Really wonder what it takes to get back up to 8.5 tho? All the numbers show 8.5 again, but then again i really don't understand the rating system here lmao
Annoying how hey used an hour for what could have been solved in 10 minutes tops in episode 5 tbh. Too many flashbacks and filler, but at least closure in the end 🔚
Kwon Soo Hyun described “Café Minamdang” as a comma, explaining, “‘I think ‘Café Minamdang’ is a…
Lbr, this drama is basically FNOS but with good promotion and netflix support hehe. But yeah also my reason why i am looking forward to it. No other show has hit and caught me like FNOS so far, so i am still a bit in a k-drama slump😔(Jinxed at first is cute but not more rn. Link probably comes closest atm but still no cigar. Alchemy of souls is wonderfully weird but also confusing as heck, so yeeeeah)
It is cute and entertaining in a way that it holds my attention long enough to watch a couple of episodes a day,…
Aaaand i was right. I am on episode 12 now and bored out of my mind since the plot is so thin and everything goes in circles and/or is drawn out to fill episodes with not much happening. Guess i will either have to put it on hold or on 2x speed to get the remaining eps watched.
Ahhh I just finished the drama and thank god ur comment seem to have my doubt which is eating my head .. what…
yeah the kid even did Choi's signature move (the blowing kiss hand) to clue the viewers in that Maru really is the general's reincarnation. Aka another round in the mortal realm till nirvana can be reached, lol. No wonder Woong was shocked lmao.
honestly i didn't like na in woo in Mr. Queen that much but he looks SO SOFT here 😭
I didn't like his character at all either in Mr. Queen but the ACTOR is actually a cutie. I enjoy seeing him in positive, smily roles such as River where the moon rises where he is super adorable. Same for this drama here tbh :D
I put it on hold a while ago, bc the drama is so dense in plot/exposition/character schemes and i really didn't have had the mind for this at the time. Imagine my surprise now that it concluded with a happy non-tragic ending, even. Nice. All the more a reason to get the drama back on my CW list soon, if as a slow-watch.
The ending got me lmao but im glad we had a happy ending
i loved how they parodied the romcom break up trope. Totally played with the viewers' expectation when in truth ML was just an overdramatic super-extra muffin about it all xD
Ah yes, that rating bombing brings back memories of how haters did the same to From Now On Showtime after the same amount of episodes, bc its ML Park Hae Jin dared to play his role as jerk in CITT convincingly SIX years ago. Thus ppl confused/still confuse the actor for the character played, since drama is *obviously* real life instead of fictional and the actor really like that IRL instead of doing as told, since it is his job.
Anyway, never change MDL you adorable, little pissbaby (☞゚∀゚)☞
Just let us silly people like silly thing, we are not sophisticated intelligent creature like your ass. Where…
Certainly. With all that grass touched, lemme remark tho that It was way more about the way you portrayed your opinion here than anything else. Aka try not to barge into the room and shit on the table, maybe?
Like you do know that it is possible to give your opinion without being a condescending ass about how a super-unrelated and not comparable drama is sooooo much better/ more *profound* than this one, and how dare ppl like things you don't/didn't like, right? ( https://rb.gy/egw0lq )
Not really that hard to do either. You may wanna try it sometime. (☞゚∀゚)☞
Lmao, with that end it is confirmed the writer basically copied season one of JTV 1:1 (BADLY, i might add), slapped a bit of korean flavor on it and called it a day without even *considering* that it would be the whole effin drama instead of starting season one of a show. The writer never adapted JTV to fit a 14 eps drama format and/or was too inept to, in the first place. Hence everything within makes no frikkin sense, neither characters nor plot, and it all became a hot mess.
I’m confused with the stalker’s sister’s behavior. Like did she know her little brother is bad
They are both nutcases, so i don't think she will mind that little fact of him being a murderous stalking psycho. She rather gives off the vibe that she would join instead of stop him in this endeavor... happily i might add. 😬 😬 😬
The FL is for the moment(ep. 2) so annoying that I am wondering whether I should drop it. Does she get any better?
Short answer: Yes, because gradual character development is a thing in this drama.
Long Answer: Never understood the annoyance with Seulhae, even not in the beginning. Like Chawoong she has many facets to her character, even from the start. She is a very lively character: Loud, brash, chaotic, a bit impulsive and quirky, which is contrasted with her kindness/empathy (no one reads/understands CCW as well as she does), strong sense of justice, and a humanizing vulnerability. The moral compass of the group, if you will. JKJ does a fantastic job to bring Seulhae to life tho, flaws, quirks, adorableness and it all.
This is not aimed toward you but a general observation, when FL's are falling from the norm of being "nice, meek and perfect in every possible way/in everything they do" they are quick to being hated by the viewers. Much of a double standard too as ML is allowed all these things named above and to fuck up without problems and drawing the viewers ire.
She has had every right to be suspicious of CCW, as from her POV he is a nutcase trying to get out of being convicted. Like who would believe in ghosts just because he told her so? Naturally she doubts him. Also she is allowed or should be to be wrong about it, or to be loud and impulsive/too quick to jump at a conclusion etc. Without flaws there is no character development after all and the character remains stale and boring. Said development happens gradually and subtly in the drama (as it does for CCW and others) but you gotta watch on to see it happen, of course. You will understand why she is how she is as the story goes on. (same for chawoong btw) I advice ya to stick around till end of eps 5 or better yet 6 with the resolution of that story arc between the leads, as there is a lot of backstory coming your way the next few episodes. If you don't like Seulhae at this point in time then, well, then i guess it is your loss.... err you probably never will xD
I haven't watched it yet, can you tell me if the og version also has a crime plot ?
Yeeah that sums it up. Woori is basically a poorly executed half-season of JTV with half-baked plot points, characters and relationships (family and romantic)

It has been a long while for me since i watched it, but the crime plot is the overarching plot over the seasons yeah. In there it makes sense tho, in its quirky over the top way. (The whole show is never taking itself too seriously.... unlike Woori. It is basically taking the piss on telenovela tropes and owning them in a self-aware way at the same time.) Characters and relationships have due to the longer runtime over seasons of course way more room to breathe and grow. Mari aka Petra for example is still one of my fave in it, going from one-dimensional evil ex to lovable character you cheer on in the end.
Woori made the mistake that its story lingered far too long on unimportant shit in the middle of it, and then went on to emulate JTV's plot with FL going back and forth between the two LI's 1:1 in the end without regarding that unlike JTV, this drama doesn't have the sufficient runtime/nor capable writing to explore the events of the OG. So this is why ended up being a hot mess with characters changing their mind every few seconds and not a single plot point within brought to a satisfying conclusion.

3/10 if i am being generous.
