this seems likely since they like ending a show on an even number, or here rather even number of weekends aired that makes a seamless switch to the next weekender (you know that one from the batshit crazy writer of Young Lady And A Gentleman, so that show is gonna be a trainwreck) possible. Since they are filming as they go anyway, it would not be an issue either to extend it for that one eps. I would love for it to be a full epilogue episode in the way Once Again has done it, and excellently at that. You know just an episode where we spend some more time with the characters and bid farewell as we watch how they fare after everything is over and past a (very likely) timeskip that every family drama has ONLY AT THE END (TRHC failed even here)

Oh and it is possible as they also extended the current trainwreck of a daily Unpredictable Family for two episodes so that the show ends with the friday eps instead Wednesday and leaves a void for two days in the program. Since that show was also affected by the sport event cancellations back then.

Yeah happy ending would be nice but this drama definitely overstayed its welcome. 16 eps is way too much for a story like that, but i already said that before, so i will leave it at that. (Should have ended at/with 14 eps)

My avatar is a gif from the family drama/weekender "live your own life" with main couple hajun and Uee, who are cute as heck together. It is not a romcom tho, but they play an integral part and have very good chemistry. Family dramas are their own subgenre of kdrama tho and not everyone's cuppa. Just FYI.

Afaik, TM wants the (never seen?) footage from the accident/murder of TH's parents destroyed (so he can further cover up everything for the sake of his father) that TVlife has and holds over him that forced him into marriage in the first place. In exchange he gives them subsidiaries like hotels etc and wants her to leave, which she both denied since she notice how important the footage is to him.

haha, i am guilty of oversharing all Taeho& Hyoshim content on twitter (I am in fact rn editing the last two eps in bite-sized vids to post them in its respective threads, lol) but maybe this is due to no one else doing so, which is a shame. I am happy that the drama finally breached the 20% mark with the sunday eps, bc by now with its continuous improving narrative it feels really earned. But yeah watching it from that point on is a good idea, bc if you have seen the Taehshim scenes from the episodes before (thx to me, lol), you have seen the best the drama has to offer in its first 24 eps, ngl.

Oh with MFIS is a shame but very understandable. I haven't read the webtoon, but from the comments i gleaned that the changes made for the kdrama have been for the better tbh. The BTS thing (if you know you know) was nothing short of a genius way to let the leads reveal a huge fact/secret about each other. What i also like about MMH is that the abusive behavior of her bf is called out and condemned in the narrative and other characters (https://twitter.com/sundogsnrainbow/status/1747280928236294506), which sadly is still not the norm in kdrama.

No plans to catch up on LYOL? I feel by now it is getting undeservedly overlooked due to its slow circular start but by now i am really enjoying my time with it and how it is paced and how fast issues are resolved. And it seems writer nim not only can but will keep it up going forward, building up to its final arc Main couple is great too <3

But yeah i have way too many ongoing kdramas rn and am actually glad that three are ending this week as it will lighten my load a little lol. Hence why i will wait to start and catch up on MFIS now until i have more breathing room. Dunno if that is your thing, but Marry My Husband as revenge romcom is a very good watch atm too. I plan to watch Dr. Slump too when it starts airing.

yeah that seem to be the big three that i would dare to touch. Others, though? Eh not so much tbh. UF feels a lot like TRHC here in regards of ML trying his best and investing more with a weakass FL who runs away at the slightest opposition and lets everyone walk over her. Terminally nice. And the bad people have free rein to do whatever tf they want without any consequenceswhatsoever. Plus everyone is related with everyone too, which was super stupid, but at least ML was adopted there. So that, TRHC for all its trainwreckiness did even better in a way, lmao. But yeah i saw those patterns in the daily that happened also in TRHC in a way, along with promising a premise that so did not happen then, which made me run away, lmao

Once again is still unmatched in execution of pretty much everything but by now i am happy with how LYOL is going too. Such good char development for the former doormat FL by now, bless. One of the rare family dramas that got/gets better the longer it goes on haha. I plan to watch My Father Is Strange next (yay for new vpn, so i can watch it on Viki US) but rn my watching schedule is too packed already haha. After that disappointment with UF, I feel the only daily i should ever touch is "Bravo My Life." tbh.
