Oh i really appreciate how GOOD the drama is with its narrative build up of small things that become a main issue then but do not linger around for 15 episodes or something. Pacing is excellent in a way that it is fun to keep up with everything at full attention instead to idk do the dishes while watching lol. I actually think some time apart will do them good, actually. TK is still in deep denial and more willing to push her away and thinks it is better this way to end things than to face his feelings that run so DEEP for her. He seems scared to, while battling the wish to be with her for real at the same time. Heart wants what it wants tho, so it will only be a matter of time for both as you said. And yeah i would love to see the mothers team up once more heh.

Yeah it is a correct interpretation of the korean words if you take more liberties. I still translate things quite literally (hence mine was "I have a person i like) as it helps me to sort things in bettet. But someone with an (very) advanced level and excellent grasp on vast vocab would translate things more freely of course. Oh wow, thank you. I did not think it was my best ever summary, but it is always like 3k of words as there is happening so much atm. Hence the warm words are very much appreciated. It was not even that much SJAF, mainly because she is failing so much in everything she does and i could not laugh more about how pathetic she is while thinking she is the best ever, at that. And YD deliciously took her down several pegs. The way she threw her out was... *chefkiss* So yeah she is bearable bc she is not free to do w/e the fuck she wants like in episode 15 or something. There is opposition and strong one at that.

I think my favorite bit of the episode was TK defending YD in such an emotional way we have never seen him before... and he hasn't either. Because then later he was asking himself why he reacted this way. And we know why words against her cut so much deeper now that he can't stand still, of course but it was interesting to see his journey of realization this episode heh. Also YD defended him not once, but twice, first against asshole bro than joseon granny. It is clear for me by now that she has feelings for him too but does not think it would ever matter, so she keeps them under wraps and (maybe is as aware of it like TK is, aka not at all lol) Especially after his insistence he would never like her this way/she should not mistake his kindness for love like a defiant boy/teenager who finds the very thought of love icky. He really did himself no favors here and yet is crestfallen when she calls him a friend and wishes for him to find someone nice (not being Jang Sejin)

So yeah separation it is inbound as i told you many weeks before in a comment, this is the arc the writer chose for them after all. To separate in order to realize what they mean to each other and how empty their old life is w/o the other in it. I am not sure for how long the split will be, but i hope 3 weeks at maximum. I think this way is the one that suits their characters better after all. YD is still ailing from her ex cheating with a "prettier woman" hence her confidence in herself regarding men and love in general is abysmal, to the least. Plus there is always Jinjja to consider, of course. Hence why she keeps to herself, even if she has feelings, TK would never look at her in this way. He likes far prettier women, right? And TK is super defensive bc he is overwhelmed by all these emotions THAT SHOULD NOT BE THERE in the first place. Hence his insistence of it not being LIKE THAT any chance given toward YD and even if they were, she only likes him as a friend so it is better this way. Or so he tells himself. Okay the motto of today's episode is definitely NOT TODAY SATAN with both joseon granny and failwitch taken down a few inches in height from all directions. We LOVE TO SEE IT. The strife only strengthens the bond between the leads as they are defending each other here <3 and find unlikely allies along the way. Very satisfying but of course now it is time for aaaaaangst to kick down the door, as YD/TK are both idiots in love to a frustrating amount. But we will get there friends, don't worry. As always this summary is flawed af due to my toddler level of korean and context will be supplemented later on when subs are out. BUCKLE UP PEOPLE, it is quite the ride.

Wow our man sobered up FAST here at her question, hahahaa. He definitely goes into full full denial which is the worst approach given Yeondoo’s low low self-esteem in terms of love matters, but yeeeeeeah Taekyung hasn’t really processed it yet himself, so I get why he is reacting super defensive here. Next morning, Yeondoo is embarrassed to have ever thought TK could ever like her as a woman as she prepares some honey tea for not hubby. Hahahaha, how ridicolous right? IMPOSSIBLE, hahaha. (oh my sweet summer child lol) TK is embarrassed by his candid words after waking up, to the point where he throws a toddler temper tantrum kicking feet in his pjs about it and IMMEDIATELY goes back to sleeping beauty when YD enters to not having to face her. This man, omg. I love this doofus. “Here drink some honey tea. Get up. I know you are awake I heard you outside.” YD tells him in a tone like only a wife not tolerating her husband’s nonsense would. He reacts defiant, continuing his toddler role “what are you upset I didn’t say I like you?” and gets the most wife-like lecture from YD yet who tells him “should you not apologize to me? you get home drunk and I helped you change clothes/get rid of your shoes/socks, and cleaned your face and hands. I am really like your wife here, am I not?” He is getting smaller and smaller and ends up just thanking her for the hangover tea “as her husband” and drinks it, lmao. I love love them bickering because it is all in good sport and lacks the prior bite of early episodes.

Outside the room, TK gets an earful from his mother as well who is super-worried they are breaking up, but both are trying to calm her worries… rather with doubtful success. “You should not be drinking this much as a father to be with a wife at home etc” YD takes the blame as TK apologizes, which takes him aback. At breakfast, Tattlecow asks YD if she is okay, since the woman who he was drinking with him was the one he nearly married.” Surely without any ulterior motive or schadenfreude I am sure. “A bit odd, but it just happened this way.” Joseon granny does a whole monologue about how their marriage had been a mistake in the first place and never meant to last, and she liked goblin golddigger better anyhow, and they should just call it quits and get separated, blah. And then YY defends YD but it is not needed bc YD is granny’s match as much as her mother is to granny. Must be a family trait, because she turns it all on her “Yeah, honestly, I already thought about it. Maybe it was a mistake and we should just get a divorce. How about it, halmoni?” she pauses before adding, Hahaha, just joking” and continues to eat xD

Creeper snake slithered back into the gong house and slimes about “apologies for last night and how she has to apologize to YD in particular but everyone except granny is NOT TODAY SATAN and turns the atmosphere into minus 30 degrees celsius. I love the way In Ok openly hates her now, it is so visible in every fiber of her being whenever lying lyra opens her mouth lmao. TK’s mom always had the most sense of them all, good the trend continues. YY is also fully on yeondoo’s side, giving her some dirty looks as she slithers her way into granny’s lair like voldemort She does not give joseon granny an update about being a phone-stealing clown and gran tells her to apologize to YD, so she creeps up after her. Does the whole honeyed apology bs spiel and they are outkorean each other in (fake) politeness and etiquette words (like it is a textbook convo you learn very early on when learning korean, bc that apology/all is well, you don’t need to, I thank you etc happens so often culturally lol) but something with YD has changed, she is not baying the shit Cruella is selling. She is asking about her phone if she saw it outside here and toddler tier schemer denies, so YD retracts and says it is nothing which leaves stupid sue in the belief she fully tricked her with that smirk, when it is actually the other way around hahaha, since YD now has the confirmation needed.

Oh gosh these two. Bong nim knows now that Jang ho knows about granny and tells him to go home. You are sick you should rest better and he reacts defensive, so she is leaving. I do wonder when tf this no longer father will finally fess up about his spawn from hell. Back in the gong lair, there is talk about the company and TK which I really don’t understand all that well, but Joseon granny tries to have the final word and it falls flat bc now CS stands up for his son and does not just accept things as they are. And TK arrives with YD in tow and joseon granny pisses him off in attacking Yeondoo. Big mistake as he shifts into rage-mode and YELLS at her in a way I haven’t seen him before. When you almost ruined everything, she took me in.” I could say more here, but lets just say it is a nice preview to what will happen if fuckboi JH or failwitch try anything into YD’s direction. Before that In Ok and yeondoo have a heart to heart and she thankful that TK has her which only worsens the mounting guilt inside of YD. And here he is, back where he started alone in his old hotel room, and yet everything is different now. Too quiet, on their own, not five minutes being there he is already missing yeondoo. YD is thinking about him too and the way he defended her from granny’s badmouthing. Apart but together in thought or however that goes, heh. I think the important fact here is they are missing EACH OTHER, it is not just one-sided. But yeah, idiots in love that are deep in denial. Things are getting REAL. (pun intended) i am still amazed in how FAST the story moves in this drama, like so much happened today, it seems.

well that makes two of us, since i did not get to watch the episode either due to none of the livestreams working. I currently wait for kisskh to upload the raw for my summary. Also nothing wrong with enjoying some outdoor/fam time hehe.
