Yeah not much there here yet. Since this is a fam drama, it is not the most popular show to watch for people and thus many just don't bother with adding tags etc. There were even several actors missing in the cast whom i added now. May rewrite or change the synopsis too if i find a better one. The current one is just taken from an article to give you a general idea of what is gonna happening in the show.

i am gonna add a few tags later on for approval now that the first episodes are airing, dw. it is just difficult to get tags approved before a show has started airing, is all.

Teasers and everything have hinted at romance, it is a fam drama after all heh. Main leads Hyoshim and Taeho will be the major one with Taemin in the mix for a while. Then maknae couple between HS' youngest brother and TM's heiress sister, her oldest brother and his wife gonna have a storyline i think, and later on Taemin and rich tv news lady are gonna be paired up afaik. Her student brother might have a loveline too dunno who atm, we will see.

Of course there will be. Several lovelines at that.

Or just slow burn. We will see. Still six eps to go after all.

this is not "gone with the wind" but a silly comedy with murder, so the exaggeration is part of it all.

At this point he has to be the killer bc the writers have never stopped with Yebun mooning over his shady ass, so something drastic has to happen for her to finally STOP that nonsense. Like it was cute in the beginning but she has lost all common sense toward this guy and i don't even get why. He is as exciting as a piece of toast and shadier than a NY back alley.

Tbf the large age gap here could be problematic in regards of the power (in)balance, but the actors and writing makes it work here so there is not an imbalance actually. But also a lotta people judge it on that without to look any closer unfortunately.

Look how comfortable Uee and Hajoon are with each other already in the bts from the poster shoot <3 She already calls him Oppa too haha (AJH/BJH have neeeeeverrrr) They are so cute together aww, and the other couples are nice too. Lots of lovelines, exciting <3

If you are completely new to weekend dramas, the best you can do is start with the big three... which are Five Enough, Once Again and My Father Is Strange, since they are very wholesome family dramas without villains and much screeching and makjang (over the top dramatic situations and scenarios)

Once Again in particular is very very good, if not the best of its genre, and the most recent one of the three too (the 100 eps count is basically 100 eps a 30-35 minutes ergo 50 eps a one hour in total.) But you cannot go wrong with either of these three to test the waters.

There is also Homemade Love Story, Never Twice, My Golden Life, It's Beautiful Now, What Happened To My Family etc that are good watches but the three above are best to start out with. Also this drama with Uee here, which starts airing on the weekend looks very promising too. You always find similar dramas in the recommendation tab of a family drama show page so don't be shy to click those and find more to your liking then, maybe.

Avoid The Lady And The Gentleman and the recent finished The Real Has Come as they are garbage fires on top of rotting trash lmao.

You gotta be patient with these shows as chars and relationships develop more slowly and everyone starts out as their worst self basically, but the chars gets much better over time with gradual development as they learn as people do, which is one of the most satisfying things about weekenders/family dramas for me.

an almost kiss at work 😏 Seems to be a popular drama scene then but i am not complaining lol. Have that show on my watchlist btw, but the day needs to have 1000 hours for me being able to watch all that. I miss my bingewatching self lol. Nowadays i barely manage 4 eps a day whoops.

Nah it is a long tradition in SK to have shows where the whole family gathers around the TV and watches together on the weekend. Those shows are their own genre and Korean soap opera basically with its typical tropes. I like it bc the longer eps amount really gives time to gradual character and relationships development, and each char gets their story not just the leads with focus on family and healing, becoming a better self and growing together (again.) Romance of main couple and the other lovelines aka of their siblings etc, if done well, is very endearing too but kept family friendly so no spicy scenes lol. But this is one of the few genres where you accompany a couple from meeting (bickering optional but often happening 🤭) thru learning to get to know and love each other to full on marriage and, if you are lucky, married life as well with kids heh. (often shown in the epilogue of a weekend drama) and their development toward that happens gradually, not without trials and tribulations of course haha

There are also dailies/daily kdrama which have around 120 eps that run on 5 days a week an episode (often 30 minutes only but still) So yeah 😁

I think this was more due to HJ not kissing back being kinda shocked than anything else. We will see how it goes when they are committing to each other and it is thus consensual 😉

The "something off" is called trauma, btw, which he suffered from for a very good reason i might add. His way of dealing with it, especially around eps 9 is certainly not the best or healthiest but trauma/ptsd is never logical, and he makes his way toward healing later on.

Also the show aired during the incheon halloween incident so dealing a lot with death etc a lot had to be revised going forward, which means SFL's role got bigger than it was initially planned basically. Wish she were better written too but she is steeped in entitlement about ML as well, so ehhh.

i made that list back then exactly for this reason hehe. SInce the timeline had a lot of people confused. I also revised the mdl synopsis to reflect that. Yeah i was very into this show as it aired and still love it heh.

Yeah and running together with him is fun while without him it is a bothersome task/chore to do (she literally procrastinated running the day after he told her she needed to run alone now haha) ... KS also refused to tell TY about gramps shipping them... eerrr assumed he was her boyfriend and got all flustered about it 😁 Too cute.
