He is dead, so it means jackshit, as i explained in detail. Plus, in SKorea, family register work differently afaik, you need to be actively written into it to legally count as such. Hence, outside of her having no contact with her father whatsoever since he left, FL was nor is ever a part of ML's family in any way, shape, or form.
So i don't know why this is the hill you wanna die on tbh, but okay. Either watch it or not, it is that simple.

Yes. First mistress he eloped with, then wife. She was already married several times before him, and is all around shitty, toxic and selfish person in general that causes everyone (and i mean *everyone*) around her to suffer. You will see what i mean.
Also the story would not work without all these details set up before the start of the drama/this background, but it is written deliberately this way that the leads have never met before to avoid the whole "ugh what? They are step siblings?" issue.

Different set of parents for both. As i was saying before this is kdrama not alabamaππ
FL stopped having contact with her deadbeat dad as soon he abandoned her family a decade ago. So even if that father lived with ML at that point in time, that means nothing regarding FL/ML's relationship as they never met each other before the events of the drama start.
Step brother - sister falling for each other would be weird?!
No. They had never met each other before the start of the drama, FL's father is a dead beat who eloped with his mistress and ML's mother to marry her a decade before, abandoned his family and FL. FL's father has also died. They really ain't step sibling, lol
I agree with you on this. FL's characteristic trait is blunt, outspoken and honest. She never beat around the…
It does make sense when you consider that Woojoo misunderstood DJ when he said "his mother is his weakness" She heard it as "My mother is a person I want to protect" instead the/his vast flaw and life-sucking demon he actually meant with that. Given her own deep ties to her family it is no surprise that she does not even consider that he hates his mother deeply and how she is the reason for his unhappy life. And because she misunderstood it as such, she does not want to cause DJ more distress and pain than he is already in, in going against his mother. She wants him to be happy, even if it means to give up on the house. This is how much she loves him.
Noice, this movie is basically a gender-bent welcome 2 life with FL being the ruthless lawyer at the start and then gaining perspective through a different life. Although i guess this movie is way lighter in tone, but we will see (currently watching)
Edit: Welp, that escalated quickly into darkish, sad territory. FL is knocking it out of the park with a whole register of reactions and emotions, tho. ML is best husband, seriously. I love him. Such a good man.
Well, it was nice. Somehow lacking tho as obviously the limited movie time required them to gloss over a lot of things and deeper relationships etc. I really wish this would have been a drama with several episodes of her adjusting to her new life, learning to love her family and husband and so on. So much potential for further story here, pity. But what was there was still good and heartwarming. Just wished for... more idk. A good watch nonetheless, had not expected to delve into melo tho given the trailer.
the struggle when you love Yang Sejong as an actor so much that all left to watch him in is a sad/tragic sageuk, lol. One day. One day i gotta steel myself enough to power through it for him, i promise haha
yeeeeeah i know that ;) Thus i hope it is just his first idea and there is more to it in the end. But i can see how the writers maybe gonna use it as part to show DJ's determination to right the wrongs even if it would not make sense irl legally tbh. We will see.
yeah the couple should turn to the police and give Heeja jailtime for scamming them, instead of DJ paying them back once more in stead of his mother. I feel however it is narratively used to show at which length he is willing to go to right the wrongs that happened to WJ's family bc of his mother. I hope there is more to it tho, as previews are misleading and we also have a frame of DJ being in the police station, so here is hoping lol.

it is a weekend/ family drama. They are always this long. Or even longer.
