aww, i have not seen that happening in kdramas tbh xD No spoilers here either, other than them/or rather their shadows/silhouettes being affectionate with each other/walking together etc that kind of thing. It is more symbolic than anything else, tho. Quite artistic and nicely done too.

Oh definitely. The main title/credits here are certainly one of the more unique and beautiful ones in kdramaland due to the usage of shadows and silhouettes <3
That weird shadow sequence in episode 5 seemed really out of place.
if you look at the main title/credits they do every at the start of every episode, it fits since shadows are a huge theme in there. May be a callback to it, or more symbolism for later. We will see.

My thoughts exactly. It is still there but not as heavy as before, which I think is done deliberately. As it aligns with the leads'/characters' emotions that are less heavy the last two episodes.
We talk a lot about ML here but what just clicked with me about Woo Joo as i watched the beginning of episode…
It also explains her half-assed revenge plan, as she is highly driven by her emotions. Impulsive at first, but in the end she always seems able to pause and observe and reflect, after all. Aka act now, regret later. Contradictory? Hell yeah, but we humans are walking contradictions and that only makes her a much more interesting character tbh.
We talk a lot about ML here but what just clicked with me about Woo Joo as i watched the beginning of episode 5, and why she is so contradictory.... she is a tsundere archtype of character.
Like the one that proclaim loudly to everyone around them how everyone can go to hell because they don't need anyone and they don't caaaaare. But actually they care a LOT, so much that they have developed keen observing skills and a high level of empathy for the people around them under their prickly armor and words that also serves to hide their own vulnerability. Woo Joo is all that. Her words are harsh and blunt, but her kind actions (often without thinking) betray all that, and shows how much she actually cares for and understands other people. Not everyone of course, but the ones she deems important enough to spare her attention toward. And DJ is now included here, and always has been from the start Just that it is shifting into a more positive direction bc she saw him at his lowest and understood/related to him... and it will only grow from there
And now excuse me i gotta continue watching and crying about how she cooked hangover soup for him after seeing him drinking alone and at his lowest the night before ðŸ˜

Ah, no problem <3 English can be very confusing after all. What helped me when i started out a looooong time ago and when i wrote english (fan)fiction not that long ago is looking up words in the thesaurus or dictionary online, when they have an apparent same meaning to find the one with the right connotation (i wanted to express) Best of luck for your further language journey tho. The most important thing is to not give up as you learn by doing with it, literally. :D

Honestly he has been crushing on her early on but has not realized his feelings as such yet. (Which shows in how very bothered and emotional he gets whenever it comes to her, how she makes him pause and perk up and smile. He is impressed by her wits and guts, and bewildered and intrigued alike by her 'unlady' like behavior. He is protective of her, gets jealous and a little bit petty in regards of the sergeant and others having her attention instead of him... that polo match 😂. And he is infinitely bothered by that letter of marriage's existence, lmao)
Just like they have still to see how perfect they are for each other actually haha. Because with her attitude and drive to help ppl and change things on a larger scale she will make an ideal queen. Not to mention on a personal level, she easily gets past hwan's prickly demeanor and brings out his best self. She challenges him where others don't dare to due to his status of being CP, but she is treating as a person behind the crown/status, which he hasn't had much of in his life. She makes him feel at ease and less alone. He treats her like an equal instead of downsizing her opinions and thoughts just because she is a woman. He values them, listens to what she has to say. Which is something she wants(in a man) and in general. Plus, at his side she can do more than darn socks how she lamented. She can influence and change things due to him becoming king later on. So she has the right idea wih staying at his side forever, only that it will be as queen instead of head eunuch heh. Not to mention that her intelligence and ability to adapt is ideal for maneuvering court/palace politics and intrigues.
I adore their dynamic so much ngl. They are already each others source of comfort and it is only getting deeper and more apparent with every episode. And with the crown princess selection coming up soon it will give him points of comparison and I bet he will all find them lacking and boring. Because she has already spoiled him for any other woman that is not her....without even trying, haha.
