And in the past, AC would not have been afflicted by the payment for a curse if the spells (good and bad) were not real/did not work, The queen/concubine (idk) also did give birth to a son as she wished and the curse killed the crown prince to make way for her son.
Another good example is the cure disease spell, which only kept SY's curse at bay bc it does not work against curses and when creepy stalker did his curse it accelerated everything again, nullifying HJ's cure disease spell. Hence the return of the bloody hand till that curse got broken thru that spoilery loophole (you know the one) I mean just because the writer does not roll out a banner saying "SPELLS ARE REAL/DO WORK" doesn't mean the context is not given in the story itself 🤣😉

I know chemistry is subjective but they are literally one of the few kdrama pairings that make me giggle and kick my feet bc of how adorable they are together. Their skinship and all their domestic, married ways is top tier romance, so natural. Up there with Chaseul, Cheoljong/Sobong for me with shippy shippy lvl (tho shinhong have a loooooot more skinship than both of them combined. This is probably the most skinshippiest kdrama i have seen since Tomorrow With You, which was EXCELLENT in this regard)
They like each other because they can be themselves with the other, no pretense needed whatsoever. They find warmth and comfort in each other aka "a place to just be", and they have been thru a lot together, which actually a very good foundation for a relationship. (Tho when he is drunk he already is doubting that it is the love spell only, but love in general) His knowledge about his/their past lives is then what seals the deal for him, as other than he thought those feelings are not temporary. Yeah kbs actually manipulated itself well here with starting to air this drama while the asia games were imminent so ppl lose interest or don't even know it started airing thru the constant delays. It never had a chance to establish itself yet with only half of the possible eps aired by now. Ugh. I hope it can now finally settle in but the ratings have been depressingly low with just 13% for eps 5.

Yeah FL's siblings are the kids of ML's mom too, correct. FL herself however is the birth daughter of their 'current' mom who raised the other two like her own children. Dunno if she has adopted them but whatever. Important is ML and FL are not related but either have half siblings on the respective sides. ML thru his mom and he is just as much a half sibling to FL's siblings as she is. No relation with her friend and ML's sis either tho she is related to FL's siblings thru the same mother like ML is.
I am still not liking Taemin much. Sure he seems nice but he is so high key petty and passive aggressive if he dislikes something? Bad vibes ngl. At least he has given Taeho got a lotta food for thoughts on how he is treating HS. Hope this improves going forward, now where we sloooooooowly leaving the introductory phase behind. Grandma will definitely the way to combine their diverging paths outside of the gym. Also seems she is going to school Hyodo, which is much needed. I really like the bond that is already developing between HS and granny... feels she has found a kindred spirit in HS/feels sorry for her. She is gonna dote on HS later on when she is dating her grandson, i can already tell haha.
Taehee is an absolute QUEEN 👑 The way she throws shade at her rotten mother and outright calls her out is so so so delightful. As is her creative getaways each time. The way she grabbed all the jewelry and bags and made her leave with "don't forget to make my mother pay for it" What a legend. I love her already sm, ngl. How they bleeped shibal and how often they had to had me in stitches hahaahah Hope we get more of her backstory and scenes with Hyodo.
Same for Mirin where we finally got some backstory. She loves theater plays and wants to become an actress. Also her ex is a douche, so no surprise she knows how to handle this rude ass Hyojoon. The way i cheered when she went OFF on him for being a dickhead to his sister, bless. "You don't get to be a lawyer. Try being a better human instead." PREACH SISTER!!! PREACH!
"The lion, the witch and the audacity of this bitch." Sis in law is the most brazen asshole in this show and this is saying a lot. Big bro is best advised to get his son and the hell out of there, leaving this entitled snobby egocentric asshole with her mini me. And the way they fought each other. What a loving, warmhearted family. I swear Phillip is the only normal person there. Welp. Lots of development needed for them to become bearable, but at least has big bro something like a conscience. Wow.
Hyodo is bad too, but there might be hope for him yet. And we got a little preview of what is to come when HS finally has enough. And I enjoyed every second of Hyoshim beating his ass in the boxing ring lmao. I also liked the moment between them after... feels like a bit of progress made, but given the preview it feels not lasting long yet. I think granny is going to be a good influence on HD tho.
I felt sorry for Taemin being stood up by HS which just goes to show how much he is SML, bc his timing or timing in general is always bad haha. I wish she had shot him a text but being wrapped up in her fam bs as she was i get why it slipped her mind. Oh well, no confession for him, but a dinner with obsessive female LI™ I am just glad Taeho as ML is safe from that this time bc the manic stalking bullshit fairy™ from TRHC was enough for three fam dramas, tbh.
Also felt sorry for TH, who seems to always have been second thought to Taemin in everything? Feels like their cousin relationship is gonna go thru a rough patch, especially when he starts to get romantically interested in Hyoshim. Whoops. But like HS Taeho needs someone in his corner, being all alone and amongst wolves, and they can be that for each other <3 Because all the bratty, prickly behavior he shows is a defense mechanism, pure and simple. Can't wait for him to open up to HS, especially knowing they saved his grandma (well after hitting her with a car but details details lmao)
So Taeho gets injured due to ego-lifting next week(end) huh? This happens when you don't listen to your trainer, lol. Maybe he even wanted to impress her, and it looks like he is catching some feels during the stretching heh. Story is finally getting out of its introductory phase after felt 84 yrs due to all the delays, but i really like how it is structured and build up. All makes a hell lotta more sense than TRHC already, the difference is striking, ngl. You just notice that a veteran weekend writer is at the helm who is confident in her story and where to take it, instead of a headless chicken shit who would not even know a coherent storyline and direction if it were to sit on him😂
Hope we get more scenes of the main couple next weekend tho. There is still the taxi scene from the trailer which we are having not seen yet after all. heh.
