Haha, pretty much. This is also why the last episode was not "back to square one" but more a cheeky visual throwback to it by the writers, as their dynamic has since long changed. Which we will see in episode 9, i guess.

The day after he kissed Shinah to deceive Sooyoung, Gojin's heart races whenever he looks at Shinah. Shinah experiences the same when looking at him. Sooyoung attempts to find out if Gojin/Shinah are really engaged. Nerves frayed due to Sooyoung, Gojin insults Shinah who then tells him (in anger) she would leave (and not return.)
The ML was so nasty to both the FL and 2FL.It fits with his original character though, he started off as nasty…
He is already changing, but little by little which suits such a "jerk" character much better than a sudden 180 to nice. Also while he did the harsh "lipstick on a pig"remark after Sin Ah's makeover in classic kdrama trope fashion was revealed, his long awed stare at her before that told otherwiseðŸ¤
Not sure if the following points will help change some of y'all's perspective so here goes nothing -1. The subtitles…
I watched the recent episode late at night and was too tired to sort in my twofold opinion about it... so your post helps a lot here. Exactly how i see it too. I think the writers mirrored the "starting bullying scene" with the coffee for shit and giggles bc a lot is now different between them and will continue to change. It was more a throwback to it visually than back to square one dynamic-wise.
Finally someone who thinks the same way!! Maybe the reason I was invested from the start was bc I went into the…
Yeah it has been super-extra from the start with lots of eccentric (also in a good way) side and main characters. Ngl, the dark poster definitely does not sell the overall "quirky but more than meets the eye" charm of the drama I'm glad to have finally discovered, however late. I put off watching it thinking it was a dry action tale of revenge. Lol, oh how wrong i was xD
I heard about that and will do so, seeing i completed the first episode now... and i like it so far. It is definitely…
Those drama are so hard to find, like ever since i watched mr. queen a couple months ago, i have been pining for a drama that is as excellently blending all the different genres, aka comedy, romance, great, tight plot/character development, competent acting, lovable side characters/assholes you love to hate and a dash of action/angst as well as it my (now) fave kdrama does.
Four episodes in it seems vicenzo will finally scratch that itch. Ngl, I am still a bit wary of the 20 episodes format knowing how kdrama tend to drag later on, especially when every episode is basically movie-length, but so far I really enjoy my time with it, The whole "idealistic underdog(s) who want to make the shitty world a little less shitty in fighting against/rooting out the powerful, corrupt elite/clans with wits and fists" is not only a theme that i love but also another thing it has in common with Mr. Queen :D The main leads definitely also share the same awesome mix of chaotic/badass energy and have power couple already written over them, bless.
Also.... I love Hong Cha Young already so much. Like I have only known her for a couple of hours but if something were to happen to her i would kill everyone in this room and myself//BB 99 meme ðŸ¤And I appreciate the duality of Vicenzo being a smart badass while also being very dumb/ a dorky idiot, haha. That is true King Cheoljong energy right here *runs off before making even more comparisons* 😂 🙃

Yeah in terms of extra and quirkiness (of characters and tone) it really reminds me of my all time fave kdrama mr.queen, ngl. So i very much approve, lol.
I love how much of a sulky kid he was when she did not come back, (great comedic acting too). Against his will, she has already taken root inside of him, and him wondering out loud if he was too rude to her is huge. But of course this does not last long as Sina is up to more or less severe pranks to ruin his day haha. It was so amusing to let him stumble from one beloved thing ruined to the other and see his reaction. Ofc now where she ain't terminally ill (the misdiagnosis was predictable but very welcomed plot point tbh) she will have many many regrets in hindsight haha.
I did not expect him to reveal himself to her so soon, which was an odd mixture of gotcha and trusting her at least enough to not be the culprit. But booooi does this open up possibilities for an interesting dynamic if/when they keep up the charade. Sina may not be ill, but Go Jin still can and probably will make her now longer life very miserable haha. This is so much fun to watch by now, i hope it keeps up.
Edit: My bad, it is still missing the subs, alas. Should be out by tomorrow at its latest i think. The woes of watching a non-popular airing drama, i guess, sigh.
I feel like the second male kind of outshine the male lead acting wise…Which is weird because i usually like…
I think this is also due to SK getting so little to work with as the writer clearly favored SML and gave him little to no room/arc in the story for development or even sufficient screentime compared to how often we had to endure the antics of that manchild. (Yoon Park's acting is really good tho)
Regarding the illness it seems a misdiagnosis, according to Shin-Ah's character profile for the drama. https://twitter.com/_hellomino/status/1506308822683774976
I don't understand how ppl can say the first episodes are boring... like this drama is as fuckin extra (in a good way) as its main lead(s) right from the very start and keeps going that way. I love that 🤣 (Maybe the long episode length makes it more cumbersome to get thru the episodes for some ppl? idk)
