I literally cried seeing Yoon sung and Taesung backstory π₯ΊI really dislike Eun siwoo for tainting their relationship…
So the epilogue was a flashback? Either way, with the smart way they deal with conflicts writing-wise, I feel it is going to be cleared up tomorrow for the most part. The conflict of Yoon knowing/hiding his mother's return still remains and appears to be the cause of contention between them in the preview i think? Then again, never trust the preview as it is a lying liar, haha. I think all will be fine. If not tomorrow then in the next week's episodes
Can gladly report that the dive into thriller/angst in eps 10 has not been continued in episode 11. There is little of salty witch or any angst and what there is is used to strengthen the relationship between HB and GTS instead to drive them apart as intented by them. It feels tho as if the ex manager plot gets rolling now tho.
I mean he does, we see him watching a movie or drama during his cozy movie night with added "oh no I am catching feelings panic" he projects himself and Shin Ah into, haha
I'm not sure which kind of development or relevation you expect to happen in one singular episode tho? This drama builds up their characters and story slower and has a longer introductory phase for them. And not all is as you think it is at first glance, which is by design. But it needs more investment from the viewer's side than one episode for this to happen tbh.
Finished ep 2 I just wish that thing that shows all the time in dramas will end soon cause this kind of tropes…
And it knooooows it, and is one of the most self-aware drama's i have watched. It really is more a satire on all the common drama tropes or to turn them on their head than anything else. Keep watching till the end of eps 4, you may will be surprised ;)
Bringing back my two comments made to this silly silly complaint tbh: I used to watch ghost hunting shows aka…
It is a plot convenience but a much needed one, as you cannot have the characters scribbling on a piece of paper while they are chasing the evil spirit. Like imagine you watching the crew chasing the baddies with time being of the essence since xy is in danger and will die if they don't stop yx and suddenly they halt to pause for several moments, bc they have to leave detailed direction for SH on paper, lol. It would be like general choi as he tried typing to explain smth to SH lmao. It is just not practical for the flow of the story. and would be jarring instead.
It is not so much based on IRL science than the belief of paranormal researchers/ghost hunting groups that ghost communicate in higher/lower frequencies than humans do and as such devices are needed to communicate with them. Of course none of it is actually scientifically proven, but the idea and eventual GI box built by Ah Reum in the drama is based on the same principle that devices are needed to "bridge the gap" in communication with the dead. Plus, the writer even go to the length to explain the rules behind it, even if it is and I repeat, FANTASY and a show where GHOSTS help ML do magic tricks as his EMPLOYEES. But the speaker is the most unbelievable thing of all the events taking place in the show? Yeah okay, lol.
And in the drama, the box is only meant to ease their work with SH. Again, i don't get when ppl are hung up on this fact, nor trying to explain why having a device for SH to communicate with the ghost crew in a FANTASY drama is unrealistic and a drama-dropping dealbreaker, lmao. But YMMV, i guess π€·ββοΈ
Finally got into watching this! I enjoyed it until...I am not sure if this has been mentioned before but am I…
Bringing back my two comments made to this silly silly complaint tbh:
I used to watch ghost hunting shows aka where a group of people goes into haunted locations with equipment to find proof of the hauntings. Hence to me the idea of using electronic devices to communicate with the dead is very logical and nothing to get worked up about lmao. What are they supposed to do instead? Sit down using an ouiji board spelling out everything letter by letter? Lmao an episode would be 5 hours each then π€£π€£π€£
Exactly!!!!!!!!! Well said!!! On top of all that, what was the point of covering for Taeyang when the accident…
Yeeeeeah. I had expected it to be more slice of life than sport drama actually, but by now it is more woe of life than anything. Like all the characters are miserable atm and not even in an interesting way which promises growth. As for TY's guilt, her extreme need for repentance would have been in line, if she had DUI'd and urged her former friend to get with her in the car, and THEN caused an accident. This didn't happen however, so her cowering and lamenting and hovering around the family really bothers me and her behavior feels very disproportionate and silly in regards to the actual events that took place.
Given, I haven't yet watched the last two eps that aired yet, but hearing about TY's estranged mother coming back and adding to her self-inflicted misery-ridden state of being does not make me want to watch either tbh. Like i get angst and conflict is needed for a story to keep it interesting, but c'mon give her a frikkin break.
I really wish we could have gotten the drama you described. Even if it were less focused on showing the actual tournaments overall, I miss a clear plotline regarding them as team mates and their athletic goals. Instead of showing us them succeeding in that, it all only misery and whining atm, sigh. I may have to put it on hold until the rest of the eps has aired and i can either skip eps or read recaps instead to see how it ended.
I really wanted to love this drama ( I love the main leads) but I ended up finding it boring at times. Donβt…
Yeah, could not have said it better, especially regarding their relationship. It was a slog and a half to finish this drama even on 2x speed for me. There are definitely much better romcoms out there which even portray adults as adults in relationship, lol.
Why would you ever get the idea to let your toddler watch kdrama? Like... why? This is nowhere near the content suitable for their age, ever. So even if it is about immersing them into the language, let your kid see some korean cartoons suitable to their age instead.
I enjoyed the first half of the drama but now it feels like a drag to me. Perhaps because i don't get what the deal is about how TY is supposed to be guilty of destroying TJ's sister's life. Like the drama treats it as tho she had taken an iron bar and smashed it over that gal's knee to end her career or something. Like certainly not the most wisest decision to go snowboarding IN THE NIGHT AND DRUNK, but TY did not put a gun at her head and forced her to, nor shoved her down the mountain?
Like...she was at this point and is a grown ass woman capable of making her own decisions and she made a stupid one. So fucking deal with it instead to shift the blame to someone else and make their life to a guilt-ridden hell for years, you bitter asshole. Of course she had to return from her faraway place, stinking up everything with her hung up on yesteryear events she does take zero responsibility of herself (Also who made you queen and thus gave you the right to say who your brother can meet and not?)
And while TJ is the bestest boyfriend that is like a rock-like support for TY, I am this close to create a prayer circle for her to finally stand up for herself for once, instead of only crying/lamenting all the time. And although the bullying went on for way too long in the drama, i love how the team now supports her. Huge difference from before.

This drama excels in solving the conflicts created for characters organically without dragging them out needlessly, bless.
