Here is to Rowoon and once more breaking the stereotype of how idols turned actors can't act in every drama he does. The man has raaaaaange and an impeccable timing and talent for physical comedy, bless. Which given the subject matter of the drama brings in much needed levity into some of the scenes. And comedy/dorky scenes aside, I love how all of his roles (so far) played have this natural warmth and caring side, it makes his characters instantly more likable and relatable. He is indeed the (half) human part of the group <3
I wish he faked it longer now he is back to being a biggest jerk and it is less amusing to watch cuz of that..
His anger was understandable if uncomfortable to watch, yeah. But remember she was about to leave and he made her stay at his side in the most Go Jin way possible. Remember that is the guy who ranted at a potato when she did not come home for a night, lol. And the kiss at the end is surely gonna backfire very soon as he is catching feelings for her more and more.
And the kiss alone like daaaamn... he was so caught up in it, he went in a second time (with eyes closed and all) when he didn't need to, as it had already fulfilled its purpose. It was definitely longer than just three seconds lol
Unfortunately only in South East + East Asia Continents's selected regions : Indonesia, Singapore, Japan, Thailand,…
If you don't mind using other streaming pages, there is always dramacool.city, which i use for all of my ongoing/airing dramas since i would have to wait ages for it to drop on netflix and co otherwise:
Happy to see that my Melodrama tag add was accepted bc this is way more accurate for this drama and should serve as a fair warning for new viewer๐.
Also lol, i was joking a week ago, but all signs point at that we will really get the Record of Youth style ending where the (supposed) leads meet again in the last two minutes of episode 16 and ambiguously walk away together. I'll scream if they are doing a timeskip before reuniting too, I swear.
I don't understand why some people say it's boring but I really enjoyed watching it and I've repeat it 3 times…
I really like each episode too so far, even if i take my time to finish this drama. This show is super extra in the best ways xD
I think ppl are scared away by its overall length per episode maybe which is why i cannot bingewatch it either. I rather watch 2-3 eps a day, unlike other shows since it is so time intensive (but overall really worth it)
Imo Crazy Love is a very underrated drama which is sadly in the shadow of ABP atm. It has a slow start in the first episodes (just power thru these), but after this? Yes, great gradual character and relationship development with a lot of dark humor and eccentric leads who really stay true to the drama's title haha. The slow enemies to lovers progression is handled well and true to their characters too so far. i hope they continue in this way.
Why the rating dropped so much?! Guess it will go under 8 after the finale :|
I feel this depends on how it is ending but yeah, could happen. This drama just tanked the second half of its story completely so i understand the drop in ratings tbh. It went from a 9 to a 7 in my personal ratings over the span of a few weeks too. Will rate it even lower when they tank the ending of it, tho at this point i am not sure what will even salvage it so you could call it ending on a satisfying note tbh lmao.
Reality can be subjective. If you still work with your cheating ex and youยดre having steaming hot sex with the…
I agree with you. And i feel the mistake lies in how hakyoung is written. Like her whole shtick is being unable to fully commit to her new relationship because she has been hurt this badly yet she confides in her cheating ex every time over tea? WHAT? He is the reason she is in that situation and struggles so much, yet she declares him insta bff a few weeks later to talk about her relationship problems he caused in large parts by hurting her in the first place ? This is not how people (regularely) work, ffs. I get that having a good relationship with your ex is not impossible, nor should it be but it is more about the very brief span of time it takes her from going from deep traumatic hurt to lets be friends forever <3 Sure, it depends on the individual person yeah, but normally this is a process that takes months to several years not a few weeks, if ever. Especially when such a deep betrayal by her ex is the cause and reason to split, as it was in Hakyung's case,
She is also written as career-focused so maybe it makes sense for her having zero friends buuuut why couldn't have been her older sister written as the one she confines in and talk about these things? It would have fleshed out that character also more beyond OH CUTE PENGUINS too. Like as sisters they have next to zero screentime together, which is a shame they didn't let her have any bonding time with her sister, at least. Why it has to be the ex instead beyond the "why we didn't work out" talk instead? Have some frikkin self-respect gurl, lmao. Her writing is so freakin inconsistant and frustrating and this is just one of the reasons.
i actually am low key glad that this show is ending
Haha, same. What started as portrayal of mature relationships and good communication where misunderstandings could not arise or were cleared up very fast became a shitshow of miscommunication and ensuing misunderstandings for the angsty angst's sake in the latter half. ๐
Ikr? I first thought I was watching some chinese xianxia dramas. Romance and fated-to-be-lovers trope is wonderfully…
A very good portrayal of a blind person in kdramaland (and how AHS should have done it tbh) is from SHS in Angel's last mission: love, btw (which i can highly recommend) Even when Shin Hye Sun is on the same eyelevel with him when both are sitting down, she does not look at him... and her eyes remain unfocused throughout:

I love AHS's red eyes too, but unfortunately he is portraying his character like a sighted person. Too often he directly looks at people or/and is on the same eyelevel when speaking to people. Blind individuals rarely do that, if ever, while it is a natural reflex for a sighted person when talking to ppl. This makes his scenes quite distracting and inauthentic tho, not to mention that the script basically has turned him into the daredevil of Joseon lmao.
I heard about that and will do so, seeing i completed the first episode now... and i like it so far. It is definitely…
Thank you so much for the recs. Both drama are on my watchlist and i just started watching WYWS due to that. So far it has not grabbed me, but I just watched 6 (3 full) episodes so far. I struggle with the ML as i am really not a fan of Lee Jong Suk, like his acting feels too stiff and off. Plus there is something with his face bothering me that adds to it, it is too much in doll-like, uncanny valley for me. And my first impression of him was in the drama "W" which was the worst drama i have seen to date for too many reasons to count (his acting and lack of chemistry being two of them) did not help either ๐ Much to my chagrin he is starring in like every second romcom tho๐๐. But i will stick to WYWS as i like the plot/fantasy elements thus far, and maybe even LJS will grow on me in the end. (I doubt that but hey I'll try xD)
Oh i had expected to only get the resolution for the cat/mouse game iin the end, dw. It is the overarching plot and the reason the characters do stuff outside their eccentric shenanigans in the building, after all. I do take it slow with watching Vincenzo, so i don't grow tired of it. But tbh, so far it is super engaging and the characters great as always, so i doubt it will happen either way. I love the found family vibe the tenants have going on with our two chaotic lawyers. They are all lovable characters in their own right (which also made Mr.Queen so exeptional, btw :D) And Cha Young and Vicenzo have all the power couple energy possible (bless) and are very creative to take down the big bads. Like the court case with the hornet will stick with me for a long time, i laughed so much xD It definitely does not get boring haha.
Yeeeees, I think you will like King Cheoljong as he is such a multifaceted character, same as Vicenzo. Of course this is due to Kim Jung Hyun'being a terrific actor who gave the character so many subtle layers, depth and nuance through his portrayal. Tbh, there are not many actors who can hold their own weight when paired with Shin Hye Sun, but he is as talented as her and together they are just *chefkiss* Watching their scenes together is like an even pingpong game of great acting, back and forth. Not only the comedy or romance scenes flow so well, but especially the emotional scenes together such as their confrontation at the start of episode 4 (plus CJ's epiphany, subsequent regret and dialogue with his brother right after), their fight mid-episode 5 and post lake convo in eps. 6 are scenes i have watched countless times (and regularly rewatch) because the acting in them is just so SO exceptionally well done. Needless to say i am living the SHS and KJH appreciation life ever since haha, but Song Joong Ki and Jeon Yeo Bin definitely are a joy to watch too in Vincenzo, in their own quirky, badass ways <3

Yeah unlike the wacky plot inclusive cringy CGI deity battles, the romance is quite cute, I'll be sticking around for that, not the nonsensical plot. Although i am annoyed by now by how often they repeat the (same) children scenes over and over. Like we get it, you are meant to be, and are very fond of these childhood memories but god, enough already xD
I just love coming into the comment section of a Shin Hye Sun drama and see so many comments about how the FL's acting is great each time, because FACTS. SHS kills it in each and every of her roles, she is just THAT good. It is such a pity how and a mystery why she is still so undervalued in the k-entertainment industry, she deserves better. Best korean actress bar none in terms of skills and range, and no i am not taking opinions/vetos on that :D
Four episodes in, it does not grab me and the script and its fantasy elements are too off the rails as well. Like Abyss this seems to be yet another AHS drama that is best watched at 1.5-2x speed except for the romance scenes, welp ๐
