I'm Asian, too, living in Europe (spent 28 years in Asia). Both in my husband's and my culture, people aren't used to saying "I love you" in our respective languages. When we got married, I made sure we started with the habit of saying "I love you" (in English). It feels much more natural to say "I love you" in English than saying it in our mother tongue. It feels so cringey to say the words in our mother tongue ha ha ha ha ha...

Her BFF was totally interested in him when he was the teacher in the kiddos' sports club and lots of mommies there also talked about how popular he was, though? Her BFF kept on bragging about his popularity and handsome looks until LYA got interested, so one time LYA picked her BFF's daughter up from that club and realized that the popular sports teacher there was none other than SSC.

In the badminton scene, it makes sense that he wasn't that popular with women during competitions and such because he kept on losing (didn't he say he lost 21 times in a row?) I can understand how a handsome and young athlete can have fans when he's been winning and he's on the pages of the newspaper or something.

Oh yeah, poor An Cong who couldn't eat. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That was SO funny! I can relate to SSC, though. Sometimes when I'm down and angry af, I start chomping down my comfort food like that, too (bad idea!).

I had been reading the comments before watching the ending, so I didn't go into it completely blindsided. For me, after ugly crying and laughing at the comedic bits in the end, I made it up in my head to go backwards in time (in reverse order). So from the real ending going backwards to the happy time they had in Beast Realm (before Man Man was killed) and they continue to live there together he he he he...because that's all they ever wanted: not to rule the world as leaders of XYZ, but to live in harmony together.

The BTS is just awesome! The speed in which he tried to cover her back up (with innocent face trying to figure out if the take was done), how he gently slapped the director's hand away from her 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Almost forgot: he had lots of mommy fans when he was working at the kiddos' sports club ha ha ha...but they couldn't do anything much about it since they were mothers (most probably married or older than him) LOL! I get what you mean, though. The romance part is rather slow (also for my personal preferences), but there are loads of moments where I feel their natural chemistry SO much even in normal circumstances (the way they banter with each other etc.), so for me these scenes make up for the slow romance built-up.

Thank goodness these days there are BTS clips, though. Otherwise we're SO robbed!

Yeah, I was smitten by him right away when I saw him in Maiden Holmes. For some reason I didn't finish the drama (forgot why), but I was so surprised when I found out it was his FIRST drama! His presence on screen is so HUGE in the drama (really main ML material) that I'm just at awe. He's so charming! I really thought he had done at least several other dramas and other smaller roles prior to that one. So yes, I'll definitely see you in that comment section HAHAHAHAHAHAHHH...

Wu Lei's interview on Zhou Yu Tong's character: LYA's heart is the hardest thing to crack in the world. Yeeeepppp.

I love seeing that scene of her hiding behind the pillar ha ha ha...I was like, "See if your logic is still winning the battle against your heart, LYA!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

That said, I feel like LYA's love cells are like a dark, abandoned house filled with cobwebs (been too long since she had her last serious relationship, which ended badly). It's hard for her to see things clearly because of the darkness of her haunted past as well as her own mother and best friend's ugly experiences in marriage (also her boss' affair). It will take time for her to get rid of the cobwebs and clean up the place in order to let the light shine in (so that she can also welcome love inside again).

Funnily enough, I actually think it's refreshing to have a mother character that doesn't try to set their kids up in blind dates or with someone that she thinks is good enough for their kids or mothers who keep guilt-tripping their kids with "When are you going to give me grandkids? You're already this old and time is ticking". Not saying I like her POV, though, but the minute her character appeared on screen, I was like, "Eh? This is interesting" he he he...

Same! I LOVE ZLH in the role, too (he's such a fine specimen of a young actor) he he he...that's why I'm looking forward to Kunning Palace (let him get the girl!). In the heavenly realm, it feels like he's being put in a straitjacket despite his high rank. Yep, agree with you regarding Jieli and what Yetan could have been if the writing went on a different course.

Same, I also find Jieli's character to be grating (even when I know her background to be pitiful, but it's really hard to sympathize with her and I can't even summon any empathy). Agree with you regarding Changheng and Danyin as well as Rong Hao and his shifu. I actually enjoyed the brotherhood between Changheng and Danyin in the mortal world. Changheng is able to be more expressive and free there.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that drunk LYA scene whispering in SSC's ear. The tensionnnn OMG!!!!!!!! It'll probably stay as one of my fave scenes of this drama, esp. because they had such a fun time in the taxi ride (lots of funny moments, too) as well as the hallway scene.

I also kinda hoped a little bit that LYA tried more to patch things up. I was expecting more from her when she came over to the alleyway where SSC lived, but I wasn't disappointed (dunno why). Let's see what the next episodes are going to be like.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH...high five!!!!! Yeah, dunno how I would have rated LBFAD if I had seen it first, but for me personally, I can't get myself to like the 2nd CP in LBFAD (feels like skipping over them and I did ffwd their scenes) and I don't really feel too much for the master-student couple either, whereas in TSL there are SO many loveable CPs and non-CP side characters that I love whenever they reappear on screen because of their chemistry, the pacing + plot + writing (no skipping or ffwd-ing). TSL sets the bar SO high ha ha...

SAME!!!! I'm also glad he got to show his true age (obviously she was his first). And yep, I've felt the same way for SO many of their lighthearted moments (like the one on the bridge). One of the strengths of this drama is how natural it feels for the two leads. It made me forget sometimes that they're acting and this is just a drama. But I guess that's also because off screen, that's how they've been interacting. I've seen some of their interview clips (though most of them aren't fully subbed). He joked with her a lot and then she started laughing and then they laughed together etc. etc. etc.

Too bad it's CRASH BOOM BANG after that...ARRRGGHHH...we'd really like to have him learn more LOL! 🤪
