Oh for sure. Like what i don't get with princess piss is why she does not talk to Taeho at all. Like isn't it her family she bears disdain for? Thus makes sense for her avoiding the contact to them, but her completely ignoring her cousin who is decidedly not on her mother's side does NOT. Yeah sure she is "officially studying in Paris or whatever" but daaaamn not even a phonecall or a text msg to check in with him is very callous from her. Not to mention her knowing of grandmother and what happened to her (hostage at the villa before escaping) and not telling TH is truly the height of selfishness.

Especially since she is using her own grandmother as bargain chip and money source only (to extort from her evil mother) in a "if you don't i'll tell." Well you brainless punk... i wish you actually would. Because that would mean you have DONE something and something USEFUL at that. Bc so far she is severely lacking in that. Her whole character is as pointless as Hyodo is. Hence i have little or rather no hope that this will change as she proves time and time again, like Hyodo, that she does not give a single fuck for anyone but herself. She is not a bad person sure, but she is willfully ignorant, immature and selfish, which makes her actions bad. Or rather the lack thereof as she continues to live in her own cushy "lalalala noooot listening" dreamworld like a five years old. (And mentally she is about on the same age level too lol.)

Looking at her brother tho, that ignoring reality/selective perception of events around them seems to be a family trait 💀

Haha fair enough. I finished the first part and the war was over by then. But of course not the endless politicking and scheming and hardships, lol. The sadness and longing of the leads are stellar, every glance and touch meaningful. I plan to catch up on part 2 as soon there are not 38543848 kdramas releasing a month that i am interested in. Like it is the case this (november) month, whoops 🤭

Idk if you have watched a weekender before? Bc the point of a family drama is the journey as there are always "annoying" characters starting out. ALWAYS. And often a lot of them, but they all or at least almost all of them change and learn along the way and story progression, which makes this genre such a rewarding/satisfying watch when you see the strides characters have made compared to the beginning. But to experience it, you need to invest patience and not take everything too serious at first, of course.

Omg, yes. The cutest. Such good, effortless chemistry between the leads in general with the writing ensuring them gradually getting to know and falling for each other. It is really a believable, natural development between them and i love to see it.

Also i watched their drinking and drunk scenes an unhealthy amount. Hajoon plays the most adorable drunk but it also speaks of TH's character/personality when he, even drunk as a skunk, is concerned with getting her home safely first and foremost haha. The gentle way he helped her, really drunk himself, into the taxi and protected her head from bumping at the door... oh my heartuuuu. In vino veritas indeed. Such a good guy <3

I always saw Taeho as a normal, good person actually. He just had a bratty streak in the beginning due to personal reasons for which he has now apologized to her, at that. But there were always scenes throughout and outside his bickering with HS that proved he has a good moral compass in general and not just pretends to have it to look good like TM. Taeho is a guy who cares, be it about his missing grandmom, being ethical in business (he has several clashes with TM about that, first in a business meeting and then at the funeral) about that odd fitness coach he claims to dislike when she fell sick/was absent and in general is not beyond to stop and listen/reflect/learn unlike his cousin who thinks himself perfect.

So yeah not surprised to see him him now softening up, especially since he found in Hyoshim someone who did not back down and gave back as much as she took from him, which really impressed him haha. And you can tell that his change of view and interest in her stemmed from her no-nonsense attitude and tenacity. They both see eye to eye (whereas TM always places himself or HS on a pedestal) so somewhere along the way he dared to look closer and liked what he saw. This is why we already get to see his soft flirty boi era with her, but unfortunately we have to wait how it turns out throughout the evil ppl's scheming with them faking gran's death as this will be another, major setback and shock for him of course, alas. I kinda hope that HS can help him here a little and throughout they grow closer. Because we need TH at her house at some point for him to meet a very much alive granny by chance after all haha.

Hmm true Taehee saw her but also that would require Taehee to actually give a shit about anyone not being herself and having more than one dead braincell she shares with her equally insufferable roommate so that will be difficult tbh. I'm just hoping Taeho does not have to suffer for long, especially when things were looking up again with him starting to feel less lonely due to crushing on Hyoshim and enjoying her company 🥺

Taemin and Sookyung deserve each other tho, but I fear he is going to weaponize the whole thing against TH to make him stay away from HS. I'm not sure how far he is involved in all this it is more likely that his witch of a mother and her underling plotted it on their own and he is 'just' willfully ignorant like always. 🙄

Oh it is objectively a good drama, for sure. I just failed to "get into it/attached" emotionally, which makes me sad when that happens but alas it does and with quite some kdramas for me this year, at that. Oh well. Can't win them all heh. Hope you enjoy the rest of it tho :)

Personally i failed to connect to the characters and story and nothing grabs me within so it feels like a chore to watch but others mileage may vary of course

Eviline and her underling clearly set this up and pretend the body is granny in order to dissuade Taeho from further searching. Plus they want to break him and then throw him in jail so yeah, but poor TH. Just as he found some light with feeling heart fluttering and giddy around HS he is thrown back into misery. Hope he isn't pulling back from Hyoshim following that bc the key lies in getting close enough to her to visit her at home and meeting his granny who is clearly not dead by chance.

My urge to strangle Taemin with his "i knew you longer than Taeho how dare you liking him and not meeee" nice guy entitlement bs and HS's mom with her disgusting double standard toward her son(s) is ever rising tho.

Hyoshim accuses her mother of unfair treatment toward herself when Hyojoo comes home after a long time and she (her mother) gives all of her cooked meal/soup to him alone.

태호는 그런 효심에게 해장하자며 삼계탕을 사주며 효심의 마음을 사려고 한다.
Taeho tries to win HYoshim's heart (oooooh the wording, he is smitten, haha) with inviting her to eat hangover soup (that she did not get at her mother's place) with him.

한편 강원도 저수지에서 시체 한 구가 발견되는데...

Ikr? Damn, hajoon is so so good when he turns on his charm. I catch myself blushing and sputtering like HS whenever he teases her, and calls her pretty. They have such a good chemistry in general, even their bickering prior was very uuuuunf for a lack of a better word 😂 But it always made me think "now kiss" in fact. They play off each other so well. And now where Taeho is a soft flirty boi with her, who apologized for being so bratty, opened up about his fam/loneliness, and ensured, even drunk as he was, that HS gets safely in the taxi... daaaaamn *fans self* Sparks are flying. HS better marry this man and marry him quickly 😁 Eps 11 was a good start but i hope for more scenes of the leads together going forward. They are so cute and comfortable with each other, after all. Plus, the sparks.... yeah. I ship it haaaaaard ngl 😆
