The leads do need start to communicate better and work as a team instead of each bullshitting their way thru it on their own. Like yesterday.

Rewatching... and YD seems to side-eye/looks dubiously at Cruella at times, so i keep my hope alive the writer allows her some doubt and brainpower instead to turn her into full on puppet for the plot.

She indeed said that he has Couvade Syndrome and turned the table on Joseon Granny like a boss. Not even stopping to throw TK under the proverbial bus (as he was very embarrassed about it) to assert her subtle, kill with kindness dominance over the gong fam. I love her in these situations as it shows she is smart and quick on her feet. Which makes her being so trusting toward Cruella and lack of communication with TK (further planning/approach, and about Cruella in general to be on the same page, you know, as a team) all the more jarring in comparison. But writer said PUPPET DANCE, so she has to, i guess, sigh

Oh yeah. No wonder YD is fairing so well with granny, as she has that not backing down from seniority attitude from her mother indeed hahaha.

Because the writer said PUPPET DANCE, and TK has to follow suit in the most braindead fashion (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

I am so bummed it was all a ruse and just indigestion tho. I feel betrayed even if i should have known better that previews are lying liars and their romance is... delivered in crumbs at best. Sigh. I know it is 50 episodes, but when compared to Five Enough where there is a steady build up from nothing to marriage and early on attraction in the same amount of episodes between the leads, TRHC is giving me nada in comparison and i am saaaaad.

My precious babies, Go Seulhae (Jin Ki Joo) and Cha Chawoong (Park Haejin) from "From Now On Showtime" One of my all time fave shows and pairings. There is a dire lack of gifs of this kdrama as it is missing appreciation, so i had to take a promo pic of them instead. Highly recommend the drama if you have not seen it yet tho, heh.

Delulu Clown is bullshitting her way through the whole hospital scene. YD’s memories are fuzzy and her focus on her child she is/was afraid for, so she is eating her words as is. Was hoping for leads to be smarter but unfortunately the writer seems to play it straight and dumbed them down in becoming besties with low energy witch after that. (tho i have slight hope that YD keeps a glimmer of doubt alive as she is side-eying the witch too obviously in between) But overally there are way too many inviting witch over to tea, friendly talks and TK eating at her house scenes. That indigestion he got from the food at the Screechy Asylum serves him right for being plot dumb. Can’t eat all day after that either and at the clinic screams into the toilet as well. Hence Hyun Woo is like oooh that is Couvade Syndrome, isn’t it? And TK vehement denies but still feels sick when coming home which cements the rumor.

From now on YD/TK are invited to family dinner as In Ok asserts her newly gained soft power over a pouty joseon granny. Monotone-voice sea witch gets her job back at the company, bc leads are too dumb to question her and or the writer gives her mighty plot armor. She also tells her father that he is no longer her father… moving on. Cutest scene goes to the lead’s respective siblings who once more meet in a park and she proves to him that Jay indeed is someone else and her pics not photoshopped. She is teasing him in inching closer when he moves away on the bench and they are overall adorable. Some guys play basketball on the court next to them, and we get the typical guy saves gal from incoming projectile ball scene. Only that the ball lands like waaaay next to them lmao, but he still holds her close for another moment, heart beating fast. Romance is in the air and they are the much needed balance for the Sea Witch and leads being braindead nonsense. I love them.

The sympathetic pregnancy is a ruse as said, sadly. Still YD uses it like a boss to redirect the question about “another man” (since the opportunistic jealous cow blabbed about JH’s text to JG) with TK having SP. It is super-effective as it shuts up granny questioning his fatherhood. YD may be stupid in regards of delulu clown, but she is already having a firm grasp on granny and the gong family. (Killing them with kindness indeed.) Who all laugh at TK for his supposed Couvade syndrome. Seems to be seen as unmanly and ridiculous in SK/dramaworld for a man to have this much empathy with his pregnant partner. Cant have that. Yikes. The clinics employees are the biggest gossip girls once more, as they are seen talking about it as TK arrives at his clinic and tease him for it. Poor guy cannot eat anything, but not because he is sick any longer but due to the rumors of morning sickness he can’t be seen eating. Still goes inexplicably goes eating lunch with Cruella as she visits him in the clinic in another braindead moment. I lost patience and interest there to listen to what it is about, but it was way too friendly and it feels like she is subtly threatening him. I hate everything about this.

TK/YD have not only too few scenes together this episode without anyone interfering, but also an astonishing lack of communication (overall planning and coordinating as a team, and about Cruella in general) in this episode. Cutest bits were when she fell asleep on the gaudy couch seat, and he carried her to her bed and lingered for a few mill-seconds, looking at her. Hey I take my microscopic lead romance crumbs where I can get them 😁 And also her fixing his indigestion with pricking his finger and him being the biggest baby about it lmao. I know this is a loooong game but we really need something more than that to build a (believable) romance, people. Here is an idea for starters: Give them more scenes together, where they are actually TALK to each other. Or/and let them spend time together that is not involving their families for once, like a harmless, friendly lunch together or whatever. Sigh.

YD feels increasingly bad for lying to In Ok since she is the nicest and most well-adjusted person in this household and treats her like her daughter. Chan Sik goes on a business trip and will return from it a changed man. Like literally since the actor for YD's father will change, lol. Forgot what “secret” she told joseon granny upon her prompting but it was something trivial like her hating JG at first or something, and left her speechless. By now I am pretty sure YD is going to be granny’s favorite in the end with how she keeps owning her and thus gaining her begrudged respect,.lmao. Yeondoo also tries to show her some texts on her phone to prove her innocence to the petulant majesty, but she is having none of it.

Overall is Joseon Granny a lot more bearable by now, as the veteran actress definitely plays up the ridiculousness, entitlement and immaturity of her character and I can appreciate that. (Unlike with narcoleptic Cruella where is just… putting me to sleep whenever she is on screen and talking.) You are not supposed to take JG seriously and this episode made it more than clear, whereas the narrative wants to sell Goldi Golddigger as the intimidating scheming mastermind and it just... does DOES NOT WORK.

Bong Nim is visiting her daughter after hearing of the accident, and in effect joseon granny. It goes over as well as you think it would. I think BN knows now that the school is sponsored by the Gong fam and also maybe that Jang Ho and mental basket case are related, but not sure. I love how BN does not back down toward that senior toddler, but it ends in some hair-pulling and screeching, makjang style with old bat shown to have the upper hand as YD and In Ok unclaw them from each other. There was probably some more I already forgot about but this episode was pretty blah in general, so it could not have been that important anyway lmao.

Preview is idk, I mentally checked out after seeing YD in Sea Witch’s car and leaving her phone there like the biggest idiot after letting mental mooncalf see her passcode. Please tell me YD did that on purpose so clownie gonna find the text msg she wanted joseon granny to see. And as a test toward Goblin Goldhorder in general. Uncle of YD gets a storyline of his own with old lover returning, i guess? More side-couple nonsense... rude sis gets a love triangle of sorts? And another L collected by granny when going up against YD. Love to see it.

Either way, i feel there are gonna be some very patience-testing episodes ahead, so better buckle up and regulate your blood pressure, folks. Best just stop to take delulu clown seriously at all, as you will have a better time then in her incoming over-long circus show, fr. I appreciate however with how fast issues are addressed and cleared, here also with that text of YD’s ex that hung in the air. So I hope for same to happen in regard of snore snake’s lies but the writer dumbing down her leads so much in favor of Cruella collecting W's gives me little hope atm. Welp. PRAYER CIRCLE FOR THE WRITER GIVING US A MAKJANG GOTCHA "IT IS NOT HOW IT SEEMS" MOMENT, tho.

(Meaning: There is still the hidden/small possibility of the writer wanting to throw us off. And the leads are just playing along with SJ to see her angle bc they do know better than to trust her. However it is played too straight atm and there is no indication of the leads working together/or even each on their own to expose Cruella. And if there is none tomorrow, i will stop taking this possibility into account, But just so you know that perhaps not everything is as it seems atm. At least I HOPE it to be the case)

Takeaways, episode 15:

I will keep it short-ish, bc there wasn't that much happening i find worth mentioning in detail. Mind my korean is still stuck in beginner/low intermediate hell, so i probably misunderstood/misinterpreted some things. (in particular because I am watching the livestream, i am left to listen to the dialogue just once without repetition that would clarify some things further for me, even without subs)

typical case of script dumb, so perhaps it is just indigestion instead of SP. Or food poisoning lmao. But Hyung already mentioned SP toward TK, so who knows. Could be a beneficial misunderstanding for both of them tho.

OMG, i had to read this twice 😆 This is so deliciously messy for real and true to its makjang roots. But unlike it, it is set up well with prior scenes preparing it for its giant explosion... instead of it all being a random event/plot twist. I need more popcorn 🍿😂

I think i am so annoyed about it, because we spent like four episodes and hours of the leads twiddling their thumbs/wallowing in themselves/self-pity without making any story progress. And that just because they both refused to talk to each other, lied and omitted truths in the most convoluted, needless ways. It is not as though they are stuck in the past TOGETHER or the issue is time-sensitive, nah fam. Either can totally do their thing at their own pace, no problem at all.

Thus, we could long have had at least some character progress with FL already, aka getting to know the truth about her mom's death, and thus channel her grief in *slightly* healthier directions and ML would have some very important information for the case too... IF THEY HAD TALKED EARLIER or like AT ALL, lmao.

Hence we are basically starting at episode 1 with episode 5 bc both of them finally, graciously decided to tell each other the truth. Wow, thanks. 🙄 I am aware they need to fill 16 eps somehow, but make it make sense, please.

To be honest; Nah. Way too extreme, impulsive and stupid. I get she is driven by grief and wanting to improve the life of a beloved person, but not to that extent. She lost me there, sorry.

But there are 12 eps left, so i still have hope she will manage to stop and THINK for once in one of them, at least 😝
