Currently In A Drama Hiatus

I agree with you they are so adorable:) Can you recommend me dramas with green flag ML I haven’t seen a lot…
It is from the also currently airing drama "May I Help You", which is very wholesome (if sad at times) too, highly recommend.

Green Flag ML's from dramas I have seen:

- May I Help You (ML is kind, goes the extra mile for people, high emotional intelligence/empathic and good good communication skills. Expressive, cares a lot and is always super bothered when FL is upset that he has to fix whatever he did wrong asap to feel at peace again xD Distant at times, which is due to trauma. Leads are adorable af together and help each other healing. Wholesome ML is wholesome:

https://www.tiktok.com/@dont_sue_rebecca/video/7164643836675788075?is_copy_url=1&is_from_webapp=v1)
-Love In Contrast (not the best drama but GYP is adorable as introvert oddball ML and his face journeys when FL does something are hilarious. Very caring about FL in his own ways. Has infuriating SML tho)
-Cheer Up (ML is so wholesome and such a good bf to FL, but alas the drama is terribad and a shitshow writing-wise. Just watch the haewoo romance scenes/shorts on youtube or tiktok instead. SML is super infuriating too)
-Extraordinary Attorney Woo (Do i need to elaborate? ML is green green flag but personally i find him too flat a character. There is no spiiiiiiice/depth to him other than "kind")
From Now On Showtime- Not the greenest flag at first glance as he is your resident tsundere and a big sulky baby/arrogant jerk at first but such a soooooftie and good caring cinnamon bun underneath all the bluster haha. Hilarious too and has such a satisfying character development over the course of the drama)
The Law Cafe (the leads have a mature relationship build upon communication, trust and consent, very loving too. ML goes at length for FL all thru the drama)
If You Wish Upon Me (Not the easiest drama watch as it takes place in a hospice that fulfills the last wishes of its patients and due ML being an abuse survivor, but all through this he remained the kindest soul and his romance with FL is so pure. Also Ji Chang Wook is so excellent in this role. Tearjerker, though)
Love All Play (Didn't like this drama as it veered into weird makjang family wangst halfway through and is waaay too gloomy for a teen/tween sport drama then, but ML is wholesome)

I think this is it, haha

I'm on the 5th episode and loving it so far. I just think the character arc is a bit superficial/fast-pacing.…
Thing is, Gyoe Re never actually *was* hard or callous, he just had to act the part in order to survive. Trauma coping mechanism, if you will. As soon he felt more comfortable and secure in his surroundings, he could stop the act and be himself, which is a soft, caring cinnamon roll who yearned to have a place to belong to and be appreciated/loved.

have yet to look closer at the trillion read ✅ but never replied to msg Chungha sent him , but as far as i have…
i have just too much time rn, and of course love for this drama is all that i rewatch/analyze the hell out of it, is all 😂😂😂 But still thank you, it is also interesting to find these little details they sprinkled in. There is so much of it haha. I mean sure it is just flavor text by the cast/crew or whatnot, but it is still so very in character. It suits them and i love they pay heed to that.

Oh and in episode 7, they talk via text about the picture of the granny and the boy she send right away/gave the herbal cigarettes to the boy later on for his dead granny, and she thanks Taehee for driving such a long distance for her, despite being sick. And Taehee replies with "No problem. I was just doing my job." Donjoo then says "But still, after driving for so long while being sick you should rest at home for a while." Taehee thanks her and tells her that he is feeling better (now.)

Which shows, Dongjoo always worries and cares for him, aww. It is just flavor text but it is still so cute and interesting <3

i just love how we are here collectively hate-watching this show at this point, lmao 🤣 (I get all the deeds about it on kdramatwt)

i love how 2022 is the year of ML green flags, ngl. This is a trend kdramas can gladly continue in 2023 as well. But in exchange they have dialed up the obnoxiousness and boundaries disregarding of second leads (female and male alike) alas. Could live without them being the worst example of not to treat a person they claim to have a crush on or call a friend, tho.

Anyways Siwan is adorable as heck as Dae Beom, so is as Seolhyun as Yeo Reum, and these introverted beans together are so sweet. Filial piety is one hell of a drug in SK (i understand it is a deeply ingrained cultural thing but dear god this girl deserves so much better than that) and this drama is after May I Help You my *second* soul-soothing comfort drama i am currently watching. I can't complain (much xD)

For those who think that this is the worst kdrama, you've definitely not seen "Oh My Ladylord" yet !
And Woori The Virgin, not to forgot My brain is still hurting from the utter badly written/acted/paced nonsense that was (Jane the virgin was so good tho)

yo im sry but when chung ha was shocked he didn't come to the restaurant that rly killed me i need her to go to…
The way she clung to her phone and kept looking at it expecting him to tell her he runs late or something. Just 💀 💀 💀 Honey. Darling. My Sweet Summer Child. HE NEVER REPLIED TO ANY OF YOUR 159 MESSAGES YOU SENT HIM IN THE SPAN OF 48 HOURS. EVER. (It is a miracle, TH has not blocked her tbh) How in this funny brain of yours have you deduced that he would come to sit down and have dinner with you (when he hadn't touched his favorite dish bc it was you who ordered his ADAJ service for lunch days prior) Like????

At this point it is not a hint of rejection. That was, when despite your inability to handle hot drinks, Taehee served you steaming HOT coffee (while asking DJ *if* she likes her coffee hot before making it an episode later, btw, lmao) upon you visiting him, uninvited. At this point, it is a white truck of REJECTION hitting you at full speed. Again! Jesus. It was so embarrassing to watch, honestly. I hope this sad sad person takes herself and her misery elsewhere now. I cannot handle much more secondhand embarrassment watching her. Dear god.

Yeeees. Donghee dating era incoming, at last. I cannot wait for them call me single in a myriad of ways, actually. THEIR CUTENESS....INJECT IT RIGHT INTO MY BLOODSTREAM, PLS 🤣 Please please please writers let them eat together, i beg you. We deserve it after all the ex incantation it did. And i hooooope for much holding haaaaaaands, intertwined, backside of hand kiss, all this cute shit bc it is what Dongjoo deserves after such a shitty ex bf. (and taehee is very aware, so i hope the man delivers haha)

Title May I Help You Spoiler
Idk if this was ever posted, but dear god i am so here for this regarding the second half of the drama and Donghee…
Looking to the drama’s second half, Hyeri chose Baek Dong Joo and Kim Tae Hee’s romance as a key point. “In part two, images of Tae Hee overcoming his wounds through Dong Joo will be drawn out. There will be a lot of Dong Joo and Tae Hee’s sweet moments in the second half. You’ll be able to watch with a fluttering heart.”

For the second half, Lee Jun Young asked viewers to focus on the changes in Dong Joo and Tae Hee’s relationship as a result of advice from those around them. He shared, “In the second half, you’ll officially be able to see the start of [Tae Hee’s] romance with Dong Joo and Tae Hee’s past, so it’ll be great if you look forward to it.”

And flutter my heart will, you can bet on THAT lmao. We also get more of Dongjoo's bg (YEEEEES) and the reason for her ability (YEEEEESSSSS) it seems:

Hyeri also teased a mysterious twist, sharing, “The reason why Dong Joo meets the dead and the truth behind the death of Joon Ho [Kim Ha Eon] will be revealed. The characters’ relationships are tangled like fate and there will be a twist as a result of the truth.”

Sharing secret affectionate glances with Dongjoo, i see 👁️👄👁️ Being in love looks good on the man, i swear. What a difference it is to the sad cookie Taehee had been just one and half episode prior. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

How is it so far? Much romance? Any love triangles?
(I mean i am biased because i love this drama and couple to pieces, but tell me i am wrong lol. )

The romance is one of the most wholesome, organic/natural bickering strangers to friends and (now) lovers progression i have seen in a kdrama. Nothing of it feels forced but rather it is like an outside-look on two people with a difficult past getting to know, appreciate and support each other, slowly but steady. The leads have/develop an innate understanding for each other, communicate well and clearly. And even if there are misunderstandings or misgivings, they work it out and address issues between them in a timely, mature manner instead of letting them linger and fester to resentment. They are also really fun together, like the chemistry between the actors is great and it shows in form of easy banter, cheeky flirting and an adorable awkwardness of two people in unsuccessful denial of their budding attraction to each other. They are the cutest, i swear.

It is not all smooth sailing of course, for several reasons you best watch yourself. But while there ARE spoilery hindrances to them coming to terms with their feelings for each other, it was never in question honestly. The question was always more WHEN than IF. I just wish the drama would STOP interrupting their lunch/dinner plans together lmao, especially now where we are entering the dating era. PLEASE LET THEM EAT, WRITERS 🤣

I have yet to watch TD, but this drama is/was the first where i came across Lee Je Hoon and i am super impressed…
Hmm, not yet, no. I have yet to find/get in the right mood to watch this kind of drama, as the ones i watch atm are quite heavy at times already. So i am more in the mood for fluff to balance it out. I will get to TD one of these days tho haha (tho in revenge of the others i already wince at the violent scenes, so i guess i have to brace myself even more for that one)

btw in the text messages between Dongjoo and Taehee (aka the scene where we see taehee's phone screen in eps 9),…
have yet to look closer at the trillion read ✅ but never replied to msg Chungha sent him , but as far as i have seen she tells him "come back and sleep at home" or similar in one of them. So TH really opted to sleep elsewhere as soon she moved in, so very unasked and unwanted. Can't blame him tbh, lmao

Similar like small town setting, or similar like "healing drama dealing with trauma etc?"

i am so sick of shitty second leads who constantly disregard the boundaries, comfort and wishes either of FL or…
Yeees, this was really wholesome. I want more of that and less of this bullshit. But 2022 is sadly the year where second leads don't give a shit about the comfort/boundaries of the person (either FL or ML) they have a crush on or even supposedly "love" This shitty toxic "i know what is best for you, not you" (despite the other even telling SL, often repeatedly) attitude has got to go from dramas again, ugh.
