Yeeeeah she frustrates me a lot as she is much more a plot tool for the writers to throw around like they need her instead a fully realized, consistent character with their own boundaries and agency. Which would explain the extreme flip-flopping on so many things, Especially with SE it is very obvious that the drama writers force the characters to fit whatever situations they have cooked up instead to write the situations to be organically in line with their actions, motivations etc. It is quite jarring to watch, particularly in today's episode.

Tbh, it was needed for both to be angry in order to air out all the grievances that happened in such quick succession. And in the future i actually would like to see them working through their issues and face their difficulties together as a couple, instead each on their own.

Same here, so i HOPE it is similar (and is the vibe i am getting from it) but we only know for sure when it airs of course. I could use a new supernatural comedy drama since they are rather rare these days. Prayer circle that it is not a bad/boring drama (like cafe minandang turned out to be lol)

Wow, that was a nice three minutes episode with the leads in the car, i loved it. I am too grossed out by the rest and how badly the writers handled the situation and everything involving this complete shitbird of a SML, so i suppressed it happening tbh. Also:

Ugh. The writers really could take a page or rather the whole damn book out of how The Law Cafe handles consent tbh. In fact, a whole bunch of romance dramas could and should learn from this show and the importance it places on mutual consent

Oh i agree. But as said i have rarely seen a more "one-sided" love triangle where the lines and emotions are as clearly defined from the start ...and it is only SML who is up in la la land about it. That being said, i really hope Sangeun sets him straight and some boundaries asap, so he stops seeing things that are obviously not there. Like this, lol:

That's because he is ML and HaeJin is not. Easy kdrama rule that ML gets more attention, always. But where I agree is that the show is wrongly marketed as love triangle when it is just SML bruteforcing his way into FL's life while she is busy thinking about/crushing on ML and doesn't show a sliver of interest in SML as romantic partner. The thing that kept both leads apart was never SML but their past traumas and ensuing trust issues from this. Now where they have committed to each other SML still interferes bc he has proven time and time again he gives not a shit about what FL wants, nor respects her boundaries even in the slightest. KJY is a good actor and all the best to him, but KHJ is a trash character and egoistic, toxic manchild 🤮

Tbh that is the best way to enjoy this show. Even more when you ignore the makjang like main plot with madame yoo. I honestly watch the show only for the main leads many shenanigans and misadventures in falling in love and social situations (in jiho's case), and FL's bestie 😁

Just a love triangle on the paper, FL has ML only on the brain from the start and never stops. ML falls or rather realizes having fallen for her much more slowly than her.... but then all the harder hehe. SML is basically only there to cockblock, to push ML into action, and to have a grand romance with FL... in his head 🤣 In no way or any moment is he seriously in consideration as a LI for FL and it is honestly just a matter of time until ML/FL get together now. They have the married part covered already, after all 😏

SML is useless in this show outside of some good comedic moments with Jiho and the cat together. So you won't miss much if you skip his solo scenes, because he is only there to push Jiho into realizing his feelings and to be a foil to with his rich family drama to FL that however falls flat for me. (His fam is as annoying as he is lmao and his delusion of FL being interested in him stops being funny quickly too. The drama does make the attempt to make SML more sympathetic later on, but for me all attempt is already ruined due to him using his bg similarities with FL to strongarm her into a contract with him in best/worst manipulative sob story manner. Ugh.
