Your perspective over Hoon sumps it up. Don't expect from him to be always understanding. He got his own insecurities…
Tbh I don't fault him for thinking she would sensationalize his medical "mistake" as seen in the preview. Because after she asked him to kiss another woman despite knowing of his feelings for her and without discussing the actual reason he is fully in his right to believe she would do anything for the show/her job. After all, he is no mindreader and FL really shit in communicating her motivations for doing something.

Aziz gotta be the best non Korean character I've come across. He blends right in and his Korean is top notch.
I read the actor got adopted by his Korean parents at age 15 from India (I think) so quite enough time for him to master the language 😉 But I love how they subverted viewers' expectation with his character 😁

Look at that. Watched ep 12 without wishing any harm on anyone and that ending happens.
I have war flashbacks and anxiety attacks whenever I see characters standing at the crosswalk about to cross the street. Because truck-kun is always waiting for a new victim, and the while the kdramaland cars have horns, they have no brakes at all.

Ah yes this is more what I expect of automated translations lol. Weird wording but still kinda readable 😁 Might clean it up later, if I find the time... Since it is always good practice for my Korean, hehe

She is just a typical spoke person for an entertainment company. When they release press releases about scandals…
But that second part was unplanned and fully for her own benefit tho? She veered off script because she wanted to push SE into HJ's arms and gloated about it to Jiho how he has no way of being with her now. Completely unprofessional

idk why but ML is so boring to me, people find it cute that he's super anti-social but he's so uninteresting as…
Introverted characters and people being misunderstood and labeled 'anti social' for being selective with social situations (because it drains us) and 'boring' for being thoughtful/quiet (because we only speak when it is needed not to fill silence)? Wow never seen that happening, what acompletely new situation 🤯🙄🤡

Does KHJ even understand Korean? Does he always have to wait for subs like most of us do to understand what Sang…
And it is subbed then by me, someone who has only had learned Korean for 8 months so far, so mistranslations are guaranteed 😂

I did not watch episode 12 because episode 11 was so $h!ty. This drama deserved only 12 episodes.
Episode 12 is much better tho. Jiho really steps up for his wife (and made me swoon)

Title Love Is for Suckers Spoiler
Some may think Ji Yeon is this sweet & innocent lady but I definitely think she's a psycho. She keeps confessing…
Yuuuup, that is exactly how it felt like... aka trying to pity her way into his heart. As i said before she is the kind of gal who smiles at you but strangles you in your sleep to get you out of her way. Very manipulative and steeped with toxic niceness. Yikes.

Title Love Is for Suckers Spoiler
I want to understand Yeo rum but I'm not very clear on her motivations, she said the kiss rattled her brain and…
I was commenting that on viki that i would like to understand her, because atm she just looks like a callous asshole. They are really amiss in showing as why she acts that way when she clearly has feelings for him. Scared? Sure, but she could communicate this to him instead to stomp on his heart and rip it to pieces. Several times in one episode even. I get that the problem is layered, but we are really lacking her pov and motivations outside the five minutes at the start which contradicts all her words and actions afterwards. Make it make sense, please.

This episode was an exercise in frustration, ngl. ML deserves better but that better does not mean clingy af SFL. "I still have a chance with you, if i stay." Guuurl you could do a handstand and dance samba with your feet, nothing would change.

Seriously what is up with all the delusional people in kdramas lately? First SML/SFL in Love In Contract now this fakeass idiot attempting to pity her way into ML's heart. Gaaaaawd.

should i watch ? if i'm watching for the story and for go kyung pyo ?
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Yes, but be patient with the drama as its story unfolds only slowly and it is very character focused (all will come together nicely later on tho) GKP may be second lead in theory, but in reality he plays an integral character to the plot/story and his friendship with both leads is front and center in past and present. He is an adorable *redacted for spoiler* boi in there, so go for it. (i wish i could wipe my memories of CT to watch it now with my newfound appreciation for GKP)

Yeeeeeah. Main plot is and remained dumb, incoherent and constantly forgets about furthering the leads' development…
I have only seen him in Chicago Typewriter thus far where he was a cutie but didn't leave as much of an impression as he did now with his leading role here. I definitely will go thru his filmography to watch more of him as he is a great, versatile actor.

I said a few weeks ago that the drama wasn't going in a good direction and that the characters are starting to…
Yeeeeeah. Main plot is and remained dumb, incoherent and constantly forgets about furthering the leads' development and story in favor of more stupid drama topped on the other, still unresolved one that puts the many annoying characters front and center instead of them. Characters who are delusional and never have heard the word "boundaries." Particularly SML is one of the most red-flagged, obnoxious and infuriating characters i have ever come across in a kdrama. And for some reason the writers thought it a great idea to add a female version of him in form of Jiho's equally delusional ex. It is a mess and a whole, but i am still holding out for the mains and especially Jiho, who deserves so much better than what the drama serves him with. Let my man be happy :(

Tho not gonna lie, GKP's back must be hurting from carrying the whole messy drama and this even where he has far too little screentime. I miss Jamie the cat as well. Sne knew what was up from the start in hating SML. Such a smart kitteh, always trust a cat's instinct.

Did you feel "the Steam kiss " scene in the couch? because when they kissed I started to have goosebumps...but…
Yes, it was a great scene in a great five minute long episode . Love this short format this drama offers me. Saves me a lot of time. (😂)

ji ho's character is kinda annoying. i don't think they really love each other. it will be good if jamie ends…
Lol, okay. For me HJ is one of the reddest flag that ever flew over kdramaland. He never takes no for an answer, disregards every boundary, inserts himself into FL's life without asking or regard for her wishes because "she is his first love and he has found her now again so he won't let her go" Which is not only desperate and pathetic, but also really *really* creepy by now. Especially the delusional fantasy of how she will love him in the end if he just does not stop trying to woo her that stands in such stark contrast of reality and everything she tells him. From which he only hears what and warps her words until they suit the narrative he has build up in his head.

ALL THE RED FLAGS. ALL OF THEM.

He needs therapy, not a relationship. In fact, he should actually stay faaaaaar faaaar away from one until he has worked through all his psychological issues with professional help, gets away from his equally toxic family and rectified his egocentric, childish behavior instead to baggage a partner with his myriads of problems. No one deserves to be dragged into that toxicity and drama (like he has unfortunately already done with Sangeun), tbh.

Title The Law Cafe
Episode 15. Are the police in Korea that incompetent? Or is it just bad writing?
kdrama police is chronically incompetent in order to make a situation more complicated, dramatic and dangerous as it realistically needed to be, yeah.

Title The Law Cafe
Was LSG forced to do this drama because of his character in Mouse???Probably. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone…
tbh, it is a romance/slice of life first and the law and other plot points are only there to support the romance, character development and furthering the story of the leads who are front and center to the drama's narrative. It never was or tried to be a classic law drama (with court cases and the like) either. That is just a minor side-dish at best in relevance/as bg for both leads.
