What that drama has too many of, TRHC had too few, with us always waiting for the paternity dna test that never came 😂 But yeah as for me, i survived TRHC which without exaggeration was one of the worst tv shows i have ever watched in recent years, so i can take an evil witch aunt riding on her broom while cackling and an useless leeching family. Child's play. Bc I know at least the latter will change. And i already love the leads and their bickering journey to healing thru each other too <3

i mean that is the premise of the drama? Her having enough and living for herself while her ungrateful family has to learn to appreciate her and to do their part instead to treating her like a maid and cashcow.

It is a family/weekend drama. They are always so long. Also it is two eps per week, so imo well manageable to watch heh

I'm not sure what people expect from one singular episode tho? Of course the characters are annoying, because they start out as their worst selves. If you have ever watched a fam drama, you know this. We have 49 other episodes to see them developing into something better and/or be punished (hah, i believe it when i see it) But the first few episodes are always used to set up the story and its framework and this is done well so far.

I am definitely here for the leads, because Hyosim is not the only one who needs to break free. Taeho too, from his loneliness and equally toxic fam, if in another way than HS. Their dynamic may be bickering but it will definitely also be a healing one for both and i CAN'T WAIT to see it 🥰🥰🥰🥰

The maknae couple looks fun too this time around (unlike in TRHC which Sadon couple was a repetitive snoozefest) and pure chaos with this unusual heiress being the deserved trouble for the youngest brother 😁 Those two lovelines are the ones i am looking forward most to see developing ngl.

Oh hell yeah. It has been a long time coming because it's so subtle with how the way Yeol looks at Yebun had really changed from the beginning. Also the continuous name upgrade he's given her. Really love Lee Minki's acting here as he gradually replaced expressions of annoyance with care. The way he looks at her, the soft voice, the bits of jealousy in regard of SML, but you really have to pay attention to it to notice which fits that character really well imo.

It has a good start and more upbeat set up and tone than TRHC. Lots of skeletons in everyone's closet with one designated villain, and lots of character development to come for this selfish af fam. Also Hajoon's char is already crushing on FL it seems 😁 They will resume their bickering tomorrow, can't wait.

Tbf, you always have these types of characters at the start of a family drama. They are annoying and their worst selves by design so that char development makes their journey and difference to the beginning even more stark. TRHC completely failed in that tho, but i am sure we are going to see it done way better here. However this some patience bc obviously this is just the initial character setup and introductions ;)

it is a miracle that hyoshim hasn't murdered her fam yet. Tney are even more useless than the FL's one in TRHC. Gonna watch the second half later with subs. The music and long montage of eerie music leave you no doubt who the villain is. She even has the fitting hairdo 😂 She is threatening TH's granny, carted off in a hard to reach nursing home with her grandson Taeho, if she does not take her meds. Charming. No doubt who is evil lmao

seven minutes in and we have the first hairpulling scene in the gym with an ajumma watching as she eats snacks 😂 They fight for the handsome pt to train with ether of them first

No problem. Mind this is the best case scenario when a family drama is well-written etc, but it can also be frustrating to watch where you wanna strangle characters lol. The prior fam drama was a trashfire and definitely had a lot of characters you wanted to murder hahaha. But that is part of the weekender experience too, the yelling at clouds. Not for nothing has The Real Has Come over 17k comments bc we needed a place to vent as we were suffering through hamfisted badly written, repetitive plot lines with a cold as fish romance and misery for the sake of misery lmao.

LSY is fantastic in Once Again, especially if you want him in a romantic role (well it starts off badly, but he is in a second chance romance loveline so be patient with them. He is the biggest puppers for his ex wife/again wife later on hehe) Dunno if you watch My Lovely Boxer which is his newest work and fantastic too, independent of family dramas. Definitely give it a try, he is leaving no crumbs there acting-wise, so good. And the slow burn buuuurns so well hehe. Sadky it flew completely under everyone's radar:
