Do watch it and form your own opinion. It is my all time fave and i liked the ending. It made sense if you care to look a little deeper. However i would not skip on it just because of strangers' opinions on the internet. Just see for yourself if you like it or not. Always the best option.

From Now On Showtime, a super fun mystery/supernatural/fantasy/comedy/romance genre mix drama with a chaotic lovable otp/characters that just finished airing a few weeks ago. It sadly flew under (almost) everyone's radar due to shitty/lack of marketing/promo. It is from the same writer of "Mystic Pop Up Bar", so if you liked this drama you will feel right at home with it. FNOS is one of my faves (if not THE fave) from this year and now on my top 3 in general. No whales, sadly, but a lot of ghost shenanigans and otherworldly quirkiness. I loved it so much that it ending put me in a drama slump... until EAW came along, that is. More info/things about it:

Yeah, she totally nails it and is the right person for the role. I said it before but the only other actress regarding acting capabilities i would trust with such a role is Shin Hye Sun.

I was tempted for a hot second to pick it up after all since it is a reincarnation love story like in From now on showtime, which i loved to bits. But then i remembered that unlike in FNOS, the FL is a literal teen (of age, but still young af) So yikes lol.

EAW Road to 20k watchers, whale edition 🐋(aka dream big😏) It has become my fave current airing drama in record time tbh. I like AoS but it (continues to) fail(ed) to grab me emotionally like EAW and Link did right from the start, if i am honest. Still miss the april/may dramas like sh**ting stars and FNOS as i had a blast with both.

Oh i *like* AoS, the problem is more that i don't LOVE it lol. Despite all attempts and efforts on my side I am not crazy about this drama as people are here on MDL. And this frustrates me, lol, since i had expected it to be, for it has a lot of tropes/genres i like. Alas for me there is a disconnect with it for some unknown reason and it failed to grab me emotionally due to that. (Maybe bc the cinematography is too polished and the story too fantasy rpg videogame formulaic? I dunno but it feels like i have seen that type of story before way too often as a gamer of many decades, lol) Hence AoS is to me just an okay and entertaining drama i kill some time with at the weekend, but not the kdrama masterpiece people make it out to be, at least for me. Lol.
I love Link, it is like my second fave airing drama for very different reasons than EAW which quickly has become my number one due to its warmth/heart and wholesomeness. Outside of these three i only watch Jinxed At First atm (which is an okay, fun drama to kill time with) from the current airing ones. Dropped/put a lot on hold so I play a lot more catching up with older dramas atm than watching all the airing ones like i did a month or two before 🤣 Yay for promoting FNOS tho, as it needs/deserves all the love as underappreciated as it has remained, alas 😔

Oh, same for me with 2125 (i finished it with a lot of ffw-ing tho) , but sadly also the same for AoS. I like it well enough and will continue to watch it for the leads, but don't get the hype about it and skip quite a few scenes per episode as they bore me/drag too much. Wish it was otherwise and i could love it like it had loved FNOS and tbh i am angry at myself/sad that i feel such disconnect with it as i expected to love it ....but i just do not. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (I have found Extraordinary Attorney Woo is my FNOS replacement as airing drama instead which i love with my whole heart four eps in, tho)

You forgot to add a "for me" here, since these things are always subjective. Personally i love ATLA a looooot, but i continue to be just mildly entertained by AoS, not more. Definitely not MY/the best kdrama i have watched ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But hey YMMV and that is okay. I just hate general statements like that, is all. Lol.
Kinda wish i could see what others here see in this drama, but AoS seems to be another 2125 case for me as a drama that fails to grab me, alas. Aka where everyone is raving about it how it is the best thing ever, but i am just mildly entertained by it at best, and skip a lot of scenes because they draaaaaaag or simply cannot bring myself to care. Oh well, still love the leads tho, so i am holding out for their dynamic and romance. But for me it is just an okay drama, nothing more.

The writer/producers of EAW didn't want anyone but PEB to play the role of WYW, so they were willing to wait for her and postponed the production for a year, where PEB was asked again and she accepted it eventually.
