Ep 6 was soo good, I laughed so much during all of the mains' interactions! I just adoooore Kim Jung Hyun
I think the problem is among ppl just being too critical, that not easy to act opposite of Kim Jung Hyun to begin with, since not many actors can keep up with him (especially once he gets rolling hehe.) ISH is doing a fine job all things considered, but obviously she ain't Shin Hae Sun who saw each other eye to eye skill-wise (in mr. queen.)
Then again, i don't think ISH has to do that for this goofy role either and she is quite unfairly judged and compared to his acting by people. Her character has some old-school romcom ditziness and is too naive at times (hope for character dev here,) but her optimism and good nature is a perfect contrast to our grumpy, jaded grinch of death :D

you misunderstood, i also said i like him and his acting, but he is passable not exceptional with it. Other actors are better in their craft than him, but he makes a drama enjoyable to watch. And that is what counts, right?

I haven't finished eps one fully yet bc busy day and all, but it is definitely a bin geable drama. Unrelated but I'm so tickled by the fact Yoo Teo lived basically an hour away from my city for such a long time. His German is super perfect/native lvl too of course 🥺😁

It was... okay? Felt like a filler episode, despite the flashbacks and more background about GJ. The story/script reeeeally is not giving/doing much for the characters to work with and i kinda wonder how they gonna fill the runtime of 16 eps. Mind i watch KJH doing his thing and funny faces for 16 hours no problems, but still it feels a bit flat atm. Also GJ really frustrated me a couple of times in this episode. Still, Kkokdu is such a mood, tho and he is my jaded spirit animal, bless him, haha.

Yeah i went thru two more eps before putting it back on hold bc i was bored out of my mind. I still want to see how it is ending, but i could really not care less for any characters other than the ones you already mentioned, so i think i will skip a lot like you did for the last 2 and half eps.

It does not only require that, but also a partner who listens and cooperates. And Hara was neither, as up in her own needs and demand to see them fulfilled always she was during their marriage. As we have discussed to death now regarding their divorce, i don't condone the way he went about it, but remember we have it out of her mouth that she would not have agreed to a divorce otherwise. So i understand him, especially when he was running against walls for years before.
And also as said a million times before, they failed both, either in their own ways that contributed to the relationship's dysfunction. So they have now four episodes left for (hopefully) believable adjustments in their relationship with better communication etc so that both are going to be happy living together in the long run. Which ofc doesn't have to mean remarrying. Hell i actually would prefer it when they both would move into maybe two separate apartments but these are in the same house, or something. So each of them has their own space when needed, but they can quickly visit each other and stay at each others place whenever they want to (and it was agreed upon prior. You know, communication xD )
i feel like this series is just supposed to be entertaining and i'm enjoying it just accepting it for what it…
if they don't put in the work now to improve on what went wrong, sure it won't last between them. But that is what the remaining four episodes are about tho, them finding (and failing in between) a way to live together that is satisfactory for BOTH of them. Oh for sure, he has trauma regarding kids and taking care of them, so much is obvious. And with all implied, i think his sister probably died in a car accident (kdrama staple after all lol) while he was watching over her playing or something. I think it happened when they both were still kids most likely. Hence why he reacted so strongly to his friend's kid being hurt a few eps back. And it makes sense that he does not want to have kids then. Hopefully the preview isn't taken out context as they appear to discuss that, at least.
I don't get why people continue to say "there is more to his reason to divorce" when being unhappy and feeling suffocated is VERY much a super valid reason to part ways to begin with? Why should the show have to add another reason on top of that just to up the ~~dramatic effect~~ when the cause given suffices already and that in a way it even feels realistic? People and relationships are messy after all, my friends.
