It really took 12 episodes for gyejeol to stop being clueless
should have done so MUCH earlier, but at least there is that. I think i am gonna play catch up then with the episodes, since despite KJH i had little motivation to continue what more and more feels like incoherent nonsense... and not the fun kind
Is there any kdramas that provides entertainment without stressing too much. I don't mind if logic goes for a…
From Now On Showtime: well written, sadly underappreciated 2022 fantasy/supernatural kdrama with lovable quirky characters, a found (ghost) fam and enemies to partners to lovers slowburn romance. Lots of comedy and the cutest, fluffiest ending to a kdrama that ever fluffed. It is on Viki/Viu.
Oh it is taking some time to getting used to for sure, but that filter is meant to mute the colors, aka giving…
I mean, this is not the official reason for the filter, just my interpretation since both leads are clearly depressed and miserable and we see the story from their eyes, so the muted colors make a lot of sense. It is not always there, but it is used a lot so as said, it is taking some time to get used to that directional/visual choice made for this drama ngl.
why do you say that? how many episodes have you watched so far?
heh no prob, i just heard in a youtube vid a while ago. However i am always cautious about stuff like this because a lot of times it is taken out of context/wrongly translated as it was with Park Hae Jin for example, but yeah, sometimes it is just bad/toxic opinions too, of course. Those can and hopefully will change in time, as people usually do. Because god knows the stupid shit i still subscribed to ten years back, yikes. Thankfully i am not public person tho, where ppl bring up the stupid/bad shit i said a decade or more ago for a lifetime lol.

been a decade (2013) not condoning it but i guess we all said some stupid shit way back in our lives. Ten years is a longass time tho and people change, so hopefully was enough for him to wise up at least a little about it. Ideally a lot, of course, but yeah.
Yeeeep. Her assumption that he is momma's beloved boy who pampers him with money and attention, while understandable, could not be more wrong... and i finally want her to see and know that. I get why she is how she is toward him at the moment, but they are actually two sides of the same coin and could help each other out a lot, tbh.
The pink filter muting the colors is a pretty apt visual depiction of how depression feels like (source: me) but daaaamn it is always a trip coming from another drama with normal color palette to this one haha
Still one of my faves from last year but definitely not an easy watch or a light romcom. So go into this drama with the right expectations as it goes heavy on the topics of death, grief, trauma, guilt and how to move on from all that, if at all.
A couple days ago I watched "the secret life of my secretary" and kim young kwang's character was soooo bright…
He is also in Hello Me where he plays a bubbly, immature airhead son of a rich family who gets his money taken away and has to *gasp* work to prove his worth. The drama is not about him, but he is the ML there and has some very nice character development and romance with FL where he matures considerably throughout. Definitely a very different character he plays there to this drama. Imo it i an underrated , very wholesome show too, worth the watch.
Wow, i am really glad the drama is way less grim and far fewer a sausage party only than the webtoon, tbh. Doesn'…
I wrote that comment before watching eps. 6 tbh so I guess we are going to see some things of the webtoon after all, I guess. Happy however they incorporated much more female characters tho, the webtoon seems to have a disturbing absence of them tbh.
Was lol-ing at Jae Yi cursing at the lake while Hwan was behind her 😆 I realize from reading the comments that…
I love them. Considering that they are not open about nor even aware of their feelings for each other yet, they already act a lot like a married couple, bickering and teasing included 🤭
I’m tired of seeing comments about the differences between webtoon and drama. I read the webtoon and while it’s…

episode 5 was so funny, KMG is really selling his comedic role with a mixture of deadpan. sincerity and awkwardness of a priest "too old for this shit"😂 Story is still the ultimate cheese-fest but i enjoy his character and comedic situations so much i don't actually care how trite the evil one character is hahaha.
i don't ship them but her cheering for the sml was cute
well, on the surface she really did cheer for the sml's team but as he said so himself, her eyes were glued at Hwan during the match instead. And she later on complained about "why he had to look so cool/handsome?" 😁 So Hwan isn't the only one catching feelings😏
These were my exact thoughts toooooo! I had to stop the episode right before the match and seriously went "omg…
He really iiiiiiis all that hahaha. Like a (teenage) boy poking/teasing her so she has to pay attention to him and not anyone else xD Aaaand it worked, she definitely only had eyes for him during the match 😏
Tbh, Hwan should not be crown prince of Joseon but king of pettiness 😂 Not him misdirecting his jealousy into competitiveness to make Jea Yi lose her money, since she dared to bet on, and cheer for the WRONG team, that of the sergeant. Oh, such an audacity must be royally punished by him xD This is in line with his character btw, as he was introduced to being very temperamental to us, after all, with yelling at his servants/throwing them out. And since he has not figured out his feelings for her yet, he is... behaving a bit like a petty teen tsundere atm whenever her attention is divided toward others, particularly the sergeant hahaha. (that letter of marriage lives rent free in his head and i bet he wants to burn it and stomp on its ashes😂)
Which could be annoying and red-flaggy, but PHS does sell it as endearing, because it is such a human(izing) flaw to not be the most rational person in presence of your crush, nor the perceived "love rival." The guy most likely hasn't ever been in love before either, so no wonder he does not know how to handle it, nor recognizes his feelings for what they are to begin with🤭He is smart with books, deduction and palace politics etc, but dumb of ass with emotions and the human relationships requiring it. And this actually makes him a better, more interesting character tbh, because perfection is boring.
