Oh I thought you meant the drama in general whoops. Well give it another hour or two then. They are normally the fastest of all sources. I am eagerly waiting for it too.
I was hesitant to start watching it because I know the ML from "W" which to me was the worst drama i have watched to date and LJS's performance and chemistry with FL in there more than underwhelming. But since I love the friends to lovers trope and the backdrop of the drama (BOOKS!) I started the first episode on a whim.
And I am glad i did, it is really cute and cozy like a warm spring day. Even LJS is growing on me, like a puppy you prior not regarded lol. I think the caring best friend role suits him better than aloof comic action chaeboi guy. The drama reminds me a lot of the currently airing Soundtrack #1 i watched before stumbling over this drama on netflix. Also because here it is once again the guy who (not so) secretly habors romantic feelings for the FL for a long time, but is scared to confess bc he does not want to ruin their friendship. I just love that dynamic, the waiting until the inevitable confession, which explains why the drama grabbed me from the start haha.
Saw a tweet saying:“when you say enemies to lovers im waiting knife to throat, gun to heart and pure hate not…
Yep. Another one i can highly rec is in Mr. Queen, where ML literally went from trying to kill FL to hearteyes (progressively and slowly ofc) So, so well done <3
Every post I've seen about this show has either been horribly bad or amazingly good. Sooo... I decided to check…
i haven't seen any direct hate, but i think some ppl feel/felt the need to put this drama down bc it used to run head to head (aka at the same time/day slot) as the megapopular ABP did. Hence some ppl felt obliged to shit on it just because of it... without ever having seen CL (I watched both and honestly where ABP is a nice snack, CL is a full, satisfying meal) It happens vice versa too, of course and i just wish ppl would stop this immature rivalry, especially since ABP has long since ended now. Lets enjoy CL together instead :D
Rowoon also said he wanna try psycho and villain role, action and thriller genre. Hope he get opportunity to play…
Oh yeah, he would be terrific in these too. i love that he is continuously branching out in regards of his role variety and challenging himself as an actor. This explains why he is (already) so good and constantly breaking the "idol actors are just pretty faces and can't act" stereotype. And tbh, he only gets better with each drama he stars in. Bless.
I heard about that and will do so, seeing i completed the first episode now... and i like it so far. It is definitely…
Oh I finished it this weekend and there are many things i loved. Like for example how they never turn Vicenzo into the good guy, like he remains an anti-hero at best and is very aware of his role in it all. Ngl, his punishment for the villains was very brutal but also very satisfying. He stayed true to his principles and the lesser evil mafia guy througout who had a very soft core for his plaza fam and his wifey xD The end is a bit hmm, i guess there was no other way to end it with him being "at large" in KOR but at least they will visit each other? Bit more open-ended than i expected but tbh, mr. queen is the same, so i am fine lol. Ignazio is the MVP, lol. It did veer into mr. queen absurdity briefly when the pigeons attacked and saved him but i laughed so much haha.
Han Seo deserved better, i so enjoyed his turnaround and development but yeah probs to be expected ;( I loved how everyone and their uncle wanted to be Vicenzo's brother lol. Especially Han Seo was so cute when he got excited over spending time with vicenzo haha. It was a long watch of around a week or more i needed to finish it but i loved a lot about this show. Acting was great too all around, Vincenzo's character seemed to be made for SJK with the contrast of his innocent face and ruthless actions. Bless. In general there was so much character and quirks in all the characters, no matter if good or villain, side, support or main. Another trait shared with mr. queen heh. The plaza tenants are squad goals and i loved the (not so) subtle romance between Young and Vincenzo. Their partnership and understanding without words was so great. Vincenzo being unkillable became somewhat a meme for me during watching bc he always had a plan in the back of his hand and ngl, i cackled each time this happened. So a lot, lol. Hope he and Young have the best Mafia boss island life with lots of fertilizing land lol.
A tricky question to answer. How spoiled do you want to be?
The korean synopsis on the official page spoke of him finding her dairy where she put down her will. (korean nerd appendix: "유언장을" in the og text literally means "make one's will" as it is the conjugated form from "유언장" ,romanized: yuenjjang, meaning will/testament) So he definitely read about her "impending death" and thus it spurred him into action ;)
Rowoon in a giant chicken costume had me hollering. I love his character and the much needed lightness and heart he brings into the story. And Rowoon is made for this role with his excellent comedic timing/talent tbh. Hope to see him in more comedy roles in the future😁
would you belive me if i told you i'm the opposite i dropped CRAZY LOVE in ep 3, and went to wach a business proposal…
the first three to four episodes did not grab me much either, but boooi does it pick up after that. This is the rare breed of drama which gets better with every episode, bc it adds so many small details and character development in each one. Now it is my fave airing drama atm, so i definitely rec to give it another go and couple of episodes :)
Why is this comment section so hellbent on comparing ABP to CL or/and creating a dumb, unneeded rivalry between the shows? That drama has ended, now let it reeeest and enjoy CL instead without scaring possible new viewers away with kindergarten lvl "my drama is better than yours" behavior, thanks.
I looked up the og text and yeah, "유언장을" means "make one's will" as it is the conjugated form from "유언장"…
Yeeeeah, goes to show how undervalued CL still is. In this way i am really glad ABP is no longer airing and taking away its overdue limelight. But it does not help either that it is only on disney+ (and that only in a handful of asian countries) since disney reeeeeeally sucks in promoting their kdramas.
As for the translation... No prob :D i am still a beginner learner in korean so naver dictionary is my best friend lol. Tis a bit like lego for me at the moment, just with korean words xD And the text is just the official synopsis of the upcoming episode, so nothing too spoilerific either imo ;) I plan to use my language power for good, once i leveled up lol (in a year or two)

this is another currently airing antidote to 2521s ending and deserves more love than it gets tbh ;)
hope this helps ya :D
