Yeah, Mirim and Hyojoo are fun to watch because there is an opposing dynamic there, and they challenge each other. Or rather Mirim challenges the rude ass HJ to become a better person down the line maybe. There is potential for change and growth there which is why i like them. The brainless duo however is on the same level of stupidity with each other, both egoistic dumbasses and immature to the max. It feels static and detached with no growth or change in sight as they fumble their way through the most mundane daily tasks without ever learning ANYTHING. They just live in their own world, completely removed from everything and anyone and that is just boring. I really wonder how the writer is gonna reconnect them to the storyline and if it ever happens bc right now any scenes with them is wasted screentime that would be much better allotted to either the leads or Mirm/HJ tbh, ugh.

They are so sweet and comfortable with each other as if they already know the other for ages. Both need this kind of support and love this relationship will provide as both are alone in their own ways. When they finally start dating it will be sooo good, which is why I'm impatient to get there. But I also love that HS does not (seem to) hesitate to support him in this moment of crisis, so happy he isn't alone in this and TH will undoubtedly pay her back tenfold for it. Really love their dynamic it is so wholesome especially with how they started out hahaha

The mother is one of those toxic boy moms who favor their sons by default due to deep seated internal misogyny and the belief how men are superior to women hence her favorable treatment of them. 💀Plus her daughter is doing all the things she wants anyway, so why should she put in effort being nice to her? It is the typical biting the hand that feeds you and we see first steps of Hyoshim learning to cut her off or at least not bail her out in not paying the bills and bailing her out after the mom lent money from her neighbor.

I just happened to fail to connect with the characters within emotionally which happens sometimes despite me being able to see that it is good show. And he is surprised HS is uncomfortable with him, and don't know why? Oooooh the lack of self awareness is staggering. (also did they time-jump somewhere? Taeho is totally smitten with HS and no one can tell me otherwise, bc he finds HS stuffing her face adorable. He also continues to be smooth, basically winning her heart thru her stomach with giving her all the chicken drumsticks. "as apology for failing to bring her home/her forgetting about it." and "then eat with me every day and all the drumsticks will be yours." No wonder the romantic music sets in with that sentence. This man speaks right to Hyoshim's heart especially after being treated like that at home 😆 And he is so content with her being here and eating with him and eating well. Him smiling into his soup bowl bc he is very charmed by her was so cute at the end. I do wonder if she agreed on forgetting everything or eating with him every day tho. Maybe both?
But of course bad news bear comes rolling into the room and all over the table, stinking up their peaceful lunch in form of that phone call. I really liked the detail of HS' immediate alerted concern and TH stumbling out of the eatery. Kathryn said it well that Hajoon is able to switch from adorable golden retriever to cold and calculating in the next bc this is what we see in the scene of him meeting the private eye and him downright threatening him to do a better job as he does not believe gran dead. It is the duality of HJ/TH for me. But of course niceguy knight comes riding in with the falsified dentist results and convinces TH that gran is indeed dead. Poor TH had only like 1 1/2 days of peace and now this, a body that ain't his grandma but is sold as such (TM is kept in the dark too here, for once)

The way she is affected by hearing/seeing him grieving tells us she is caring a lot for him already. I love how it all snuck up on her without her realizing it but maybe this will be the push needed for realization heh. Let's see how it goes tomorrow, especially with TH fainting from the emotional stress. I really want TH to dote on HS bc gawd she deserves it sm, but for now it has to be the other way around tho.
