Mine too. The only other one that made me squee this year, but in a more subdued manner due to the kdrama being a melodrama is Call It Love (that kiss, damn)

But Shinhong just hits different.

my thought at the scene was... ah this is a family drama now 😂 Honestly by now i don't even blink an eye when there is a hairpulling scene, thanks to weekenders 😂

this made me blush, giggle and kick my feet. Seriously not a lot of kdrama pairings manage that for me these days. They are up there with Chaseul from FNOS and Mr. Queen's leads for me, ngl.

Pairings:

Main Couple: Taeho & Hyoshim
Maknae Couple: Taehee (Taemin's sis & Taeho's cousin) & Hyodo (Hyoshim's youngest bro)
Middle Couple: Mirin (not related to the main fams) & Hyojoon (Hyoshim's older brother)
also Hyosung (HS's oldest bro) and his shrew of a wife repairing their marriage (or not) They have two kids; Phillip and Rubi

Main Villain is obviously Taeho's aunt/Taemin's mother riding cackling on her broom 😂 Plus his uncle/Taemin's father i guess. Taeho's/Taemin's granny is on TH's side knows they are up to no good.

Taemin (Cousin of Taeho) has a crush on Hyoshim, but is eyed by newscaster lady his dad wants to marry him off with.

Father of Hyoshim abandoned them, mother is still hoping he returns one day. Not related to the halmeoni in the building, but they are almost like family. She is the building owner afaik. A single father and his daughter also live in the house.

There are also Hyoshim's co-worker at TS fitness and regular clients but they are not that important for the overall story.

My general answer is yes, because it is build up and all characters introduced well. There is a veteran family drama writer at the helm and it shows in how sensible the show already is structured. Plus all female characters are on equal footing with their male counterpart and take none of their shit, which is actually not a given in family dramas. But if you wanna watch also depends if you have watched a weekender before as it is very different from regular kdrama? Lemme know if i should elaborate on that.

Personally i enjoy Hajoon's role and his bickering with FL Uee in here already a lot, good potential for more, but we are also only at eps 6 next weekend due to a lot of sport event related delays.

So showing Mujin as the one who buried it was meant as a means to reunite for him with AC in the next life... which worked out fine obviously :D
