Raw means without subs, nothing else ;) (I am a korean learner so i like to do that to see what i understand + it is waaaaay quicker available than the subs) And both episodes advanced the main story well. The pacing has been great since a few weeks and it seems the writer keeps it up as she is building up to the story's climax now with everything laid out and high stakes for the main lead(s) and baddies, facing off each other.

I just wish they would settle and stick to one version instead of inventing a new one whenever it is brought up lol but I guess that is family drama for you bc TRHC was factually even worse. Well okay it was worse in everything tbh but yeeeeah., 😂

Well there is a difference between everything orbiting around the main leads like TRHC has done, very badly I might add, and those characters never interacting with each other and existing only in a vacuum despite being family. There are no bonds between the siblings or cousins and their few interactions are always negative? Like there is an between of these two extremes, I promise, but neither writer of former or current weekender has used or found it, alas.

Watch Once Again and you see what I mean with the balance between each them having their own story and still being interconnected with each other that you don't forget that they are actually siblings/family and not strangers that are just thrown in as diversion to the main story/leads/second leads.

Hyosung is an example how it is done better with familial connection to both/several sides instead of that one way street of the other two couples living in their own vacuum that you could easily forget they exist if we weren't switching into their own world every now and then. The inlaw hag clash today was amusing tho ngl, but it is still so wild to me that these characters never talk to each other, or hang out or anything. HJ has still NOT apologized for anything to HS, but the assault thing that HS paid for and is due to do private classes into summer in particular, and i doubt we will ever see it happen ugh.(which is the main reason why i cannot stand this character btw, the callous indifference to anything but himself and maybe now MR who is still advised to run for the hills tbh. As for HD, him having zero character development 33 eps in does not help matters either to entice me to care even a little about this useless bastard)

If there is one thing I've learnt it is that KDrama and timelines never gel. They always throw random numbers and dates at the wall to see what sticks lol

omg, i didn't think about HS helping out her mom with the cafe (manager-wise) so she doesnt make a lotta debt again with failing again... but it could very much what is going to happen. Because a) this would actually help gremlin becoming independent, b) could be their arc for patching things up while keeping healthy boundaries now and c) would bridge over the time until HS can resume her studies at the university since her continuing to work at the gym is unlikely with nasty rumors floating around (i mean she is dating a client true but any talk of being a gold digger or similar is unfounded bs)

(Question is only if her model job pays enough for the living expenses till then) Maybe she can offer in person PT charge by the hour w/o gym too, lot of fitness trainers are doing that tbh. Or just go working in the gym next door to her old one, lmao. Either way, i am glad she isn't w/o options even without falling back on bf being rich. The only amusing thing about dumb and dumber is actually the way evil cow is flipping her shit whenever dumbo is calling her 😂 otherwise they are useless af and have zero bearing nor purpose for the story. THee has not even once told TH anything, grandma had to do her whole resurrection not a ghost scene on her own with appearing in front of TH. Useless, egocentric idiot. With these two couples i wish they were better interconnected into the (main) story as they are basically floating around as entities of their own without any connections to characters bar the familial ones ...that never have any bearing either. Taehee never interacted with her brother or cousin outside the funeral and Mirim isn't allowed to be friends with Hyoshim either despite them having so much in common (family bg) That adhesive connection to everything/other characters is something that is really lacking and makes me not care about any of them. You could cut both couples out and would not notice a difference other then being side-material/filler diverting/offering some relief from main story. Hyosung and kids at least interact with chars outside their written circle, be it TH in the company, their aunt in the gym, them visiting their (grand)mother etc but with the other two couples you get nothing of that, alas.

TM&TH relationship imploded in a flurry of fists w TM taking his parent's side till the bitter end which.... disappointing but not surprised. Can't spell company without corrupt/cover up at least in his pov welp. Taeho still has the better punch tho haha. TH&HS caught hugging by her co-workers and while discussed w the others they keep it hush from the boss... for now. TH & HS growing closer still with him spending the night in her apartment (platonically) bc he did not want to go home. But they also keep certain things hush which given TH's family mess is understandable. He'd seen how much she got hurt as TM inadvertently dragged her into the line of chaebol fire, so he is doing his all to keep her safe and away from them. Meanwhile TH is trying to mediate between HS and her mother but it remains a sour spot his gf avoids talking about. Gremlin got her ass up and works now? Took her other kid Hyodo to call her ignorant too tho after an in law tussle with evil cow. Least expected char development honestly. Unfortunately she will most likely cause more trouble with that cafe idea.TH's line of despite having no financial sense mother (in law) will be fine unless she opens up a business was not just filler, i guess. Since that is what is happened now. 😬

HS went back to the villa bc KS (zero waste granny) lost her bag and she found and brought it back. She has a touching scene with TH's grandma following that. She definitely very much approves of her being TH's gf and is glad that TH is no longer alone <3 Made a scarf for HS &TH which HS put on him the next day 🥺 (Also seeing HS and TH together was what made Myunghee step up bc "she has to protect these poor children.") So happy she isn't doing a 180 and tries to tear them apart but fully supports them <3 Mirim has now a loser boyfriend, my condolences guuurl...err i mean their relationship progressed too. Shrews in law had a deathmatch tussle of who is more horrible. It was a tie thb. Evil cow plans to disinherent THee and take her off the fam register. It is the thing always threatened in family dramas, so lets see how it plays out and if it is even viable, lol (bc afaik that is not easy to do just like that) Underling didn't seem on board with doing that to his daughter (no, not a typo 😂) Rubi, being her full egoistic bratty self was fully convinced of being able to convince HS to move back home and failed. Like super hard as HS, my now super awesome guuurl, schooled her hard and then left bc she had places to be (english class) without the brat lmao TH bought the coat for HS' mom HS wistfully looked at the day before, and went to the villa to bring it to her, but gremlin wasn't home, so he left again. But he was seen by his grandma who went after him, hesitating but then called out for him. And he stops, shocked and turns around and sees her. The end. OMG aaaaaaah. I never expected her to actually call out for him and the writer to ALREADY reunite them. But writer nim ain't leaving any crumbs atm and i love it so much.

Next week TAEHO AND GRANDMA REUNION AAAAAH. Hyoshim's working situation gonna implode and testing HS & TH's bond, i guess? Hope TH can help out here as he is one half of the responsible party, lol. It's good that HS picked another career path already tho as it is much needed, since i doubt she can continue working there with all the rumors afloat. Also hopefully granny finally gonna tell TH about the slush fund foundation bc every scene about it makes me anxious af. TM's sham of a marriage is the next thing on the list the writer planning to implode as well, but i actually don't care lmao. Made his bed, now lie in it etc etc etc Really stoked at how well things are moving along and hopeful for a long satisfying ending including Taehshim wedding (and timeskip kids ? with granny living with them) when all matters are wrapped up timely. Right now the writer is obviously building up to the big bang aka the big climax... wait this both sounded so wrong 😂 I MEAN IN A STORY. IN A STORY, people, nothing else 🤣 This is a family friendly program after all 😆

cant relate i am having a blast with this weekend drama since eps 25, especially now with how fast things are moving along and are resolved. Makes me hopeful we get some quiet character focused episodes at the end and a window into the leads' married life after timeskip.

Well then you know what weekenders/family dramas are. Pretty much soap opera and always stories about families, good and bad. Though nothing is as unhinged than the show you named. If you can bear with a lot of asshole characters give this show here a go, the leads are worth it and cute (later on) but use the ffw button liberally to get thru the annoying/circular parts. It picks up a lot around eps 24-25 tho and has been a good watch since. Definitely worth more than the meager 7.6 rating it is given here.

I'm honestly so glad I've chosen to invest into Live Your Own Life instead of this train wreck, ngl. Even if it looked for 15 eps or so there that the story is caught in an eternal circle, at first. It has been going great since the halfway point and Uee and Hajun together are such a joy to watch 🥰 I haven't watched the daily since eps 52 or so and zero motivation to continue because the only unpredictable thing about this show is the toxicity level. And how much false advertising the synopsis and marketing of it was/is. LYOL has also a lot of asshole chars but at least there you expect it and it's mitigated by the leads and lighter scenes. Nah thanks I'm good. Time to drop this nonsense here.

haha, thanks. The post is 4 months old so by now i have vpn and use it freely for streaming. But even then i cannot watch this show on viki since it requires a plus pass and mine is standard (which i can watch everything with in my real region that is available since there is no kocowa and plus pass here) But then again i haven't watched it for weeks, so the only show where i need to pause my vpn to start it is Live Your Own Life (since it is paywalled otherwise in the US servers i use for viki otherwise) hehe

Agreed about TRHC, I wrote a long ass rant review about this train wreck after all. 50 hours i will never get back 💀 As with Taehshim, the prob, if you wanna call it that, is that they are relatively fresh into their dating phase in which you only want to show yourself from the best side, and both want to shield the other from potential hurt (HS with her reluctance to let TH meet the gremlin, TH dealing with grandma/chaebol things on his own) It comes from a place of care definitely, but I hope they gonna be more open about unpleasant/sad things too, going forward .
