Yeah too early This man is head over heels for her, ride or die no turning back, obviously, but he needs some time to process it in honesty. Like he went from zero to husband forever in one night, so maybe it not be the worst idea to pause a moment and sort himself out and to think about where to go from there. Unless he plans to just continue his husband of the year arc without taking any steps or brakes in between, if this is how he rolls (now) 😏 😂

It is a cultural thing afaik. SK 8s big on titles so nicknaming your S. O. is kinda like a rite of passage to show that their status and meaning has changed for you to something much closer. In TKs case he is also upset bc the form of name used by her is pretty formal and impersonal. Bit of jealousy too, since other guys/people should see when her husband is calling after all instead of mistaking him for a distant doctor dude like the TA did. Heh.

Well tbh, he has no room at all for a thought about SJ to begin with, because it is all filled up with yeondoo. 😂 Ngl I have rarely seen a ML changing into complete "head empty only FL" mode this fast. I feel an under appreciated scene here is the one at the start with yoga gal hitting on him and he is still so off into lalalaland about YD's touch and reeling with the onslaught of his feelings for her that his brain has no capacity to comprehend why this woman not being YD is talking to him and want his number? What? Why? taekyung.exe has stopped working. Not to mention his immediate disappointment that on the end of that water bottle handed to him wasn't YD but a random woman 😂

And when he does he is quick to tell her he is married and father to be, and that not because he has to keep up a role as he claims toward YD, nope. Because otherwise he would not be this pissy about YD running out on him and of course the fact that he was upset not about that woman leaving, but that she did not believe him to be married and thus making up a lie to shoot her down. "I did not lie!" he called after her, confused and upset about his (now real, in his mind) wife abandoning him there with a stranger danger woman. And I'm still cackling about it all, ngl. 😂🤣😂

But sure he was pissy then at YD bc 'of the role he has to play convincingly and she "ruined that"' and totally not at all because she was so nonchalant about another woman hitting on him. 😏 Priorities, this man has them and they are all about yeondoo. No exceptions. 🤣

Oh my god, i cackled so much about this, because it took him literally one night to turn on full husband mode and he has never looked back since. Which is it is especially ironic in his case, tbh 🤣

TK, now, two months later: So I bought my wife a carrot cake, even when i hate carrots, but she is not even picking up her phone when i call? And the assistant she works with is a guy? She spent the whole day with HIM instead of with me. Would you not be angry too?
Also TK: No, this is not a couple ring, it is a wedding band. I'm married and a father too.

Tbh, if you look at their interactions in detail, he isn't really that nice to her even. Just polite enough but always firm. Sometimes the boundaries he slams her with are subtle (want a cake too, you can eat it with your mom at home (and away from me) but often more clear (here an umbrella, take yourself home. bye gotta go wifey is waiting)

Oh and another reason why i am not worried about Cruella is i have found that the subs do contextualize a lot of the scenes of their interactions together. Which are kinda polite on TK's side but always curt and full of boundaries. Lemme give you some examples from today's episode:

Nurse: Mrs. Jang is waiting in your office, Dr. Gong.
TK: *stops drinking his coffee to sigh out an Aiiish under his breath* 😂

SJ: Here look what i brought back :)))
TK: "You came all the way here just for the umbrella?" 😒
TK: *proceeds to check his phone, ignoring her*

SJ: Thank you for helping me yesterday, Taekyung.
TK:"Yesterday? Eh. I just bought you some ramen nothing more."

SJ "Sooo, do you want to eat dinner with me?"
TK"I pass on dinner. But do you know some good carrot cake bakeries?" (for YD)

SJ: Why carrot cake you hate carrots. Is it for Ms. Lee?
TK: No, for Yeondoo. She always wants food (goes on "complaining" about her food cravings but we all know *why* he is here 😆)
TK: I can buy you one too, which you can eat (at home) with your mom. (😂)

SJ: *suggestive* "Yeondoo could misunderstand so don't tell her you picked the cake with me,"
TK: "She would not misunderstand something like that."
TK: *leaves*

So basically even drunk he does not entertain her bullshit😂 It is all one-sided and bc she jeeps hounding him, but he generally likes to have her around like a wart on his ass😂

And he does not even stop to sit down there with Cruella. Oh no it is a takeout he has to bring to YD asap in taking a taxi and leaving her standing there, haha.

Also, the one name he uttered when drunk af was "Yeondoo" because of course it was. So, um, needless to say i am not worried about phony pony ever succeeding with whatever seducing bs she is trying to pull on him because this man is such a goner for Yeondoo, hahaha. But agree it is high time SJ anti fan Teakyung makes a comeback.

eh, lets wait and see what that is about. Preview is always piecemeal after all. Just love these two sentences because YD needs to see/hear what she means to him. I absolutely no idea what will happen next week beyond TK clearly being a goner for YD, no matter how much of a sasaeng that kleptomaniac clown will turn into. I expect the usual misunderstandings but given the prior neckbreaking pace of the drama they won't last for long between them.

Heh it is always the love sneaking up on you that is lasting. Here, TK certainly did not search for love, never imagined it to happen to him. Least of all with that hyper, petite woman who is so different to all the women he met/liked before.

Hence, love ambushed him instead, haha. Like full on bat over the back of his head, drag away to be thrown into a pit ambush. And now he is a goner, never to return. Neither to his old life of being on his own nor NOT being a husband, which yeah is amusing me the most honestly. Especially how fast it all happened now.

Damn was he upset/emotional there, tho. Never had him seen taken such a stand against Joseon Granny, at least not since the first episodes. But did he mean yeondoo here? I got it for the most part in the raw version (Do not be mean to this person!) but korean is always so nebulous when it comes to pronouns/who is meant, since it is all just implied in the context and argh xD (here it is "이사람" aka "This person")

Yeah i wish that they would have given her at least one friend, like a former college buddy or something. But the reasoning was that she gave up everything to become the no. 1 lecturer, so yeah. I dunno. . Also family dramas rarely show non-family members interacting with the (main) characters, unless they are co-workers, but then they are just there for the most part. All stories and plots resolve around the families in the limelight. So maybe YD becomes friends with sourgrapes (JM), they seem to have bonded over complaining about their husbands today, lol.

TK had a quite shitty time with his step-brothers beating him and the adults (minus his parents) being generally abusive in his formative years. So i get why he kept to himself, not trusting people before YD came into his life and her fam showed him never known acceptance.

Honestly i love the sentiment of "he fell first but she fell harder". But for Yeondoo to actually fall harder in love than Taekyung did with her, she needs to move and collide with the speed of light, i am afraid🤣 Because this man became WHIPPED in record time 😂

Oh I definitely see this and after consideration i actually would take this one step further and say that it is vastly an inadequacy issue with her. She does not want to be a bother or rely on him so much, even apologized for letting him see this side of her when she cried. She thinks she is stealing away the life he had and making it a lot harder for him, way more than she should, especially with a baby on the way. Probably why she is quick to brush away his offer of help and emphasize how he can go back to his old bachelor life instead, without her... being a burden. (and yet is secretly happy about him offering to help/be friends but would never admit it)

It also shows in her insecurities toward all things obsessive olive when she is creeping around Taekyung like a stalking sasaeng, because she is so pretty and more the type he (used to) like and he actually did like her back as a kid in HS. Also he nearly married her, not to forget, however forced that was. So she would actually a better fit for him, as would the yoga gal that came on to him. They are all she is not, glamorous and curvy and tall, just as he likes his women and is and has been his type he dated, right? RIGHT? Hence she never ever took even in consideration that he could look at her as a woman, least at all for him to fall for her as hard as this man now did. Hence her saying he deserves someone great to love him, she means everyone but herself, since she seemed to have zoomed in on the negatives and all that she lacks instead of what she gave to him and how she already has changed his life for the better. This also explains why her question "Do you like me?" was so mired in disbelief, because it was never an option or something that could happen, not to her.

I don't understand the obsession with making them siblings???? Like, why???? This is kdrama not alabama, as i use to say 😂

Too much phony pony indeed. We gotta weather those bits for now, i am afraid. At least till JH returns and she has a host of own problems to deal with. Or you know when her no longer father finally grows a pair and fesses up. Sigh.

I think YD's fear of being exposed is part of it, so she thinks taking the high way out and also not being dependent on another person, aka TK is the way to go forward. She seems really cold and idk calculating is too harsh a word but definitely methodically doing everything so she can leave him behind quickly atm. Which is odd regarding her breakdown just a few eps earlier and her fear to be alone with all of it. But then again, fear is never rational and i think she is panicking right now on the other side of the spectrum to where Taekyung is right now. Taekyung wants to secure what they have now and be with her for real. Hence his complete emphasis on being her HUSBAND and dad to Jinjja today and all the small things of inconsideration YD did in this regard sending him off (and into drinking) Yeondoo however wants to secure a life on her own and does not consider him part of it even, which in turn of course hurt him.

I also did not understand a lot of her text messages toward TK in general and have to add context to this summary later with subs, hence my vagueness here.
