Ah, totally understand FL's reluctance to get together with ML. With such a mother and the fact that ML can't be tough with her money grubbing mom who has an abusive relationship with the new husband...sigh...
I've seen one close friend getting married with a guy she truly loved, but alas the sis-in-law and parents of the guy were also money grubbers. My friend's mom paid for the whole wedding. The guy's parents and sis-in-law and family were so picky in picking their outfits (they had their outfits made). At the wedding party after the guests were almost all gone, sis-in-law (plus husband and two kids) came on to the podium and asked the photographer to take A LOT of photos of them ('coz they didn't have to pay to print the photos as everything was paid by the bride's parents). UGH...The guy was such a decent, hardworking person, but with in-laws like that, it was hellish at times.
I also know one mutual friend who had rich parents. She got married with a guy who wasn't rich. Before the guy was accepted by the girl's parents, her parents made him swear (not sure if it was a verbal or written contract) that stated that none of his family members or distant relatives would be allowed to ask for financial help. Sometimes having clear boundaries can be helpful. It's more difficult to do so in an Asian household.
I'm a fan of Seventeen and Vernon (mixed American mom and Korean dad) has experienced being treated differently…
Aigoooo...that's too bad. I guess culturally the ones born abroad may be different than the ones born in South Korea (unless they move back at an early age like Vernon who describes himself more culturally Korean than American).
I'm a fan of Seventeen and Vernon (mixed American mom and Korean dad) has experienced being treated differently at school due to this. He's also stated that his other mixed friends at school has experienced bad treatment. Dunno how it's like these days, though.
Trolls and fans in wars have entered the chat, so please do as other people are saying here and just watch it…
Same, intriguing storyline. I wonder why the others kept saying "when she went crazy". I wonder what else she had done in that gossipy hometown of hers.
Am I the only one who loved the "red carpet" walk that FL did along the corridor of the funeral home at the end of ep. 1? When they kept switching the view of the normal black suit of hers with a view of her wearing a black dress and holding a candle (and smokey eye make-up?), it looked SO cool!
REALLY REALLY REALLY love what FL said about how death affected her view on working with people she dislikes. Also how these words in turn inspired someone else to make a career decision he he he he he he...
What a feel-good movie! Although the sub isn't perfect, I really love the sign language portrayal of the three main leads. The romance bit reminded me of the first time I had crushes on boys I only saw once or a few times. Some of them I didn't even know the names, but I could only admire from afar. Just the sight of them could give me butterflies in my stomach (ah, young love LOL!).
I'm loving this drama a lot. I enjoy their immature antics around each other. I think part of it is that their…
They each brought up that side of themselves, esp. since this meeting also started with a misunderstanding (plus their heartbreaking break-up in their teenage years). Alsoooooo the family feud saga that had started way before they were born didn't help, either.
I have to say that the last 20 minutes of episode 5 is about as chemistry filled and romantic as it gets -- for…
Yo! I agree with you. This is the essence of classic romcom that I've been misssiiiinnnggg!!!!! The blooming flowers in his vision just took my breath away - also the vision of her smiling at him from the window and in front of him...to both versions of him teary-eyed. Ah...geezzzzz...
I actually like that the rivalry between the two guys is shown to be helpful in some ways for the grandpa and FL. Fixing around the house, cooking, doing the laundry ha ha ha ha ha...
Also that scene with the towel: "Under The Sea" made me ROFL BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHH...
Though it's not a surprise to see more people liking the teen version more, I wonder if there are people like…
I feel like they act like that in adulthood because they bring out that side of themselves in each other. In front of other people, they don't act like that he he...I cherish people who can bring out my teenage/childlike/childish self in myself and I don't have to act like a grown ass self all the time (FYI I'm in my late 40s already).
I like how their teen selves reminded me of my younger self and how I viewed romantic relationship then vs now. Also how refreshing it was that young FL started laughing TWICE before their first kiss because as a young person, you can be that awkward about your first kiss he he he...it's refreshing as well 'coz it's not a deer-in-the-headlight face on being kissed he he he...

P.S. Even my husband doesn't know my bra size BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHH...and yes, I once asked him that and he went blank LOL!
