother where you need the most resilience or a good ffw finger while the main plot is competently written and paced. This is penned by a family drama veteran writer alright and it's very noticeable. Overall tho this weekender is way up there with Once Again, Five Enough and Homemade Love Story for me in regards of enjoyment (thx to the leads and actors) and such an improvement over TRHC in every single regard it is not even funny. So it is pity not more people give it an honest chance past the slow midsection bits. I regularly made threads of the leads' scenes (vids, comments, screens) per eps (starting at eps 16) on twitter if you are interested:
Other than that i am not watching much atm, finished Knight Flower which was excellent, still watching Dr. Slump but i am behind with so many eps on too many airing dramas and can't be bothered to catch up. Meh. I guess i have hit a bit of a burn out regarding kdrama so i am taking things slow outside of LYOL and my Taehshim (lyol's leads) happy place, tbh. I will never touch a daily again after this trainwreck akin to TRHC here tho (outside of maybe the two highly rated ones) Dunno how you keep watching this tbh ๐คฃ Have a nice remaining weekend too and take care.
