this scene tho, i was always afraid during it that Junghyun would pass out due to lack of oxygen, but he powered thru this scene like a rap-star, bless 😂
You think that KJH's acting is not godly. It's ok. ..And viewers here like and praise his acting and you call…
i mean fair, but the way one argues their points matters too, that is all what i have been saying. It is always best to keep baseless assumptions out of it when making your points, or things get quickly personal and ugly (like it eventually happened here.) We better keep it to the facts of KJH good acting and them being WRONG haha instead you know... pseudo psychoanalyze someone on the internet as a gotcha argument.

lmao, all has been said already well by others, so no need for me to add to this, And this thread is pure insanity already and i have better things to do than to internet argue with delusional trolls who think KJH is a bad actor. They need to get their eyes checked asap, bc they are clearly blind lol.
Honestly, one glance at my icon should tell you who my two most fave actors are, so idk why are you picking a fight with me here? I am just saying that bringing feminism into it all is veeeeeery unneeded, you can make your arguments very well without it. The overcorrection of people defending ISH which in turn devolves into bashing KJH is indeed super-annoying bc it is so unnecessary. Since we are all in the same boat here while the drama airs after all and should support each other than to open up a clown circus of superfluous arguments. Doesn't mean gender/feminism has anything to do with it tho when someone indeed starts clowning about Junghyun. They are just wrong, in every way. Easy as.
You're just a toxic feminist whose blood has boiled cuz jung hyun is carrying the whole drama. He is supposed…
Can we not shit on Shin Haesun here to defend KJH? Like this was so unneeded like your comment about feminism. SHS and KJH are both great actors and one of the few who are seeing each other eye to eye in terms of abilities/range/versatility, so can you PLEASE STOP this nonsense? 😒
they also showed him looking up "avoidant personality disorder" and counceling options in his city, so him being…
i don't disagree, but they used it to show that life ain't a straight line and things don't go smoothly. Especially not with mental health and particular a person that tends to avoid confrontation in whatever form and facing their problems as their main symptom of mental illness won't find their way quickly to a therapist.
So yeah ideally they would have dealt with it sooner in the story and showed him making (small) progress already, but as seen he needed to arrive at a personal breaking point first to finally seek help. Frustrating yeah, but also more realistic and this was what the drama was aiming for.
they also showed him looking up "avoidant personality disorder" and counceling options in his city, so him being…
Yeah, with all we have seen this description fits ML perfectly:
People diagnosed with Avoidant Personality Disorder report high rates of childhood physical and emotional abuse, which can disrupt healthy psychological development and impair your ability to form healthy, strong attachments while simultaneously causing you to internalize criticism and shaming.
I liked that they showed that bit of him looking it up and seeking counceling, as mental health and illness is still very stigmatized in SK. So every small bit of awareness helps, i personally didn't know about avoidant PD either. So it was interesting to read up about it online. The more you know etc 😁
well... yeah. They didn't have TV or printing to know what the royalty looked like and it's not like peasants…
afaik, those were made and then kept in the palace as well. It is not like they would exhibit the paintings in a barn for the common folk or so. Also generally being royalty and "heaven's sun" low class people were not allowed to look at the king on top of them not being able to set a foot into the palace. So no surprise they never knew what he looked like, which in turn allows the going out in disguise shenanigans in sageuks.
So he remained gutless/spineless until the end. Hopefully the FL can truly move on now as he never once showed…
they also showed him looking up "avoidant personality disorder" and counceling options in his city, so him being "gutless" is actually part of his trauma experienced and resulting mental illness. We can assume he will get treatment and gets better in time and they might meet again at that point, but i guess with that sort of ending it is up to your own interpretation.
halfway through the drama and Gye Jeol is still clueless. There’s no growth with her…feels like she gets dumber…
Yeah it is astounding in the worst way how this character lacks any situational awareness and common sense, trusts everything she is told without questioning it at all or the events and people around her. Calling it childlike would be an insult to kids who are naturally curious and questioning things around them. She does nothing of this sort, just does and believes whatever people tell her. That character is just dumb and guilable to an unrealistic, grating degree, incapable to even put 1+1 together or what cause and effects mean.
As i said before, this is indeed such a thankless role for ISH. She does fine, but is abandoned by the writers who conflate ignorance and utter cluelessness with "being cute/perky."
Wtf…why is this labeled as a rom com? I haven’t seen the last episode yet, but it’s been spoiled for me.…
i submitted a few more tags and requested the removal of the comedy tag at least because lol there is nothing comedic about this drama... except how much of a mess the leads are, maybe😂
i skipped thru eps 12 and yeah it is. At the end they name-drop the title of the drama and then walk away in different directions. So pretty much open-ended, but given the direction the drama took in the last few eps, this is the best solution to close it all off. Definitely not your standard kdrama nor romcom at all, lol. I kinda enjoyed the mess of characters that felt realistic... but i am glad it is over now.
I've actually rather enjoyed the journey this drama has taken us on, it's a much more realistic, messy, immature…
I smell a timeskip where they are apart but maybe find each other when they have sorted themselves out. But at this point it would be best if they heed the title of the drama and become strangers again
watching ep 12 and...why is it that when there is a drama with MC in the education sector there's always a suicide…
this part is really like crazy love redux lmao, but tbh i am glad if it is just that instead of him being in love and jealous, bc we REALLY don't need the harmful murderous/villain gay shit trope in 2023. (mind, there is a difference between a villain that happens to be queer and someone who's whole motivation to be villainous is due to queerness, which would be the case with this drama and that would be yikes. So give me Crazy Love redux version instead any day)
First half of the drama people bash ml,where as 2nd half its fl.The fact that the fl is being called manipulative…
It is peak manipulation and red flag behavior. Alas, it is in line with Hara's character to steamroll EB to get her will no matter what. Really disappointed that she has had zero character development and comprehension how her behavior is egoistical and toxic for this supposed "new beginning" where she does the same shit that led to the divorce (among other factors from MLs side ofc) from the get go, actually.
At this point i am convinced this drama only serves as backdrop and stage for Junghyun to show off his acting range/skills... and i am okay with that lmao. May it lead him to better written projects in the near future, because this show ain't... it. The script is relying on KJH to carry everything in this show too much, there is no substance outside of him doing his thing, which he does greatly, but yeaaaah. Story feels nonexistant and meandering atm.
But that one scene in episode 8 tho with Kkokdu's manic glee before the (almost) kill, wow. I so want to see him as a bad guy in a drama now, he would excel in such a role. ISH's character gets dumber with each episode instead the other way around unfortunately. It is really a thankless role for her with how the writers used every backward bella swan-ish gender stereotype of twenty years ago (clumsy, dumb, naive, guillable and optimistic to a fault and with no opinion of her own) for this female character that it has really become very grating to watch, since there is no balance to these shitty traits, and least of all growth/character development. Sure there are still 8 eps to go where it could happen but especially how she acted (as in reacting to events, not the acting, mind) in eps 8 I don't hold my breath. Dumber as a rock, yikes and i so understand KKokdu's exasperation with her.
