Lol, yeah but MMH is leaned on the webnovel not the webcomic, but it is true most of these stories are pretty immature for a lack of a better word heh. It does make me appreciate a couple like HS & TH here all the more who started out withholding issues to "not bother the other" but have now clearly progressed to a better and deeper relationship where they freely voice their concern and wishes and then *gasp* find a solution together. Instead, you know, break up, or run away in a fit of noble idiocy ("because it is better this way") like it happens in too many kdramas tbh, uuuurgh.

I know the question was aimed at me (since i got the notification and all) but thank you for answering this in so much detail and so well here. The only reasonable way to find dailies are indeed the extended search and cranking up the min-max episode amount :)

It is due to the cancelations last October during the Asia Games where one episode at most aired per week. Hence we were left with an uneven number now on Sundays. It is rumored that the show gets extended for one bonus episode to even things out, aka that the change from old weekender to new one (which i will skip hell naw) is seamless. We will see 😉

Yes i really adore this family drama, all things considered. It is competently written and well structured. I think the biggest flaw it has is its very slooooow first half (after the starting 15 eps or so), but ever since eps 25 the writing and pacing has been great and the plot is moving well. Of course you have your usual tropes of a weekender with annoying/toxic characters that require your patience or ffw button, screechy, frustrating parts, the chaebol power struggle, a delulu sml who accepts not a rejection for way too long, and less engaging subplots. But the main couple is, imo, one of the best i have seen in a weekender ever, with the way their relationship develops from bickering dislike to being e/o support system, loving and trusting each other. Uee and Hajun are so cute and natural with each other onscreen too. They have an effortless chemistry with lots and lots of (warm) hugs included and no break up nonsense once they are truly together and committed. I can't tell you how and how well the antagonists are gonna be punished since there are still 10 eps to go, but the narrative makes it already clear that they will be not getting away with it. Which is what we all wanna see and i am happy the writer is aware of that.

Oh i see, well it was just a shot in the blue anyhow to grasp what goes on in that little head of either writer nim or grandma back then, or both 😂 Just hope we get a good enough explanation why it all happened, is all.

As for the rest hmm, we will see, because they made such a point of TM being talented in arts just like his "aunt" and how she adored him for it, so i am not so certain about that tbh. It's part why the plot twist works so well imo, bc that was part of the reasoning why he is talented in it as it is baked well into the narrative.

After watching Marry My Husband today, I get now why i am so drawn to the lead couple here and how they are written. They act like grown ass adults in a relationship, full stop. They support/help and give each other reassurance when needed, they communicate well about their thoughts and feelings and fears regarding their relationship. And best of all there is no psycho delulu second female lead proclaiming ML as her property like in way too many kdramas, be it regular or weekenders (Well SFL did that TM but who th cares since HS was never interested in him to begin with) They face any crisis together (and sometimes on their own bc they must; HS with quitting her gym job and choosing TH here. Which turned out being the best option for her, in being a PT on her own now with enough time to study. And TH facing prison for setting his plan in motion and putting his shitty fam on medial blast) instead to run away in a fit of noble idiocy. In fact, the whole prison incident just had strengthened their bond and resolve to stay and be together. I even think that HS only became really aware of the depth of her feelings for TH after she faced the possibility of losing him for a long time due to looming imprisonment/criminal charges. It's also what made her discard her prior shyness and finally freely express her affection and love for him in hugging him at every turn, to tell him to not leave her alone again this way. She really was afraid to lose him and i am glad the writer nim made it clear to the viewers.

Like, an undervalued part this weekend in all the plot twist craze was how well they showed and voiced their fears, concerns and wishes for their future together and talked about it, like, gosh adults should do in a relationship? Which sadly is all too rare in dramas nowadays still. And the writer nim possesses such a good awareness of the viewers in regards of their relationship too. Because as all went to shitters on both of their fam's sides (and still is) I caught myself thinking... god are the both aware what they gonna have to put up with in the future? Are they willing to do so or will they give up? And guess what not only a few minutes later you see HS and TM sitting down and talk about how exhausting and toxic both of their fams are and how they have to deal with it, once married. How worried HS is about the gremlin getting to know about TH's rich rich riiiich chaebol bg, with her suggesting that maybe they should just date instead maybe but TH managing to lighten that fear with humor while reassuring her. Both act mature and realistic with their expectations and wish of having their own family together after what they lived through with their respective own toxic fams. Aka they know it will be hard at times but ultimately worth it. Also HS being aware what it means for her to be his wife with him being a conglomerate heir/son. Not a cinderella story at all, if anything this couple is the anti-trope of that, and very down to earth and realistic with how it is handled in the narrative.

I also loved so much how she addressed her fear of being left behind with their children later on if such a bad situation like being arrested and imprisoned should repeat in the saturday episode. This shows writer nim has a good good grasp on her characters and their motivations, especially the leads, because it ties into her backstory with her father leaving them on her/their own and of course she would not want the same to happen to her children later on. Good good shit. And it is so good to see as well that the writer made her voice that concern instead to stomach and play it off as though everything is fine. This is how you make a relationship work and believable in a story, ngl. (And when TH talked about how he wanted a bustling household with two girls and two boys, you saw how she was way less opposed to that idea with her smile at the end than she was in the furniture store way back, which was cute and shows the development of their relationship since 🥰 )

They have such an innate understanding of each other BECAUSE and not in spite of their shitty families as they both lived the crushing loneliness and not being appreciated , if each in their own different ways. (been noticing that from the scene of their phonecall we had in eps 7 actually how both struggle with loneliness, having no one on their side) A very poignant scene here was where TH called HS when he was exhausted and sad and expressed his wish for creating his own family to her once more because he wants a family that comforts instead of just stresses, disappoints and betrays him and when HS said "I know exactly what you mean with this" I teared up a little at that.

Because it made it so clear how well they understand each other. These are two people who have the same lived experience if in disparate social circles yet so alike, speaking the same language. Sure, TH grew up comfortably without worries about money ever and such and he possessed a freedom HS never had before breaking free from her fam, but he was also estranged from his family, left alone in another country and feeling lonely. No one really cared about him or what he did, he had not much of a support system especially after his parents death and grandmas imprisonment... err disappearance. He likes HS' fam and does not mind the chaos because he had never experienced such bustling family life on his own, and thus envies her for it in a way. It explains why he wants a family of his own and a big one at that. Again writer nim shows a good good grasp for her characters here, it all makes sense with how and why he (re)acts, his motivations and goals/wishes are in line with his background established.

I am such a sucker for the trope/couple of two people in a story finding each other at the most unlikely time and ways and support each other at their lowest point while becoming each other's family and source of strength/support and happiness. if done well and here it is. It definitely is, and in a healthy, mature manner, at that 🥰🥹

Not saying it was trust issues, it is stupidity issues, in truth 😂 For me it is her whole (lack of) reasoning behind it that boils my blood. He can't break up with her when it is one-sided (and she didn't agree?) Yes, yes he can. He is a person with his own agency (one he finally uses instead of not caring and going thru the motions) not someone's property ffs. Hence he is free to decide who he wants to be with and the unwillingness to face reality is really the delulu bish's problem. It is really that easy but the show wanna gaslight us into thinking it is not. Especially since there were never any feelings involved but ironically FL being a dumbass decides on her own to only consider those of delulu psycho instead of handling it like an adult and talk it thru with ML and this whole "I did it for youuuuu w/o ever telling you so" is just the version of noble idiocy i detest moooooost argh. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE 💀 😂

And omg, the endiiiiiiiiing didn't make anything better, quite the opposite. It is rather the writers are proclaiming... look at these clowns, the circus is in town and here to stay (according to the preview.) I guess i wait out the rest 4 episodes to speedrun the rest, bc the story crashed and burned haaaard with eps 12 unfortunately.

the drama is adapting the webnovel not the webtoon tho and afaik yura is a part of it there, but i dunno how big/extensive her role there is.

this whole "I can't be with you because you broke up with your arranged fiance you never loved to be with me weeks before we got together" is so fucking stupid i cannot even begin to articulate it in words other than keysmash in frustration how much the plot has nosedived today. This episode with its contrived break up for forced saaaaaads™ and aaaaangst™ and delulu bish ex was peak stupidity and thus the first of the drama i watched in ffw mode. Can we.... stop this trite nonsense already pls? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. Uuuugh.

Daddy deadbeat disappeared 25 yrs ago while TH's parents died fairly recently in 2018/19 (timeline is a bit off here) plus he was a teacher having nothing to do with taesan so naaahhh. Would be a very cheap trhc-esque plot twist too.
