I have to rewatch episode 8 to remember where we left off! FWIW, KBS America has those games on Primetime Sunday,…
I see. But it reaaaaaaally is far from that, tbh. Like Live Your Own Life feels like a drama written and taking place in 2023 with the female chars on equal footing and taking none of the shit the male chars throw at them. The narrative also frames it as injustice toward Hyoshim and her fam members as unreasonable instead of making it look it is her filial duty she has to do no matter what.
Unlike Yeondoo and TRHC who both belong more into the joseon era or 1970 if we are generous, as it is outdated as hell with everything.

It didn't. We are still stagnating at eps 4 with eps 5 only next week when i want nothing more than to see more of Hyoshim's and Taeho's bickering hehe. Do you not plan to watch this one? I miss you over there. I am much more into the weekender than the daily atm tbh
I kinda feel tho that while HS is friendly with TM but keeps it professional and distant, while with TH you already…
He is gonna be the biggest puppers once he is in love I'm sure. The flashbacks with his grandma already showed his softer side so I'm looking forward to see it in presence of Hyoshim too while making googly eyes at her heh. And yes Hajun has a good range and knack for timing, comedic or otherwise, so I would love to see him in a full fledged romcom as ML soon. He already does a great job as SML in Destined With You after all ๐
How was chemistry between ml and fl ,kiss, and fl end up with which ml,how was romance rate is?
romance between leads is just subtly hinted at throughout. It is more about the connection they share, the blind understanding in their teamwork/trust for each other, and the way Jangyeol (ML) gradually softens up toward her. They start to date in the last episode, but even this is only implied right before the ending.
I need there to be more scenes of ML and FL together!! Now the love triangle has officially started, I hope it…
I kinda feel tho that while HS is friendly with TM but keeps it professional and distant, while with TH you already notice that he makes her lose that cool distance and professionalism a lot of time and she bickers with him. This man has a talent to get under her skin and the other way around too heh. Which is the (not so) small difference between Taemin and Taeho already, btw ๐
Could you do me a favor and NOT mark a drama that ends next march 2024 as complete in your review? Unless you are a time traveler lmao.
Mark it as ongoing and put in the number of eps you have watched so far. Also update it then from time to time, maybe. Writing a review is not a race to be first just to get some helpful votes, you know? Content matters here.
Do you think that Taemin will end up with the news anchor? I am asking because there is no heart between them…
I think so? Would be better than leaving him forever alone and pining after HS living her best life with Taeho later on. But maybe the whole newscaster lady thing won't work out after all. My guess is as good as yours here. I sure hope she becomes his loveline for real tho
Have I developed a high tolerance on annoying characters? Because I don't hate anyone that much yet (except maybe…
Right? I feel people who complain about "how annoying" all the characters are have either never watched a weekend drama or very little to not knowing that this is how we are starting out EVERY TIME in a family drama. Like that is the basic premise even before the main plot heh. Otherwise there would not be 50 eps with character development among other things but 5 if they all were already perfect little angels. Not to mention it would be boring af ๐
Still, people seem to be expecting and accepting only flawless characters in their kdramas nowadays, when it is actually a journey and so much fun to see them change into better versions of themselves through experiences and failures made. Just like ppl irl, you know? So i just know that all these "annoying" people will change for the better the further the drama goes on. Well maybe not the evil witch aunt, she will ride away on her broom, cackling, instead ๐ But even HS's mom and sis in law that annoy even me will do so, but it needs some patience from the viewer, bc it IS 50 eps after all.
And yes, I really enjoy our three main ladies and the way they are written, as said. Because they are on equal footing with their male counterpart and take none of their shit. I hope this continues this way bc also as said, YD from TRHC started out decent and more feisty too pnly to become the biggest doormat that has ever doormated in a family drama ๐ฌ
all i want to know right now is, WHO HE REALLY IS, why is he doing all that. what are his reasons??????? just…
if i had to guess the thrill and power gained over his victims in knowing everything about them, and using that against them. A cat and mice game, except the mice does not even know it ran into the cat's claws.
But generally, i think we are too spoiled for a grand backstory and reason for a psychopath/serial killer to act a certain way being laid out in extent in every drama. Ofc there is never a good reason to harm, least of all to kill another person, but very often there is none when murder happens irl. So here that guy is just enjoying it and the thrill of power it gives him, which makes it all the more evil, tbh.
if you need a mystery/thriller fix that isn't 16 hours long after that, maybe try this movie on NF with Yim Siwan and our dear police captain here in the main roles. No comedy tho, but 100% more creepy hehe
