Saaaame, dreamy, saaame :D I may not watch both shows with the same eagerness i did have for FNOS but they are…
Heh, same *highfives back* As much i love friends to lovers there is something about two completely different ppl having to find a common ground which then grows to supporting each other, then to love. I love complex dynamics like that, especially if it is developed in a slow but sensible manner. AoS has that and interesting worldbuilding that reminds me of Avatar: the airbender lol. I like how this show has a historical setting that is free from the constraints of korean history bc it is fully fictional. However a lot of it still makes my eyes glaze over, so while i am like nice as i am watching it, you won't ever find me theorizing how this world or magic etc works. I am just here for Mudeok's and Jang Uk's story (plus the two friends) Everything else is fully on take or leave it- meh basis haha for me.
I love Link for its slow build and examination of trauma the different forms of gendered violence causes. It does that really well as it stays close and personal with the characters. It is a journey, if you will from the cause of trauma to living with it/moving on from it as best as possible. Love the slow burn romance of the leads too, as it is also their story of healing, of learning to trust again <3 So yeah i love these two shows, but i still miss FNOS, which will be a drama i keep coming back to for comfort, like i already do with Mr. Queen, tbh.
Dunno if you have watched it, but I have just finished watching the first two episodes of Extraordinary Attorney Woo and i am amazed how charming, wholesome and well done this drama is. I normally hate law dramas as they are boring meeeeeee to tears but this one is just created with so much heart and charm and the acting is top-notch. Highly recommend to check it out, even if the genre is normally not your thing. I had not expected to like it so much, it made me smile the whole time.
Joon Ho was a goner seeing her in that wedding 👰dress🤣🤣🤣 I kinda think that he' must have had a younger/…
I have seen a lot of stunned by FL's beauty scenes in kdramas by now (I looooove this trope ngl) but Joon Ho tops them all. It looked like he was in a whole different sphere where he heard the angels singing when she came out in that dress 🎶 😂 The pure and destilled personification of heart eyes indeed, hahahaha 🤣😏
What strikes me is how differently the one lawyer colleague and ML treated WYW in the second episode. Like with that one colleague his interactions and reactions was always with no small amount of annoyance and with a belittling undertone (apologizing to the client for her, feeling embarrassed for her) Whereas LJH takes and respects her as she is, out of the blue whale talks and all. (These scenes were so 🤭) He is not annoyed by it in the slightest but rather amused in a non belittling 'oh this is charming' kind of way. He gives her space, is patient and doesn't correct or touches her like the other guy did. And gosh then *that* wedding dress scene where he was stunned with starry eyes and openmouthed by her. Hahaha in love indeed.
I just looooove how they are handling the build up of their relationship so far. Really well done and fitting to the characters. Can't wait to see more of them, and everything else, of course.
Yes, very cute so far, but just as I was afraid they lost me there with FL's believability as an attorney (or…
I would argue that no matter the field or occupation if you are new at your job you are bound to mess up along the lines. Simply due to the lack of routine, experience and so many new things to regard (colleagues, clients and battling your own nervousness/perfectionism, etc) That routine only comes with time/repetition so i actually liked they showed WYW being nervous to the point of not speaking up and small things like this that were far from being perfect. Because it is all a process that needs a bit of time, until you have settled in into your job.
It feels like part of the story from the get go, especially how they introduce ML. He is already vibing a lot with her and her way of thinking from the get go. Adding the romance tag doesn't mean it is about romance only but that it is part of the story and imo, here it is.
I just watched the first episode and i already love everything about this drama? Which is saying much because normally law-themed dramas bore me to sleep (latest case was Why Her, here, whoops.) Not this one tho, as it is oozing with charm, heart, quirkiness (in a good, non-mocking way) and extraordinary (pun intended) acting. I expected no less from Park Eun Bin tbh and yet she totally amazed me. She is living this role and everything about it feels authentic and fitting to the character. ML is such a cutie too who is totally vibing with her already and her way of thinking (mentioning whales, the way her name is the same forward and backward, the waltzing thru the revolving door with her together. I love small things like that and a smart, empathic guy) To think I planned on skipping on this drama at first, because i feared they would make a mockery out of autism/neurodivergent people or play it for laugh.... well i am positively surprised and pleased to find it not being the case. Hope it keeps it up and we get to see a lot more of Woo Young Woo and her wonderful mind/character.
Now onward to the second episode and then, sadly playing the waiting game along with everyone else here hehe.
I am going to check out Link because of your comment above, ☺️. I can’t stand waiting for new episodes of…
No problem, happy to help <3 I think if you liked Hotel Del Luna and like Alchemy of Souls, you will feel at home with these two dramas too, since they fall into the same genre-mixing supernatural/fantasy category with romance on top. (FNOS far more than MPUB where it is more in the bg)

Aww thanks. HDL has become one of my faves too. MPUB is more in the direction of Tomorrow, if less grim and with comedic moments. It is available on netflix or alternative streaming sites *wink wink nudge nudge* Whereas FNOS is an off the wall comedy, mystery, a hint of thriller/supernatural creepiness, romcom mix with lovable characters, and probably my fave from 2022 (along with Crazy Love, so far.)
Both are from the same writer so you can find common elements and themes like reincarnation/past lovers, overcoming/challenging fate, "conceal don't feel" protagonists (aka prickly on the outside but soft inside), found family, second chances, ghostly shenanigans, destined love, and a lot of quirkiness/chaotic situations, and heart in both of these dramas.
It's amazing how I love all the characters in this, their dynamics all are just so interesting to watch.I love…
Saaaame, dreamy, saaame :D I may not watch both shows with the same eagerness i did have for FNOS but they are very enjoyable still. While I watch Link in full, in AoS i do have still elements where my eyes glaze over and/or i ffw (the mage guild scenes and the whole political court crap isn't really interesting to me) but the main leads and their complex dynamic do even that out hehe. I love them and their slow shift to something beyond friendship, which is done in a slow and believable way. I mean their bickering already made Lee believe they are married so who am i to disagree haha.

Can also recommend to pick up "From Now On Showtime", "Hotel Del Luna" and Mystic Pop Up Bar if you need some good fantasy (romcom) dramas to bridge the waiting time hehe.
Can anyone recommend me a cute and light student drama like Dear M?
Weightlifting Fairy KBS, School 2017 and True Beauty (haven't watched yet but is very popular) Also maybe you find something new/more under those filters:
Master Lee: "What is your relationship to each other? Are you married?"Mudeok and Jang Uk at the same time: Nooooo!Mudeok…
Favorite bit lmao. And I continue to stick around for the leads while ffw thru the boring political crap. The whole souls and magic stuff is a take or leave for me too, not terribly interested in the in and outs of it either tbh. I'm here for a selected few of the characters (ml/fl plus the two friends) bc they are damn fun to watch. In this regard the episode was excellent as we did spent a lot of time with these two dorks and I loved that. Especially how subtly their relationship keeps shifting more and more to something beyond master/pupil and even friendship. That is well done imo
Master Lee: "What is your relationship to each other? Are you married?" Mudeok and Jang Uk at the same time: Nooooo! Mudeok and Jang Uk: *continue to bicker* Master Lee: Ah, they must be married 😏
Hello, does anyone know if the drama will follow the webtoon ending or there a chance not to?
That is quite the question atm, as it looked for a long time that it would deviate from the webtoon with giving babi a lot of SR's scenes but the last two made a sharp turn back to the webtoon version. So it can go either way atm, which is why I have put the drama on hold for the time being, so I can decide later on if it worth my time investment.
havent checked out the comment section of this drama for a while.. what happened? this drama is nice.. everyone…
It's story is nothing that special but i still like it a lot since it is a cute comfort-y romcom watch and not boring me (unlike the similar Legend of the blue sea did, whoops) This drama is kinda like chocolate, sweet and comforting but does not last long heh.
