This is how you write plot twists, because this plot twist is baked into the story all along with little things sprinkled into the story now making sense. Like TM's talent for art (and his "aunt" adoring him for it), the naming scheme (taemin, teaho), why he was trained for business instead of TH and also is needed to shatter the dude's complete tunnel vision and course correct to actually work together with his BROTHER now. Since TM puts all emphasis on immediate blood relation instead to give a damn about cousins, he should now, eeeeeh??? 🙃

TM is the epitome of a person who writes a strongly worded letter containing his expression of disappointment, which he delivers with a slap on one wrist. Because, you know, slaps on two wrists would be overdoing the punishment. By now i am convinced he is so adamant to cover up their criminal acts also because it also protects the status quo achieved, his cushy position and privilege he likes to laments so much about. Because if they fall, his image would be shattered too, but he hides behind being an oh so dutiful son, when intending to deal with it quietly just means to brush everything under the rug again and don't hold his parents accountable for anything, ever And ppl blame TH for shaking things up or not backing down as requested by TM in this very personal matter for him, because if TH would do so... nothing would change in the company and nobody be hold accountable except for that "pls don't do this again" wet tissue appeal toward his mother dearest. Bc as said before TM is a passive af bystander and by now accomplice as he is fully in the know what that demon has done. And yet all he did was stripping her of her titles. Ooooooooh wooooow don't be so harsh on mommy u beige, ineffectual clown. You may hurt her fee fees otherwise and she won't love you anymore :(((((

I am not sure if the chairman is really guilty it still feels like he's being set up by the demon and her underling but we will see how the turns are twisting going forward. The leads continue to be lovely. Uee & Hajun are really the cutest/sweetest lead couple in a weekender since a long time (imo) It's just sm fun watching them interact onscreen and their characters growing closer together, while also including cheeky/fun scenes like the "sneaky eyelash kiss" today. I love how the writers focus on showing HS' feelings for TH so openly lately, with her hugging him at every chance, saying what she likes about him (and the reason why is another one why she never saw TM as a potential partner... dude is way more how her mother imagines an ideal guy and so NOT Hyoshim's. She likes to have fun with her partner while also being empathic) and their open communication (by now) about the fears she has (being left behind by him) with THEIR KIDS (she is thinking ahead haha) due to another chaebol nonsense) and concerns she has about their marriage. I am glad that HS is realistic about what it means to be the wife of a chaebol (she got a small taste of it with everyone around her trying to curry favors from her/her bf), and her bracing for it. She has got a good head on her shoulders so i don't doubt she will manage to set much needed boundaries to incoming leeches, especially by now.

And as TH said, he is Cinderella, not HS as he is so fortunate to have her in his life that was all miserable before her :D Will have HS a comfortable life when she marries TH? If by comfortable you mean her not having to worry from paycheck to paycheck then definitely yes. And TH will surely pamper her from time to time, if she lets him. But it does not mean her giving up all her life/aspirations to play princess pea at home just because her hubby is rich. She is gonna keep busy and pursue her goals be that familial (kids) or career ones. I feel a lot of people misunderstand their dynamic, because a typical chaebol/poor woman one it ain't, at all. TH ensures he respects the way she has lived and not be the rich bastard toward her that throws money at every of her problems or "buys her affection" with nice things. THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT of their dynamic and why it works. His understanding and respect of her and who she is. Which today also showed in him cooking pasta for her, since these are one of the many small and bigger things she missed out on while saving up her money. He remembered it <3

Tangent aside, they are a done deal however, no breakup or other nonsense will part them now. The question is only WHEN they will marry bc there is always something else keeping them from making that step thus far and not before the main plot is fully resolved anyway.

I can see that TH maybe in favor of HS will be less forward with his pursuit for the truth, but i don't see him giving it up. Not because he wants revenge as he is accused of but because the death of his parents is still a heavy wound in his heart that needs closure, and he has a strong moral compass that despises corruption and mistreatment of others/injustice. So he wants to see them be held accountable instead of them escaping their crimes again and again and continue to fill their pockets by illicit means, and trample down on and use others beneath/weaker than them. His vision for the company is a good one, but if it is a realistic one with so much rotten underbelly hidden beneath its surface, well, i dunno. Maybe too idealistic. But still commendable and much more in line with the just and fair that granny expect of TM (who already faltered at that like the wet tissue he is) It definitely needs a reform when a wife, not even a fam member by birth, has this much power over everything and uses it for personal enrichment and as her vanity playing field. That haughtiness is also what made/makes this demon underestimate TH bc of his jokster personality he is harmless/not to be taken seriously as an opponent, right? Heh, sure Karen 😂 Like her, many ppl overlook how perceptive and good in reading people he is. He may be smug and reckless at times yes, but he can also back that up with smartness when it matters. So i can't wait to see her in prison jumpsuit with TH waving and smiling at the other side 🤣

Mirim being preggers is the leads' current roadblock to marriage outside of the full on chaebol war of course. But it was to be expected once it was clear Mirim spent the night together with that waste of space. No one night stands in fam dramas w/o baby consequence ofc. Well with another ancestral rite for daddy deadbeat incoming (read family crisis meeting) i hope the dude can straight out now and pass the exam which seems to be postponed to summer by the looks of it, lmao. Taemin might not have done bad things himself but standing with and choosing to protect bad people makes you their ally. He is not evil but he's passive and obtuse af. I think the best analogy to TM is that one person in a group of bullies that does not partake in the bullying and just stands at the sideline to watch. Someone who's glad its not them they bully and would rat out any of the victims to save their own hide. Or maybe the school bully is their friend. And later on they claim innocence and/or being just as much of a victim. Aka a typical coward and hypocrite. Sure he may not have beaten up or bullied anyone, but he's just as guilty for doing nothing as he's tacitly allowing all these things to happen & is even ready to lie/actively lying for the bullies, either to protect himself/his status or friends doing the bullying. TM is all that, just replace the school bullies analogy with his parents, and voila.

Imo, ppl like him are more nefarious than outright villains who own not being good ppl and being evil/greedy etc, while dude just goes with the motions, or worse, is a silent perpetrator along them with covering up others crimes. And yet he sees himself as faultless and completely justified in doing so bc "he only protected his parents,. like a good son would"

I think after ji won gets to know she is his sister it's just tacitly accepted by the story that every party involved knows of it too. Aka they didn't include a big reveal scene for HY but just went on with the story/plot 😊
