I was about to ask that question but you ended up asking!!! 1. Tomorrow2. Park hae jin's new drama(Forgot the…
I already have a lot in my currently watching list since I try out every airing drama which interests me a little to see what sticks. Currently of them the big one is Tomorrow, bc i love Rowoon a lot (as an actor, he is really good and steadily improving) and Again My Life gives me Vicenzo vibes, if with way less quirky humor. I am taking a look at Our blues too this week too. Soundtrack #1 is a nice cozy and brief friends to lovers story.
From the in a bit upcoming ones... Link: Eat, Love, Die with Yeo Jin Goo in a more humorous role (such a terrific actor, bless). Sh**ting stars (another enemies to lovers romcom in showbiz), From Now On Showtime (plot sounds interesting) and for (possible) misery fuel the historical kdrama Bloody Hearts. Not to mention all the older kdrama i have to catch up on in my watchlist of course haha.
Thanks for the link. I am surprised how much i already can understand after learning korean daily for two months
I know both forms, but i learned the latter one in my vocabs so i use that one. Not sure if one is more correct than the other, so take it with a grain of salt from this newbie learner haha. And thank you, back to you <3

Smitten kitten, haha, this is so fitting🤣 Yeah the ads are super polished and so beautiful, in a way? Idk, just so different from german ones lol. Oh nice, i have only nearly half a year of kdrama under my belt yet lol. But yeah, unless you watch medical dramas or idk lawyer ones i guess the vocab and phrases are pretty accessible as the most common ones are used. Which you can learn as you go, or rather watch, haha.
I find learning korean fun, as i am now at the point where i have an overall grasp of "how it works" and find it pretty logical. At least until the more complicated sentences/grammar rules (PARTICLES *shakes fist*) will come into play and force a humble pie down my throat, that is, haha.

I only started sort of recently with watching kdrama (since december) but yeah immersing yourself in the language helps a lot to learn words and understand what is going on. Like, i watched a lot of anime in my twenties and i still know a lot of "commonly used" (in anime) japanese words due to that haha. It is really learning by doing, or rather osmosis lol

I self study and thanks to modern technology it is super accessible. I use phone apps for my daily units, mostly and youtube vids for the rest. Aka, duolingo, lingodeer, eggbun, and flashcard apps like avocards and drops to learn and repeat vocab. First i learned how to read hangul which is always the first, near mandatory step to get access to the language. But fear not it is super easy to learn as it is the most logical asian script imo, specifically developed for accessibility. It takes a while to be able to really read the words fluently and i am long not there yet myself and super slow in deciphering the single words, but it is all a matter of practice and repetition. You can learn the hangul script in a matter of hours tho, if you dedicate yourself to it. Or two weeks if taken slowly.
I do a lot of listening exercises, which helps to grasp the words spoken in kdramas together with vocab study. If you are only interested in listening/understanding i would put emphasis here in your study and learning vocabulary of course, as without you won't understand what is being said, of course haha. For which tbh, being able to read hangul is super helpful, if not needed.
My goal is of course to fully understand Kdramas without english subs, but i guess this will take another 10-15 months at least. Plus it would be great to use these language skills for the greater good, aka translating stuff for the international kdrama community and such heh. I would love to be able to fully read korean texts too, but this is more a long-term goal that goes/comes along my main one in the way i study (aka all around: Reading, listening, writing, a bit of speaking exercises and vocab/grammar learning) with time and patience. 파이팅!☺
I've been clamoring for weeks to get this Segi backstory we started to get some today and I was annoyed because…
i have only seen half of the episode so i must have missed it but good to know. And yeees, i was only hyperfocused on putting my daily vocab training to practice/to the test, when the two cuties were on screen lol. Priorities, yknow? 🤣
Also on the visual side of things, Go Jin really lightened up a lot, so to speak. Like his wardrobe was way more casual than usual and idk his whole attitude changed post knowing of the misdiagnosis . Dunno how to explain it but it is very visible and well portrayed by KJW and arranged the costume/styling team. A man in love with one big worry less indeed, aww.
Since the misunderstanding is cleared up fast and they have now committed to each other, the episode is indeed heavier side regarding on the scheming of the baddies, while GoJin and Shinah are living their best life with regular dating and being cuties :D
I'm amused how the lack of subs makes it even more apparent how much Shinah is the one with the "power" in their relationship since Go Jin is super whipped ...and it never fails to make me laugh xD Segi appears to have the typical greed/power grabbing motivation if i grasped that correctly? Scheming asshole is scheming and i didn't pay overly much attention to his and Soo Young's dialogue (without subs, that is) tbh bc they annoy me so much.
Can't wait for Shinah and Go Jin team up as power couple and curbstomp all his/their enemies. 파이팅!!!

It gets easier once you know the korean sentence structure and the most common vocab. Then you can glean most things from context even if you don't understand everything. My daily drama watching helped too of course haha. I am most fascinated by the korean ads in between the drama tho, ngl xD
Yeees, as expected they are fast in clearing up the misunderstanding of her misdiagnosis and it leads briefly to the whole "he is only pitying" scene when he storms the room after he is blowing up a little as all the fear of losing her falls off him. He then returns and hugs her in relief which leads to a very wholesome scene between them. And now they are all smiley and on a date. God they are the cutest, i cant <3<3<3

Lmao, how she cringed when he asked her to call him "오빠" or "자기야" instead of being so formal. I am 🤣But she was good in shutting him up quicky. Haha, he is so whipped.
Happy it is addressed tho, bc if there is one thing i hate in kdramas is when ML/FL keep on using formal titles/last names even in private to address each other even after they have (long) started dating.
I am grinding my teeth already.. i am on episode 9 and i am dreading this ex causing unnecessary misunderstandings…
Mr. Queen does the same where misunderstandings/preconceived notions are a driving force which then lead to confrontation, reflection of past acts/words (especially from ML), and a better understanding in the end between ML/FL😎<3
Probably why i love Crazy Love too, since it utilizes it in the same way instead to turn it into the usual roadblock, bless.
Yea I got abit upset too but he was honest about it in his confession. I think in the end he will still help her…
Yeah, i was iffy about the whole "If you become instructor you are no longer by my side so i cant let you do this - thingie, but i believe it is temporary with current fears speaking out of him. I feel it will pass once he gets past them and more secure (fear of being abandoned, plus believing she is terminally ill and going about the wrong way to make her life easier instead of more stressful) Also he is still in the middle of his character progression as him completely changing overnight would be silly and not believable.
Ugh! I absolutely detest break ups especially towards the end of the show so I really hope there isn't one. It…
Especially since in FLAW their breakup could have been undone with ONE frikkin honest conversation WITH EACH OTHER instead over each other with other ppl. God this was so frikkin frustrating and i hate when a drama does that. Prayer circle for CL to not fall into these traps as we are now entering typical (and to 98% unneeded) drama angst territory according to episode numbers (12-15)
Lmao, bless her heart. I love her but him being as direct as he was in the end was direly needed. It seems Go Jin's type of woman is one who never can take a (glaring) hint, lol.
I mean we gotta stick to the already established traditions in this drama as the first kiss was also waaaaay longer than three seconds of her time lmao
They kissed OMG 😍😍😍 this drama is literally getting better with every episode.he is thinking she is having…
He is reading boooooks about cancer deep into the night and tries to find a way to help her, ow my heart😢 I wasn't too hot on him policing her what to eat, but then again under the bg of him thinking she is terminally ill it makes sense in his usual, roundabout Go Jin way. He just want her to be healthy, and basically offering her every healthy dish Koreas' cuisine has to offer as alternative with a dozen yorisaga lining up to serve it is how he does it haha.
