Yo friend, good decision because this drama is just all kinds of wholesome and cured me of my weekslong FNOS has…
Oh that is my hope for sure too. It is what he deserves, especially after staying with his shit agency for so long who treated him badly/like a cashcow only. Here is hoping for awesome scripts for him, in the quality of the kind EAW is/FNOS was 🤞🤞🤞

How did you know?
I care like minus 2000000 percent for BTS and kpop in general but it is nevertheless a good promo for the drama 👀

While randomly watching on YouTube shorts,I just came across attorney woo shorts. OMG I was so excited to know…
Yo friend, good decision because this drama is just all kinds of wholesome and cured me of my weekslong FNOS has ended sadness tbh. Since I finally found another drama I cannot wait to see the next episodes of, instead of watching airing dramas with mild interest only. I bet you will enjoy this 😊

I think they are full on Gay for each other, and if we go by min woo's disheveled look then, they're quite passionate…
Good, I was too 😏😝😂

Why is no one talking about the wish to see Park Jin and Maidservant Kim ending up together? Like PLEASE MAKE…
My mind autocorrected Park Jin to Park Hae Jin and it let me hella confused for a whole moment haha

what I found surprisingly hilarious was the fact that Yul loses sense of direction when he is surprise lol he…
I really love small quirks like that, it adds a lotta characterization.

I think you took the wrong turn or confused your browsing tabs for something else, because this is not FFN or Ao3, tho, lmao

If you're tired of all the things you mentioned then it might just not be for you. I gave the show a 9 because…
Ooooh happy to hear. Yeah, the execution and way elements fit together is imo the most important thing, more so than inventing the wheel anew. I love stories where you notice the heart and care that went into creating it and imo that is the case with this drama, on both accounts. (Then again it bundles up all the tropes i love in one drama and uses them well with added quirkiness, so i am biased here haha) Hope you enjoy the rest of this wacky supernatural, wild ride thru past and present *fingergun*

i really liked the first half, the chemistry between the mc was amazing and the male actor is so attractive and…
I suppose it is hard to argue against personal preferences with ML's personalities if arrogant, cold ML’s are your thing, but tbh, Chawoong has been a nice bean who cared about people and longed to belong, right from the start. It is just that he didn't allow himself and pretended not to and became comfortable to keep ppl at arm's length. After what happened to his grandpa with people turning on him faster than a flag in a storm, it is understandable how he adapted this money over people mindset (bc money can't betray you) and uses arrogance and caustic, sardonic behavior to keep people away and him from being hurt/harmed as his grandpa was. Conceal, don't feel. The distance he put up was as much a matter of survival/coping mechanism as it was payback (swindling money out of ppl with his magic tricks aka ghost seeing abilities they condemned his grandfather for)

There are several scenes in the first episodes alone that show that Chawoong is not as much of a jerk as he WANTS people to believe he is. And Seulhae probably is the first person who looked past that well-practiced act of his, empathized with him and read him like an open book like no other had done or was able to before (for good reasons, as we know) Every time we see him smile, particularly in the first episodes, it is because of her. No amount of bickering and pretending to be a cold, callous man toward her can change that fact.

It is part of his character development and of the bigger story that he lets go of the bitter, jaded way of thinking and recognizes the value of trusting and helping people. Which he does, around the halfway point of the story (that drunk talk with Choi is still one of my fave CW moments,) also thanks to Seulhae around him. Imo, this makes the relationship of them so beautiful. She gets under his skin and past his defenses without even trying. Piece by piece she make him feel understood and accepted in such a profound way he ends up reevaluating his pov on the world and people around him. But she does not change who he is as a person. He had always been a sweet cinnamon roll (if a sulky, slightly childish and petty one xD) and I love how PHJ portrays CW’s depth with subtle gestures/expressions in between the much more louder bluster. Besides, people putting on the air of being uncaring, blasé as he does are always the ones who care the most, haha. And this is what his actions contradicting his insistent and many loud words of protest always prove as well. Sure there are moments in the drama where he was that overly sweet and plain weird “lover” guy due to prior plot events (eps 12/13), but even here finds Seulhae a way to set him straight quickly and he returns to his normal self, just without the need for all the sardonic behavior anymore.

I love his character so much because not in spite of the change, of him gradually becoming more considerate, more kind again as he used to be to people. Of him gaining the courage to emotionally open up again despite his bad past experiences that influenced him so much. He is more than meets the eye indeed.

If i ever come around to actually video-edit, i really want to make a vid about Chawoong's development from first to last episode, because there is a lot and a world of difference. But a difference that doesn't come out of nowhere as you may believe, as it had always been there, hidden below the hurt/experience of the past.

Anyway thanks for coming to my FNOS character ted talk, been a while since i last did that, lol.

I didn't change my mind, 11-16 are a snoozefest, fast forwarded 12-16.
Lol, same here. I still love romcoms, but i think i am now at the point where i need more than just that to watch 16 eps, aka a genre mix with a "bigger" plot and broader narrative (like my faves Mr. Queen, From Now On Showtime, Dali And The Cocky Prince, Vincenzo, and Crazy Love have, for example.) This drama was cute, but got boring and very draggy in the last six eps.

I actually just started it too since it was staring at me from my Viki homepage the whole time and it's been on…
I finally finished it after two months, but outside the well-done skinship scenes and some comedy from the actors, especially the last 6 episodes had been a horrible draaaaaaag. I skipped like 80% of the scenes after their backstory was revealed and done with, tbh. Overall, I enjoyed it more than Business Proposal acting-wise, particularly PJS as CEO was more believable and wholesome in the end. I really liked his character development, warmth and open affection for FL throughout, while PMY well, her character had a stick up her ass all the way thru and was a rather rigid and boring FL till the end scene. Some may call it dignified or elegant, I just call it lifeless. I take a more chaotic Seulhae or Mudeok over that cold, robotic "elegance" as FL any time of the day. And I HAAAAATED how she kept calling him by his title, even after spending the night with him. God this is one of my biggest pet peeves in romcom dramas outside of noble idiocy tbh. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

This drama could have gained a lot from a 12 episodes format. or maybe i am just over the point where i can watch 16 episodes of pure romcom bc the meager plot kept boring me, especially toward the end. Romance is still my go-to genre to watch in kdrama, but by now I very much prefer my romance now packaged in a genre mix with other things also going on than as a standalone thing like this was. It was charming in a way and i had a good time at times, but i feel it is also overhyped regarding its quality. Certainly not the must-watch classic kdrama people make out of it. It simply has not enough going on, pseudo mystery childhood plot notwithstanding.

Someone please recommend me their favorite love triangle drama of 2022 or 2021! My food is getting coldd ah
From Now On Showtime is not overt love-triangle-y but it plays a role until eps 9-10, and even beyond that due to spoilery shared past reasons (very one-sided then from SML, however) It is a fun drama to watch in general if you want something in the comedy/fantasy/mystery/supernatural/romance genre mix like Hotel Del Luna, Mystic Pop Up Bar and to a lesser degree Alchemy Of Souls (since this drama is way more fantasy heavy than the others.)

f both #TeamWoong and #TeamBabi, I want my girl Yumi to stay single
Lol, with how things are now, this would the best solution indeed😆
On Yumi's Cells Season 2 Jul 9, 2022
I have YC2 on hold, but regarding the spoilers i read here, i think i am much closer to dropping it by now than to invest another six hours of my life into it. I think i will give it another week and decide then. Too many other good kdramas to watch, tbh. Still a pity bc i started off really loving the second season, but oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I tried, it was rejected, the volunteer admins have become ridiculous when it comes to contributions
Oh i getcha, it still makes no sense to me however. I had the last reaction a couple of times too when an edit was rejected but oh well, my life doesn't depend on it being accepted nor the pages being (not) improved. Their loss, lol.

The whole AoS trolling was effin stupid, especially for THIS reason, but i guess that is MDL for you (imo the rating is way too high now. It is an entertaining drama, but nothing special deserving to be almost in the 9.0 range, but oh well that is just me, lol) As you may remember, From Now On Showtime also got downvoted at the start/middle, bc Park Hae Jin dared to play a jerk in a role six years ago (Cheese in the trap) and people are too inapt to differentiate the actor from his roles, ugh.

At least we got the tags "slow burn romance" and slight (nothing slight about it imo) romance that signify something going on into this direction, if they remain unrepentant in adding it as genre tag. ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ

is there an interesting plot alongside the romance part?i don't like watching dramas if there's not much going…
Personally i watch this drama for the main characters and their dynamics, which is really fun (as is the budding romance.) I really don't care about the plot/worldbuilding much, which may seem fresh for a kdrama (pure fantasy historical settings are quite rare in kdramaland) but feels to me like one of these just okay fantasy rpgs i have played too many times lol.
