I don't know either, but seeing how hard she worked each year since her debut, maybe she just needed a timeout/break to focus on personal life more. She has several works in the making now tho, so we hopefully get way more Haesun in the near future (her new drama comes out around summer i think.) She has been my favorite ever since i stumbled onto mr. queen (which was also one of my first ever kdramas watched) What a phenomenal actress, bless.

Try Hello Me, then. He plays the ML who is an airhead, immature chaebol son that has to learn to live w/o his family's money as daddy cuts him off. Completely different role to this, but his character development and growth in there is so very satisfying. He is very sweet in there and it has romance too which is more of the subtle, supportive kind w/o grand gestures or declarations of love.

Tbf I was initially bored by the first episode too but this is a drama where the story slowly comes to blossom, the more you get to know the characters etc. Hence it needs patience on your part and of course also the right mood to watch a melancholy-tinged show.

i added the tag because it fits DJ like a glove, bc you know... depression. He has generally a very quiet and introvert character who observes instead of interacting and thinks a thousand times before speaking (i can so relate, lol)

As this is no historical documentary about joseon royalty but fully fictional, it would be an one queen, one wife only deal indeed like in mr.queen (later on) and the forbidden marriage for example. ML when prince or king never shows interest in anyone else either once they are in love, so yeah i would not worry too much. Considering he stays in the position and "power" Hwan is very much the type devoted to his queen only. I am not mad either, if he doesn't end up on the throne tho and they are living their lives as free people away from palace politics, but either way i highly doubt he would ever look at anyone else but the woman he already loves.

Yeeeah. I have experienced it myself during my worst phase of depression and it is the weirdest most frustrating feeling bc even if you want to "speed up" you can't because you lack the energy to break through that haze. And it costs too much effort too. The brain is so weird really.

I guess this is why I can empathize with Donjin so much, since I have my own unfortunate experiences with depression. Sadly ppl's education or even understanding is still very lacking when it comes to it or other mental disorders.

It is implied in his talks with Dal that he had a slightly... naughty history before taking his vows/devoting himself to being pontifex, and daaaamn it shows 🔥 😏 The man is all but innocent haha. Just being in love is new for him afaik, and i love how whipped he is for her.

Flat as an evil crêpe indeed xD Yeah i don't doubt the actor is/can be charming but he is not dealt the best hand regarding his character to begin with. If they had to include his char, i would very much preferred for him to be a more cheeky/humorous and charming fellow (a la Lucifer (the show) or so) that enjoys the freedom and corrupting possibilities the riches he has offers in the modern world/modern SK instead of hovering in his darkened lair and obsess over idols/Rembrary like a defiant/pouty anti fan teenage girl. It is just so... boring, because he just plays "look how evil i am" so straight to the point where it is really is only cartoonish anymore.
