After 10 episodes my verdict is meh. It is one of these dramas you watch to kill some time between the days until the better ones air. Pacing is still weird, the acting subpar from all cast and it's story well, how are they supposed to end it coherently in just four episodes left? Feels like an impossible endeavor tbh.
Yeah, it is mildly entertaining but overall meh is the best way to describe my feelings about it.
Prereleased scene of episode 15 and chaseul family making plans (gone wrong) 🤣https://twitter.com/luvnism/status/1535430648294277121?t=_QNrlmsP2nznBYKbFq5ZIw&s=19
Chawoong was trying to be romantic and Seulhae chose violence hahahaha. I love that they now have a love theme WITHIN their love theme when things get suggestive... the music playing then cracks me up every time xD
While i appreciate all these interviews coming out... aren't they like two months too late with that promotional…
Yeah true. FNOS seems to gain at least a bit of traction lately, since the new viki clips of the drama uploaded a day or two have around 2-5k clicks already, the older ones posted one or two months ago have as many views in total, if at all. Sleeper "hit" maybe? Heh we will see. But like with Crazy Love where it took months after airing to reach a certain popularity with ppl thanks to disney plus non-existing promotion, i think FNOS could be similar here, in time.
Chaseul is a sweet slow burn romance which develops organically along the growth of the mains as characters. FL Go Seul Hae reads him like an open book from the get go and calls him out on his bs when needed. ML Chawoong finds with her someone who empathizes with his situation/bg and understands him for the first time in his life. Someone who does not give up on him no matter how often he puts up his "sardonic/mean front" to keep ppl from getting close to him .... and she gets under his skin in more ways than one.
They are one of these "I trust you and would lay my life down for you in a heartbeat, but i won't say im in love bc I AM NOT denial lvl 9000" ml/fl's for a long time too haha. Both have high adorkable and chaotic energy, and a dumb/dumber synergy at times as well as bickering like a long married couple dynamic. Which given the (mid-drama) main plot around these two may not be so far from the truth 😏 Most of all tho they are super adorable together and i love how openly/candidly they tackle issues arising between them, especially later on.
The plot looks nice but I don't like the actor... Do you guys think the drama is worth it ? Can it make me ignore…
If your dislike is based on the rumors being still spread over a decade later, you may want to reevulate your feelings as they has been proven false.... which had been talked about here further down in this comment section at length. Same for this whole old-ass cheese in the trap controversy. He had been done so dirty by the PDs and was practically written out of that drama bc main writer had a huuuuge, creepy crush on SML.
But let me put it in another way: I didn't even know Park Hae Jin before I started to watch this drama and he won me over with his acting skills. This man has raaaaange and an impeccable comedic timing. Helps that he is easy on the eyes too, of course (which was a case of "the more i saw him the more attractive i found him" instead of instant heart eyes btw) but his charismatic portrayal of Cha Chawoong was what sold me on the drama. CCW is a character veering between jerk with a hidden heart and dumbass dork and he manages it to make such a disparate duality charming instead of annoying. And that is good acting, tbh. Tho everyone in this drama is damn good in it, admittedly. So give it a go, maybe? It may surprise ya ;)
Two of my fave dramas of this year end on this weekend (sh**ting stars, from now on showtime) and i am not ready for this amount of emotional damage (ಥ﹏ಥ)
Same to meee:( It happens only on Fridays ㅠㅠ Saturdays it works without problems
Weird. It is the first time i am running into these problems on either day tho. Ah well, gotta wait like everyone else for the subbed version i guess :(
Yeah i picked it back up after putting it on hold and hoped to connect with it at last. But after three more eps…
Because this is my first life is very character and slice of life heavy drama, hence why i picked it as example. Not sure if you can call it introspective but i would say yes, as it is slow in pace too and very focused on a few characters and their thoughts/feelings/development. And with that drama i had at least the feeling to get somewhere in the end/be on a journey, instead of, well, only watching people eat and droning about their unchanging everyday far too often lol.
Bonus: It is a Lee Min Ki drama too as he is the eccentric, stoic ML of it. So rewarding to see him thawing more and more over the course of the drama and the cat is the cutest, lol. Some parts of it are meh (the secondary on off couple is so unhealthy ahd i would categorize FL's actions toward the end as bad writing) but i quite liked how it shows the growth of ML/FL (together and individually) and it also deals with some social issues, such as workplace harrassment, victim blaming etc. No love triangle if i remember it right, seeing it is marriage by convienence/co-habitation ☺
Thank you for the list, i will have a look. (I loved Tomorrow btw, even if it was a hard watch at times emotionally with its heavy themes. Still so very worth it <3 )

Agree... They are trying to make it like the Guest now with the evil spirit changing bodies... Unfortunately most…
It is not a thriller, nor a horror drama, though? It is a mixture of genres with the two named only having a small part and role to play in the story. Comedy, characters, their stories/development, and romance are the much more dominant elements of FNOS.
- Reading Cha Woong like an open book and getting under his skin in all different ways- Her aegyo is not annoying…
Joke aside Cnawoong has no special power outsde being the biggest dork and seeing ghosts. There IS something he manages due to plot/his past bg reasons, but that is due to ancestry, so to speak, and thanks to SH being close nearby.... who is needed to bring forth this otherwise dormant ability.
All shaman powers or whatever you wanna call it stems from the general choi who has been the family's guiding spirit for 2000 years. So when he leaves CW won't be seeing ghosts any longer either.

- Appearing cool and collected when in truth he excels in nothing. - Being read like a book and called out on his bs by Seul Hae/his ghost crew ALL THE TIME - "It is real magic, i swear" - "Fake it till you make it" - Overestimating himself - nagging and complaining like a fishwife to his ghost employees/fam/SH - Making lotta money with bullshitting people - Dork lvl 9000 - Flirting as expertly as a piece of toast - Pretending not to care about the people around him, while caring a whole damn lot - "No I am not in love" denial power lvl 9000 - Being extremely whipped by Seul Hae - Escaping his (filial/shaman) responsibilities since two decades - Pouty walk and pouty sit expert - a cool ring trick (learned late but applied perfectly😏) - Being the most extra/dramatic but also caring (future) bf Seul Hae could find in 2000 years. - Making the cheesy line "IT IS SHOWTIME!" somewhat bearable with his delivery - Running and hiding behind SH from evil ghosts
