The tag “starting over” is making me not want to watch this when it’s fully out, from the clips I’ve seen…
I submitted this tag :D Starting Over is meant in regards of her job, not relationship. Because she goes back into the workforce and field after 20 yrs of staying home mom. So her situation is the parade example of starting over, especially when (eventually) divorcing her trash husband and living on her own (swoony devoted professor bf optional) It is even in the tag description:
The story is about a main character who leaves behind their old life and starts anew.
Hence, your interpretation of the tag here is what is wrong, really ;)
Just fyi, Korea doesn’t have a “no fault” divorce. As I understand it, if you don’t have the consent of…
Yep, learned that in Strangers Again (at least one good thing about this drama lol) Cheating is ground for divorce even if not agreed on by other party but ofc needs evidence. (Should not be that hard in this case tho)
So did they change his bed or are they in the main house? I couldn’t tell.
Hahaha, yeah. I just imagined him lying there like in the last picture of the "my brain at 3am meme" while Yeondoo is sleeping all the way through and next morning wonders what his problem is because the bed is sooooo comfy, after all 😂
Fingers crossed that the leads finally stop their CIA level secrecy bullshit and instead talk to each other at long last. This is what has been bothering me most in this drama thus far with how they have been artificially stalling any story and character progression for four full episodes now, just because they already don't know how to fill 16 episodes, or something. Make it make sense.
I kinda have hope that they will be able to lie their way out of it. They’ve been playing us a lot with the…
I do think that too. Way too easy and early for it to revealed. Plus, while removed from/nothing to do with the extended gong fam (well so far anyhow lol) I doubt uncle could keep mum toward his sister/her mother. Hence why I think they gonna bullshit their way out of it. But who knows lol because the show loves to be unpredictable in its predictability 😅😂
So did they change his bed or are they in the main house? I couldn’t tell.
Yeeees. Would also be weird if TK keeps sleeping in this damn chair. Looks super uncomfortable too (did not understand why he didn't smuggle in a bedding to sleep on the floor instead.) so um, it is all for his, um, advantage of sleeping better. Or it backfires in him being wide awake because he is hyper-aware of a certain someone next to him/in the room. Heh. Either way:
So did they change his bed or are they in the main house? I couldn’t tell.
Hahaha, i would love that and would make sense, actually. I can see them giving it as reason as they bullshit their way through why they sleep separately. (tbh, i think this would happen sooner or later anyway, as YD continues to catch feels)
And joseon granny has to agree to it/keep feet still, bc Bong Nim told her to be nice to both or else 😂
Had to come to the comments before watching. Needed to know which mood I’m going to have
buckle up friendo, as there is a lot that will be thrown at you and (almost) none of it has to do with delulu clown. Lots of progress and new plot seeds today.
I feel the even episodes bring us much more content and development than the uneven ones. First episode 14 and…
I honestly go back and forth on thinking whether he has feelings for her already or not, because this guy is as hot and cold as in the famous katy perry song (especially the refrain haha.)
On the one hand you have him fussing over her safety and well-being, a lot of that unprompted/not needed to keep up appearance toward others. Hell even Cruella told Joseon granny that his concern for YD at the ER was genuine. He is also comfortable and more himself when they hang out without (family) eyes watching/pressure to perform so to speak, just the two of them. Genuinely enjoys his time with her family too and goes out of his way to help them when needed.
But then on the other there are phases where he is very distant and treats her like a stranger and is only doing his thing like in episode 15 for example. So i dunno, lol. Even if he has unprocessed feelings for her and suppresses them because it goes against everything he believed in (aka marriage is icky, but she is his "wife" and that with a kid on the way. To be tied down like that... naaaah, that is not him, right. RIGHT? 😏) i would not call it love LOVE yet.
There is care, concern for her safety/wellbeing, some awkwardness (oh my god him needed to sit down when being told to sleep together in a bed(ding. Taekyung.exe stopped working 😂) lingering looks/smiling (eps 14) with her, but it seems he always counteracts all these glimmers of affection then with distance and indifference toward her. Perhaps when the former gets too much and he self-regulates to not get too close, idk. But also the writer makes him more inconsistent than need to be, lmao.
🎶"Someone call the doctor Got a case of a love bipolar" 🎶🤭
Either way it is clear that the playground scene at night with her crying and confessing how much she is relying on him already is the turning point in their relationship to something more/love eventually. Because he is opening up to her now without pulling the rug from under her soon after, in offering friendship and with it the sincere wish to get to know her better. Love then, is not too far a step from it anymore, particularly due to the foundation already being laid a(and Yeondoo seeing him in a new light, not to forget)
That feeling when you watched a crappy episode 15 and are waiting for the subbed 16 to make things right......PS…
Tbf, the writer do gives us a filler-esque episode on saturday to breathe before throwing everything at us in the sunday episode, Rinse and repeat, lmao
Rewatching and not taekyung brushing over the laid out bedding in the room and then having to back away from it/sit down first, because he cannot process the thought of sleeping there together with Yeondoo 😂 (nice non-verbal acting bit here from AJH by the way)
Silly you, this would have been ideal practice for the next week when THERE IS JUST ONE BED thanks to your family's meddling 🤭😏😂
Yes, and the best thing about it is that, if i understood it correctly, callous clown asked him to join her for dinner the next day. But YD saw that text and with one eye still at his phone *also* asked him to join her for dinner the next day with her fam. (She was very keen on selling it to him too, aka "You can eat comfortably and a lot at our house, don't worry") Cue her smiling so brightly when he agreed, because she chose her over phony pierrot 🥰 (as he should, lbr)

I am still updating my recap because we indeed had a lot happening unlike yesterday, lol. Much we ranted about is addressed today if even only a little/starting point, lol.
